I believe Elon text you. Yeah, so I was just in mind of my own business in the morning And he called me up. He's like, oh, he called you. He called me. Did you know his number? He had mine Information. Yes, cool. I unblocked him and he's like, hey, I would love to collab with elk shape For years, we've been filming the public land hustle. This is year four. We want to get you that footage earlier and sooner So we were thinking with this technology. We're gonna try to go live Updates once a week on the channel for those that aren't elk hunting and maybe you're between elk hunts to get you fired up And so, you know how we're doing and how our struggle bus is going down the road This is going to potentially change the game for us because you know public land hustles hard Jeff I've been kicked off public land. You guys seen that video I've had people using airplanes and helicopters to chase elk off public land on to private check that video I've had dirt bikes break. Check that video. I had Cameramen maybe get in trouble in the backcountry on their motorcycles. Check that podcast Those aren't even those are not the hardest part of elk hunting for me It's not seeing my kids my wife for an entire month and now I should be able to do a quick Wi-Fi call Potentially FaceTime see their faces You're gonna see Dan a little more stoked each and every day because I'm staying in communication with my family And we're excited to bring this content to you guys, man Honestly, stay tuned for that for sure And I'm excited about that and then lastly like the reason why it's the public land asterisks is we got here's our hunt lineup Okay, we're gonna kick things off with antelope and elk in the desert in Idaho Then we're gonna head down to New Mexico chase some public land bulls there Then if we haven't killed in Idaho yet, we're gonna come back to Idaho and try to punch that tack Then we're heading to Utah, which is a private ranch. That's the asterisk So we're doing some private ranch hustling, but we always keep it real. You'll know where we are what we're doing Then we head to Montana once again to follow Tyler Denham as he's going to do a hunt with his Friends and family and loved ones and this hunt is dedicated to the memory of his father who passed away last September Who was one of my dad's best friends and it's gonna be a really impactful film that we're gonna do with Tyler looking forward to That bringing it all to you guys Jeff. Let's roll the footage week one Don't choose what times you get 2 a.m. Then I bought a bike a dirt bike No, this is a piece of ---- you had a dirt you got a new one Give me the camera. I want to film Jeff guys. Oh my gosh for those you don't know. We found a TTR for free That I took back. I bought a new carb for it I bought a new motor for it and it was a Chinese carb. So it just wasn't running. Well, so we hopped online we did some browsing and Got hooked up with the Harbor Harbor Motorsports Harbor Motorsports, they're all hunters dude Harper where they out of just north of Coeur d'Alene I mean, it looks same but looks like hey, you got room for one more. I want to go to Aspen Yeah, that's cool So my theory is like if we're in timber ochre bugling and I think it's gonna be a 60 and under type shot Especially like if I'm calling this is going on. I'm gonna knock up with this These are my tried and true grim reaper pro series These are the micro Hades three blade with the chisel tip. I can these fly great out Easily out to a hundred so it's kind of like If I'm gonna shoot an elk and it doesn't know I'm there and it's past 50 yards. I'm gonna use this If we're in the timber and it's calling this is just an ultimate penetrator and it's gonna leave a big hole That's the new sever With the bleeder that's gonna be that's a 125. That's gonna be our primary Being very patient today We did set up a ground blind over water, but it did rain last night. So there's puddles everywhere. So We wanted to put the ground blind on ice. We went way across the desert is probably 10 miles as the crow flies and We've just been patient just sitting in this master vantage glassing and we got a group of three bucks that we've been watching and they've Just been slowly working their way kind of closer to us And I would say The shadows are now behind us like we have shadows We have topography Just gonna hang out and see if we can kind of get lucky and make a move Straight there they grouped up with that doe and fawn and they're angling towards the blind a little bit I mean if they feed this way we could get in this stay in this dip Good job antelope. You're in a spot. I can't stop Let's go check my elk trail cameras today and And then in the evening we have time we'll do some spot stock antelope hunting. We've brought some blue cow decoys There's just not that many antelope in this desert. So I'm gonna shoot a few and then we'll go check a camera And then this evening we'll go see if we can find something to spot stock in the pancake desert Okay, we shot a bow. Now. Let's go check two cameras come back and then we'll go antelope hunt Hey, good morning from camp. I'm gonna go chase some antelope today Behind me is where Jeff's truck usually is. He's gone yesterday. He fell on his motorbike kind of on the flat desert I think he was going 35 40. Anyways, he crashed he's wearing a helmet But he landed on his ankle really bad. So he's headed to the closest town Three hours away to get an x-ray. See if it's broken If it's not broken, he'll get a boot. He'll get crutches and he will not quit. We will not quit We will adapt we will overcome if you have a second today throw a prayer his way. He's tough, dude He's not just a cameraman to me. He's a true photographer Videographer editor creative and he's a major piece to the elk shape puzzle So we're rooting for him and we'll give you an update when he comes back at dark tonight We'll see how it goes Hustle, here we go guys, so My ankles not broken, but it hurts a lot so Just take it easy for the next couple days. Let's go Hey guys, we are opening day elk season set my tree stand over water I've never killed an elk in August and I've never killed an elk out of a tree stand I'm trying to do that. I have tonight and I have two and tomorrow to do that I did hear four bugles a couple of them were really close. I got excited didn't see any elk getting ready to head out tonight I wanted to show you a part of my system that I hope I get to use and when I get something Lord willing This is the bedlam and I'm just gonna show you one part. So this was set up to go antelope hunt Midday but that didn't work out. That's a long story. Oh, this is what I want to show you so This is that on X drop that they did sold out a couple of hours speed goat 2.0 Very sharp, and I can't wait to slice and dice. That's one of the things I can't wait to use This is from base camp spelled with the K not a C This is basically I lay this on the ground when I'm working up an elk or any critter Because I'm a huge fan of zero dirt or debris on my meat And so when I lay this out and I'm butchering an animal solo, especially that rear quarter You can kind of position this whole tarp and keep your meat clean Oh Obviously have game bags in here. They're synthetic. I'm not gonna show you those but I'm excited to use those but this is a contractor bag I'm out here and I'm not gonna go home for a month and I don't want to get my backpack bloody I know that's weird, but blood stinks and I don't have the resources to clean it So a lot of times I bring a contractor bag and I'll put a quarter or two quarters in this Inside my bag good to go You'll get a little bit of blood on your backpack, but not like saturated. And so these are the items I'm hoping I get to use maybe tonight Lord willing. It's gonna be about a 22 yard shot I'm gonna use that iron will wide and Hopefully I can pull it off.
