And welcome to TD Garden. We're past the midway point of March, which means there's less than a month left in the regular season. He's getting better by the game and he's in the starting line-up. Brought to you by Jordan's. For a limited time, get free white glove delivery. Visit jordans.com. For the Celtics, White, the Jays, Hauser, and Cata. For the Suns, Devin Booker, who did not play in the first meeting of the season. This is year 11 for him. Eighth season in a row, he's averaged at least 25 points a game. He sent me those. I got a box he gave me three different pairs. We should have coordinated. Next time we do this, we'll both wear our 7-4-1s. Okay. You got some? I got some too, yeah. Jacket, a couple quarter zips. JB takes care of his people. Good crew tonight. Josh Tibben, Mark Lindsey, Ashley Moyer, Gleash. And the three ball falls for Royce O'Neal. Hauser getting some early run, defending Booker. Cata switched on to him. Iguodoro left alone, 5-0 Phoenix start. Yeah, I don't like that start right now that we've had defensively. Can't get a better look than that. And that was really the story of the first quarter in this matchup in Phoenix, is the Celtics getting good looks, but not knocking them down. The Suns off to a scorching start. And the last time we, this is exactly how the game went the last time we played them. Cata's fouled and the bounce. Break Bam's new second place mark. Cata with the good hands, got the steal on Booker. Hauser leads the charge, kick it out, Tatum. Over to White for three. It's good. Jalen Green shooting it well lately. That's a high percentage shot. Whoa. And I could see that coming from, at the logo. You could tell that his eyes got wide and looked like he was gonna attack one way or the other. And he sure did. And Tatum, that counts just the same on this end. Green is a guy who was the former second pick in the NBA draft, now on his second team after Houston traded him here in the Kevin Durant deal. This is Booker trying to get to his spot against White, that's tough. Yeah, if he gets there, man, it's gonna be a long night for whoever's guarding him. You gotta try to keep him off of that spot and get into his spot. Ooh, Brown, great move to get to the basket. Cata, the offensive rebound. Tatum with room. Oh, yeah. Come on, Seth. White to steal, set it up. Brown inside Cata. Had it knocked away. Booker, the hit ahead for Green, who swats it over to O'Neal for three. A pretty new opponent Dick Light puts in his pregame notes. The Celtics record for points against this opponent is, it's usually Larry Bird. Gillespie for three. He was frustrated with the official and then pushed Baylor. Pritchard keeps it hot for Shireman. Cashes out for three. I never said take that. I don't gotta push back, but I'm gonna hit a three on you. He has really found his place in this Celtics rotation. Jumped the passing lane there. Shireman, the intercept. Feeds Brown for two more. Tatum snaking the screen. Find the open man. Brown moves it. Garza hits it. That was set up by Garza. And hopefully, Booch will be back in time to gear up for the playoffs. Hugo Gonzalez into the game. Chasing around Grayson Allen. He needs to not watch his feet. That's how you get shook. Banks it in to put Phoenix back in front. Gillespie missed the shot. Gonzalez controls the rebound with a minute left in the first. It is Brown draws two. Pritchard fires and hits. Allen loads up a three and hits it. Better phone stone. Where can I get one of those bobbleheads at? You're asking the wrong person, man. I don't know. Possession right there that we just had. We forced him to do everything except make a shot. Ooh, and Derek White. He is pulling to start the second. You can just play basketball freely. White has the hot hand. See if they find him. Shireman does. White puts it up and puts it in! Three! Like Kenny said, guys, I don't disagree. When it comes to winning, I want D. White on my team. All he does is make winning basketball plays, and sometimes that's making three threes in a row, as he did, which led to... Heywood Highsmith in the game, playing for the fifth time this season. Former Miami Heat swingman, and he makes the three. They do know his value. I think that his numbers, because usually it's based on numbers, and usually early on in the season, his numbers aren't that great, but his numbers is great tonight. 200 threes, 100 blocks, and an excellent podcast. That'll be his line at the end of the year. Jalen Green from the mid-range. White and Pritchard deserve a ton of credit for that. Celtics win the margin. Here is Brown. Nasty! White comes to help out Kada. Use the screen. Laid it in! Gray screened it in. Derek White held off his man, so he wasn't able to come over here and block the shot. That was really good offense. The Celtics offense is humming, and Kada with a rejection. He went up with Jalen Green. What a sick dunk earlier in this game. Now Green, tough shot. The bounce. I like strawberry, banana, and pineapple. That sounds nice. That sounds refreshing on a 90-degree day in Phoenix. You understand me? Highsmith hits again. Sounds like it's gonna happen. Yeah, we'll see which team moves conferences. Pritchard hits a bomb from way down. Green with the silencer. 15 for Green. Booker has six. Brown, kick it out. Tatum, bullseye! The Jays link up for three. So Celtics going with a small lineup here. No traditional center in there, and Booker shoots over the top. Tatum, Pritchard, White, Brown, and Hauser. Inside, it's White. No look to Pritchard, a thing of beauty. He caught an elbow. He probably caught an elbow. I'm not gonna speak on that like that, but he's gonna have to come out of the game. It's J.B. Beat the buzzer! Half an inch away from being something much worse than that, but Pritchard back in the game as Booker goes to the hole. Celtics play in this small lineup, which is the first time we've seen this five-man unit. Hauser, White, Brown, Pritchard, and Tatum. Offensively, this lineup should do numbers. Well, the sun's not really that big either, though, at the same time. Gets the bounce. Just scoring? Scoring, that's it. Might be in the top 10. So is this guy, Jalen Brown. It's just the way he gets his best bucks. You know, he does it three levels. Using that strength. As the Celtics miss back-to-back threes in what has been a scorching second quarter from downtown. Everyone knows Booker's gonna shoot right now, and it doesn't. Brown in the lane. Now Pritchard drives it. Bounce it inside for Nemi on the jam. Good Pritchard, good recognition right there. Watching Phoenix's small lineup. Five to shoot. It's Hauser. Gets rid of it. Tatum going to work. JT flies in for the deuce. Every game, he's looking stronger and stronger, and more and more like himself. I think that first game, especially with everything that was around, the energy in the building, him coming back, I think it's just getting back to being normal playing basketball. Devin Booker stays. Here is Tatum again, going to his left hand. He's bumped, and the basket goes. It's Booker. It's a three. He has found his throw. Much different team with him out on the floor. Jalen Green's a better player when he's out on the floor. Jalen Brown attacking the basket. Brown posting up against the smaller Gillespie. Got to his spot and put it in. 13 points. Brown the top scorer with 23. JT corrals it. Now he wants some block work. Put it in. He exploded. A super athlete. Hauser on the cut. That's a nice set. Why is the rum gone? I don't know if the rum was gone yesterday in Southie. I'm sure people were having a good time, as they should. Oh my goodness, Devin Booker is unstoppable. Suns 15 of 15 at the stripe. They have got the deficit back to five. Tatum drives and finishes. Got the matchup that they wanted with Grayson Allen out chasing Tatum. Taller, stronger. And Booker has the answer. I mean, what he got, 31 right now? Michigan State might have a chance to go to the Final Four this year. Here is Brown. Cato out to Shireman. Yes. Shireman running the pick and pop. Baylor the cross. And hits the shot. That's fancy. Looks like a euro to a de-sale. All in one. Baylor Shireman's out here falling today. Three for three from the floor. Eight points, three rebounds, two assists. 16 minutes for Shireman. Booker. Suns with the ball down by five. Two and a half to play in the third. Here's Grayson Allen. Attacks the closeout. Might have gotten away with one, but made his way to the basket. Five to shoot. It's Pritchard. Loves these late shot clock situations. And passes out for three. Goodwin walled off by Ugo. Nice turnaround though from Jordan Goodwin. That was it. Ugo couldn't do anything. Booker has played the entire third quarter. 30 plus again. That one is online and true. 35. And that's crazy. You think about Pritchard for three. He's made five threes. Pritchard launches. Hits from way outside. Put that work in on Highsmith. Took him to the dance floor, but missed the layup. And JB ran into the cameraman down low. Green with the dunk on the other end. Green attacking Brown. Pulls up. Bounce. White to catch and shoot. Pritchard, the only guy in that area. Got the rebound. Bouncing inside. White puts it up. And in. Like the cut by Dean White. That's a big fella to create some space so you could make that layup, but. Well, now you have. Not even at ASU? No, I'm talking about for me. He was, you know, MVP. I know. I thought maybe when you were a Sun Devil, they'd give you the MVP. No, no, no, no. Here goes Pritchard. Brown sees the shot clock. Rises up. Makes the shot. He's been in the mid-ranks all season long, and, you know, they talk about his left hand, and he's got so much better at that. He's got so much better with his efficiency from the mid-ranked game. Celtics have Houser, Cata, Brown, White, and Pritchard. Throw right back to what's working. Jalen Brown for two. And there is 30-31. Now Tatum defending green. Booker going on Shireman. Booker back in the game, and he scores right away. You gotta get a stop right here. Good win for three right in front of the Celtics bench. Had to throw something up at the end. I would like to see us get in action a little faster. Brown! Didn't see him coming. Tatum secures the rebound. JT to the hole. Missed the shot. Brown! JB's got it here. I. Smith stays with him. Brown in the paint, rises up. Young kids, but then you look at what this team done and what the Celtics have been able to do and overachieve. Booker missed the three. Tatum the rebound. Fouled by Allen. Even with Tatum, back on the floor. JB still carrying him. Now behind an MVP-type performance from Jalen Brown. The Celtics hold off the Suns and sweep the season series. 120-112, 41-7-6 for JB.
