Everton win the ball back early looking to settle on things here is for a galley and pain with a
pace is breaking in behind and spurs a stretch so early in the match great chance and what a stop
leaves her cop off of her line to keep out Everton brilliant goalkeeping.
That's fantastic goalkeeping there from Kop I think Tottenham Hotspur just switched off in the
build-up to this and Tony Payne was really alert driving forward but Kop's equal to it
yeah and she makes a really early positive decision which you need from your goalkeeper and
Tottenham Hotspur will need to switch on.
Cross does eventually come into the middle it's a decent delivery towards Tamberg
and that's her centre forward instinct she did get onto it yeah Everton are gonna have to be a
be aware of that as the ball does come in from these crosses from wide areas they'll look to do
that early space and Tamberg does well to get on the end of it I think Brosman was equal to it
to check her work that down the line well and this is great football from Everton
Cramshaw trying to get away from Bartrip she has Mimiki hits a crisp shot right into the corner
brilliant goal you come Mimiki finds the net and Everton with their second major chance of the day
have scored their first goal Lisa Kop couldn't get down to it first nil Everton won it's a great
bit of play from Everton just finding the space down this left hand side it's Cramshaw who drives
in field really brave and finding Mimiki at the edge of the box and I think it takes a deflection
on the way in with the shot as Mimiki struck it but it's really positive from her she's been
great form of late you can Mimiki and who say first thought is to take a strike and
as Kop can't get down to it in form Everton three league wins in a row coming into this
are up at Tottenham Oxford here's Payne with that pace feels she's got the better of black
sat super running and behind good defending in the end and desperate defending from Spurs
this is all about paying on the right hand side she just picks up the ball and the bravery
the trickery the directness just to go at black start and I think it's vibrant coming in at the
back line there who clears it but yeah she does really well really positive from paying out that
right hand side they just needed Everton to get on the end of it I mean William's beaten to it in
so diagonal ball will it reach pain yes it will and the finish was inventive but just wide from
Tony Payne as Everton are so close to doubling their advantage that's Vignola with the switch
ball she sees the space to try and find pain in and blacks that can't clear it and pain just
can't steer it towards goal when they do find her in those spaces she can be really dangerous
oh what a ball into pain who turns pain again and this time into cop super move Vignola's past set
her away that vision from Vignola there just to slot it through and take out four or five
Tottenham players in the move between the lines great vision from here Vague coming up on the
Holt again oh what trickery Olivia Holt that's extraordinary and unfortunately for Spurs it
doesn't lead to a meaningful chance at Brosnan's goal what an unbelievable bit of trickery that was
from Holt it's the confidence in it to be able to do this with three Everton players around you
threatening position Bethany England just off of the bench and an early sign that she's going to
be a threat here in this second half it's positive down this right hand side from Vikings headers
nowhere near goalwards but again just showing signs of that they're trying to get themselves
back into this game Tottenham Fernandez for Checo picked up brilliantly in centrefield by Gali the
Italian Tony Payne hovering on the shoulder of Blackstaff at the far post as Vignola's cross
might work out oh a pain couldn't get a toe onto that it's positive play from Vignola again down
this left hand side just wanting to cut inside she's gone to try and find pay to couldn't connect
with it oh well worked again by Everton Hannah Blundell racing forward Olivia Holt's down for
Spurs down at the other end by the way Blackstaff stands up defensively to the challenge but
Cramshaw's kept this alive for Everton back with Lawley did well to keep that move going
Micky's delivery oh and it's just flicked onto the roof of the net and Pacheco was one of those
in the middle yeah probably not who we expect to be getting on the end of this but Pacheco
from Micky's delivery manages to connect of it just over the bar
Spence getting word that Olivia Holt's going to have to come off in a moment for Tottenham
Gallup set still going Gallup set and she manages to squeeze it in
her first goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gets the host level into the final quarter of an hour
Gallup set's the one who's made the difference for them today and she just pulls it out of nowhere
really to beat Brosnan I think Brosnan's probably surprised to see it kind of drift in it beats two
players who are in the box as well and can't clear it's pinpoint for her and yeah it's a good finish
from Gallup set Tinker Tamburg what could play shot passing from Everton Lawley again
Gabbaro in the middle there she is better from Everton they've upped it a little bit with this
double change yeah that kind of fresh energy coming in from the sidelines you can see what's
kind of done to them think Gabbaro as well Spinola just picking up in the centre of the park
playing out into Melissa Lawley who's trying to get the cross into Gabbaro she does really well
she just can't quite get it down and get across the top of the ball but positive from Everton
oh great running might be in here Gabbaro Gago in the middle waiting for it and the double change
proves inspired for Everton right in front of the travelling support from Merseyside
turned in by Kelly Gago and Everton lead in North London for a second time what a ball
by Pacheco down that left hand side ball comes in and Gago a fantastic finish and that's exactly
why these two have been sent on it's the link up from Gabbaro the finish from Gago and the
celebration with the Everton fans to show what it means to put a side up 2-1 here's Mace it's
a super ball well waited again into Bondell on the movement off of the ball from Everton now
really good Lawley in oh what a save by Kopp flicked it onto the frame of the goal and Everton
nearly had the victory sealed what a save this could prove to be for a team and keeping them in
it right at the last moment as Melissa Lawley tries to sneak one in at the near post and it's
a fantastic save Lawley takes the strike point blank range for Kopp who can nick it onto the
post and again keeps the team in this a 2-1. Rybrink goes long England it does break
England Bondell with a challenge Mathilde Nilden sees the runner the runner is Blackstats who
couldn't quite judge it and Brosnan does enough to see Everton home with all three points what
a victory for Scott Phelan's side that's four in a row in the Barclays WSL they have really
turned things around and the late strike from Kelly Gago has decided this one in North London
Tottenham Oxford 1 Everton 2. I think in the first half we maybe could have had one more goal if we'd
been truthful we're happy with some of our phases of play just towards the end of the first half
you could sense Tottenham got a little bit more control than maybe they had early in the game
so we spoke about that what to expect and it proved the start of the second half was tough
in terms of territory not so many chances at goal but definitely they had more possession
and more control than what we did which in that moment took a big collective effort
and then as the game's going on we ended up getting a reward after conceding a goal so
the response to that was brilliant and say the subs that came on made a big impact definitely
towards the end of the game but the goal that we scored was a big example of that
we were okay with the ball in the second half but some of our defending we were we wasn't nowhere
near we wasn't close enough wasn't aggressive enough we didn't get close enough in the duels
to shut anything down and when you don't do that you get punished and yeah they punished us
especially with the second goal we wasn't 100% in all the actions maximal and when you're not
you get punished and never mind there probably could have been more
