Motion is for the adoption of House Committee Substitute 1. Is there any discussion of the Committee Substitute? Seeing none, those in favor signify by voting aye. Those opposed nay. House Committee Substitute 1 is adopted. Gentleman from Rockcastle. Thank you Mr. Speaker. Back in 2024, this body passed Senate Joint Resolution 179 which charged KCTCS to come up with some recommendations to streamline their operations. We've worked with President Quarles for over a year now in implementing some of those recommendations and we've incorporated them within House Bill 619. The purpose of the bill is to, like I said, streamline, find efficiency, and make sure that KCTCS is healthy now and in the future as well. We added a provision within the bill that was found in the House Committee Substitute that attaches a liaison from KCTCS to economic development. That way when the Secretary is out pitching Kentucky, we can be assured that KCTCS can meet those workforce demands of any of our future employers here.
