Åhman/Hellvig vs. George/Saymon - Pool Play Highlights | João Pessoa 2026 #BeachProTour

It's our live coverage of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour coming to you the first event of the season from Joao Pessoa and we are underway it's the number 10 seeds from Brazil serving at the far end of your screens in yellow against Sweden the number three seed in white on the near side of your screens and it's Denise Austin here with you on center court for the final round woman and Helvic have won two already what a touch oh my goodness if Brazil could keep that flying that would be something pretty special that's a bit devastation 21.8 21.15 then they played Vala and Pristaus yesterday evening and they had a battle on their hands 18.21 21.17 and Vala and Pristaus has got the win over Jorge and Simon and Simon got the win over Colbert and they need they need Vala and Pristaus to get the win over the Americans and expect early form to sustain throughout the course of the match Jorge with a beautiful pass Simon with a high set and that is a beautiful clip five one serving five beyond two opened up the shoulder there was no doubt that this was shot incoming just took a look at the defense and just fired it deep into the bottom corner just a little nod of the head and then as he is about to swing he's really got conviction in the finish to the empty space vicious hands but no block and you can be sure that Orman was on it but Simon with some incredible defense looks for the wipe off and misses good contained passing from Brazil and that is a thump down the line it opened up the shoulder just hit where you're facing don't there's the on two into the bottom corner and at that point it's really difficult point to Brazil six to twelve there's the on two but the jump bump set beautifully done but was it over the net no in this instance for Brazil's sake it did oh good reactions from Jorge oh incredible layout what underhand timing and Orman with a line tag to finish um no need to break through the referee's stand challenging serve from Simon but that jump bump side set from David Orman has caught Simon really oh and that is a not even a trickle ace it's a crawling hit the middle of the net and then pulls its way along into double figures they go this time through the middle that is a beautiful jump set different shapes really fast the way they're playing the game just having to just triple time what a touch but not to control Simon taking a good long look at the signals from Jorge and what a delivery is incredible the gymnastic ability the ability to turn back to the line it is sublime oh that's what a swing helping a little bit narrow on the block so he's a little bit bent out of shape but that is an aggressive set and what a contact all he's done is just get up there and just get something to deviate it and this brings up eight set points for Sweden Brazil hitting the seam effectively one point saved seven more to go highly unlikely and Sweden take it at the second time of asking first there in the back 21 13 they will probably go into a number crunch with Jorge and Simon if they don't win this so a bit of an uncrunchable play it's always good to have a rough idea of what's happening and coming out of the umbrellas the start of set two beautiful transition lovely cross body swing from Jonathan Helbig Sweden continue their dominance shaking up Brazil through that middle but the seams continue to be the pressure point cavalier maverick passion that Simon brings needs to maybe reach to the crowds get them behind them great touch Leon to right at George but just a little shallow in the court can't quite get at that moment maybe is the thing that is needed tricky good movement aggressive swing oh what a touch foot skills high ball reset the defense can Brazil go again they can opportunity now for Jorge and he takes it the crowd is wild in the warm-up Simon was showing his foot skills we've seen this before and he's bringing it out again lovely open body pass from JLJ oh and Orman yet again with the underhand skills but this time oh JLJ read it good take from Simon helping George out in the middle and what a wipe off that is clever good lift tricky what a touch the tomahawk set opportunity but Orman it's gone long Simon followed it it wasn't sure good pressure from Simon he is following Orman and they get this second set job done these five points are going to be massive oh what a touch opportunity now oh so close to containing Orman but he is not containable yet the big good take this is tricky inside and clever beautiful take there's a jump set Simon trying to get that left hand across but not pressing on helping going again no surprise it goes to Simon oh what a touch oh that is sublime what an underhand dig recovery line blocks Helbig gets in has to move they were not able to get the wheels on 19 all set point match point incoming who what's it going to be it's on Simon and it is a massive block a monster moment from Jonathan Helbig there he is he's stuck with he is fist bumping for the match point for Sweden here it is and it is saved by Brazil 20 all Sweden have reversed their side 20 all can Brazil rescue it for a set point Helbig gliding in creating incredible angles into the left hand of Jonathan Helbig on the baseline serving for top of the pool and the crowd noise tells you all you need to know if you weren't looking at that screen at that time can Brazil find the defense right now Big Amriti has given it to Sweden and it's the third match point Brazil struggling off the net but they're working hard there's the power recovery George he goes with the power and into the block and apologizes to Simon because Sweden have taken it home 23 21 they have got their first win over the number 10 seats from Brazil
