Tennis Players Share Something Nice Or Spicy About Their Fellow Players

What you're going to do is you're just going to pick a player and then we're going to talk about them. My favorite guy. Is that Lerner? Yeah. I've got two cards right here. So if you get the green one, we're going to talk positive. If you get the red one, you have to say something spicy. I picked red. Spicy bot Yannick. You know, I would say he's quite a good driver in the car and he's got maybe spicy Italian blood in him. You said he's a good driver. Well, a good driver, I can see him in the rearview mirror. It's very good. I picked green. I like Grigor because he's funny. Always trying to be stylish in everything he's doing. Even the way he's talking inside. He's a super, super nice and funny guy. I chose red. What I hate about Hubie Hurcatz. How he walks up to the court, walks up to serve, just wobbles around like he's not even interested. Gets up to the line, bounces the ball a couple times. Doesn't look interested. And then serves a 234k an hour ace. It is so frustrating, mate. Show a little bit of passion, all right? At least make me feel better about myself after you've aced me. But you do it every single time and you make it look way too easy. I don't like that about you. I picked green. Shout out Gilt, man. Hell of a career. He's been doing it for so long. He's been one of the most fun guys to watch for so long. He plays with such a joy. He's super athletic in the locker room. He's been super influential to me. Always been an older brother to me. Always wanted the best for me. So I hope nothing but the best for you. And I hope we get to play. We better play doubles. Let's not be messing around with that. Let's play doubles, man. And again, I wish you nothing but the best. Nothing but love. This guy is Gabriel Diallo. One of my closest friends on tour and in life. Great person. Got a great heart. I think always comes with the best intentions towards people. What I like about him, I would say, is the level of curiosity in general. I think with his career and everything in life, I mean, we have great conversations. He's very open-minded, curious. And he just seems to just take in whatever information comes around. I chose green. Brandon is a nice guy. Very chill. And we practice sometimes. And him and his team, they're great people. So those are great things about Brandon. I picked red. Sasha. In general, yeah. Like his own style of being on court. The way he is. You know, the way he plays. Like underarm serves, you know. Some players find it negative. I drew the red. So I need to tell some spicy things about Ljarno. I don't know him that well. But he for sure is very tough for me to play against. I think I'm tough to play for him against me as well. Because our styles of playing match up. Kind of. And we always have these crazy rallies. Spicy thing is that after the last match in Shanghai in the locker room, he told me, why are we doing this to each other? And I was like, yeah, but probably if we play again, we're gonna do the same. So pretty fun. And I guess a bit spicy at the same time. I got green. Tommy is actually like a really good roommate. He's super clean and organized and neat. I mean, anyone that knows Tommy, I don't think you would actually like expect that. I'm actually the really like messy, disorganized one. And he is very tidy and clean. I chose green. I picked Matteo because he's one of the players that I know better. He worked with my dad, also with my godfather. We are a big friend, of course, on the tour. It's my first or second year here. So I was a little bit alone and he helped me a lot to make me happy on the tour. I love to see him on the tour. I love to see him healthy. And I hope he's gonna come back in the top 10. I choose green. This guy is one of my best friends on tour. We know each other since we are literally 10. We always share so many great memories together. Tough moments also because tennis and life, it's a matter of up and down. We were always supporting each other in the high and in the down. So one of my best friends. So I hope he's having a really fantastic and tremendous season this year. So I got red. Every time when we were practicing back home in Prostyov, I was a little bit pissed when he was parking at the spot where I always wanted to park usually. So at the moment I was always like, oh my god, like I need to come earlier. There is something with him, you know. I don't know why he's choosing this parking spot, but probably it's the best one. But yeah, I don't know if he knows about that. But yeah, that's kind of like a story that came into my mind. Outside tennis, we're the same age, but he has two kids already. So that's unbelievable. I mean, it's also one dream for me. So I'm proud for him. And then I wish him all the best with the family, with the kids. In tennis part, I mean, this guy has an unbelievable hand. It's crazy. I see the best slice feeling and the best passing shot, best lob in my life. I chose green. All right, this guy. He made my tennis on 2023 because of him. And I have a chance to go into Madrid. I guess everyone knows the story, but maybe someone didn't know this. But let me repeat one more time. Because of this guy beat me in Tallahassee in Challenger in US. And then I can fly to Madrid to play the ATP 1000. If I win the match against him, I wouldn't fly to Spain because I have to play semifinal. And because of him beat me, I made a quarterfinal in Madrid. But anyway, he knows we made a joke already.
