Abayomi | Rise Up | Full Performance | American Idol 'Ohana Round 2026

Hi everyone, my name is Abayemi Lewis and I will be singing Rise Up by Andra Day. I'm doing this song for my mother. She is a single parent and life is not easy being a single parent. She has taught me to rise up against all things that I'm dealing with and it inspires me. I know I can rise up. We will rise, we will rise, we will rise, oh, we will rise, yeah, for you, for you, we will rise. She's freaking 16 and she's like a Disney star, you know what I mean? Yeah. And for a singer to have like that big belt and a beautiful head voice like that is so rare. If the time takes California.
