Argentina's president praised President Trump this weekend, saying his leadership is helping
bring about the end of 21st century socialism.
Here's Javier Mele speaking at the closing ceremony of the Madrid Economic Forum.
In fact, they are all branches or franchises of the same filthy garbage everywhere, which
is 21st century socialism.
But fortunately, thanks to the courage and valor of Donald Trump, it is falling apart.
Mele also praised what he called Western values and said he hopes freedom for Cuba is not
far off.
The Argentine president spoke for about an hour and a half, focusing mainly on free market
principles.
He was met with applause and cheers from the audience, made up mostly of business leaders,
economists, and advocates of liberal economic ideas.
If we want to emerge from our dark present, we must once again draw inspiration, as I
mentioned before, from Western values, Greek philosophy, Roman law, the integrity of the
Stoics, and Judeo-Christian values, because in doing so, we will be saving the West.
Mele defended capitalism as the only system capable of delivering prosperity and opportunity.
During the speech, he argued that socialist ideas and heavy state intervention ultimately
lead to poverty-stricken societies.
He also emphasized principles like private property and non-aggression as key drivers
of economic growth.
Mele wrapped up his speech by calling on supporters to continue what he called a cultural battle
in defense of freedom.
He said he believes the global tide is beginning to turn against socialism.
