$500 AMD vs NVIDIA Gaming PC… Which Is Better?

I'm building two gaming PCs on a $500 budget. One of them with full AMD parts inside of it and the other one with all NVIDIA and Intel to see which one is the better option in 2026. All right so yeah guys I'm actually so excited for this video because it's going to be absolutely insane. I've already picked out all the parts for both PCs and they're actually so similar it's pretty crazy. I'm not doing brand new parts either because honestly if you're buying brand new parts for a PC build in 2026 you're genuinely just wasting your money. But anyways I'll just go over the Intel gaming PC first. For the CPU we're actually gonna go with the i5-10400F. This is a very solid CPU especially for around $70 used. I'm getting all the main parts from eBay because honestly like this one right here if we see the original listing this dude has 99.9% positive ratings and over 2,000 and there's nothing wrong with the CPU at all. And if we look at the Amazon listing it literally costs $145 right here and you can get it used for like 99 but still eBay obviously that's a lot better deal. 70 bucks for this thing absolute steal. For the RAM I was pretty surprised I was able to get two 8 gigabyte sticks for $16 at 3200 megahertz DDR4 and it's also a white kit and if I didn't mention it guys I'm gonna be doing a full white build for the Intel PC and then a full black build for the AMD one and it's gonna have like the same case fans and everything so it's gonna be a super fair comparison in like every aspect literally just besides the CPU GPU and stuff like that. So yeah this is what we're gonna be using for the Intel setup a nice white RAM right here and then going over to the actual graphics card this is where you guys are probably like how did you fit this into a $500 build? Honestly it was like slightly over $500 without tax but I've still it's right around $500 build so you guys can honestly do this yourself but literally I found an RTX 2070 for $160 like that is such a good deal and honestly it's a pretty general price like you can go on eBay right now and probably find one for that price if not cheaper. And already with just the 10400F and the RTX 2070 this thing is gonna be a solid build of course we also got it in white as well so it's gonna look insane. And then for the motherboard I just went with the B560M Bomber obviously LGA 1200 socket nothing special is going on with the motherboard here it's just pretty basic and budget we don't really need anything fancy if I'm being honest. For the storage of this build I actually got an SSD like SATA drive not an NVMe because NVMe's are stupid expensive now like hopefully they still aren't for you guys but as of right now it's like over $100 for like still like one terabyte and this is a lot cheaper just getting this and it's not that much of a difference at all. For both builds we're gonna have an SSD like this but yeah. Again since it's an all-white build we're gonna be going with the DB330M case right here this one is from DarkFlash you can see on Amazon you can get it for like $60 used so it's a very very good deal this case looks insane as well it comes with three ARGB fans. If you see the cooler right here this doesn't come with the case but I'm actually picking up the cooler as well as you can see right here it's from DarkFlash again it's a Z4 Pro Mist and honestly it says $25 right here but again you can literally just go to used and pick this thing up for like $22 right here so very solid and it also matches the aesthetic so why not. Now for the power supply I'm gonna be getting this 750 watt power supply and before you say it I know it's a lot of wides for what we're getting but honestly it could be great for upgradability but you definitely do not need 750 for this video honestly again DarkFlash sent it out for this video like huge shout out to them I've literally never had a problem with any of their products and I use them on my own build so they're honestly just a very good company and you can literally get it for $60 used right here which is really not bad at all like 500 watt one would probably cost like $45 $50 anyway so it's not much of a difference but we're gonna be using the same power supply on both builds as well. This right here is the Cheetah James recliner and it's easily one of the most comfortable upgrades in my setup. I literally use it for everything like gaming scrolling on my phone and even just relaxing. It also works in a living room too like obviously it's not just for gaming but it's super comfortable. The cushioning actually supports your back so you're not sinking or slouching after an hour and the design is clean and modern so it actually makes the entire setup look better and not super cluttered but honestly it gets even crazier because you get a 270 degree swivel smooth glide and adjustable recline so you can easily go from locked in to just relaxing instantly and plus the memory foam cushioning molds right to your body and there are also side pockets and USB-C charging so literally everything you need is on this chair and also personally it feels very compact and premium so it's a lot more usable than other recliners so if comfort is something that you prioritize in your setup or you just want a more comfortable chair the Cheetah James recliner is definitely worth checking out with the link down below. But now it's time for the AMD build which honestly like I don't know like which one is going to be better at this point it's legitimately that close that I'm going to just have to see after I build these PCs but for the CPU we're going with the Ryzen 5 3600 very very good CPU and again it's right around the same price like it's $65 for this one used and I think $69 for the i5-10400F so it's so close and if we look right here the performance of the two is legitimately like the exact same like you can see the numbers here it's like so close you can't really even say one's better than the other we're also getting the same exact RAM but in black for this build as well again 16 gigabytes to 8 gigabyte sticks at 3200 megahertz so very solid there it literally costs like the same exact amount as well which is pretty helpful but for the GPU we're actually picking up the RX 6600 XT this one right here is from XFX and I mean $170 and if we go back right here to the 2070 this one was 160 so GPU costs $10 more we can see that it's pretty much the exact same performance as well so I mean it shows that it edges out to AMD just a little bit here I mean obviously it's three years newer as well and honestly at the time when I bought the 2070 I couldn't find any deals on a 2070 super which could be more comparable but if we look right here you can see $170 like right here for 2070 super $179 $180 it's pretty much all around that range so you could get a 2070 super if you want that little bit extra performance and again comparing them right here it's honestly so close that you can't really say that one's better than the other one of them's newer maybe newer technology which could edge out but overall it's just very similar and then for the motherboard we're going with the ASRock B550M HTV AM4 motherboard obviously for AMD again it's nothing special it's a budget board we don't really need anything more than that it's going to work perfectly fine we're also getting the same type of SATA drive 2.5 inch internal SSD right here one terabyte as well we're also picking up the exact same black version of the case as well as a CPU cooler again you can get it used for a little bit cheaper as well but I mean overall the coolers are only 20 bucks so that's a very good deal they also have RGB so looks great as well again we're doing the same power supply for this build as well and yeah that's pretty much it again we can recap on the comparisons the CPU on Intel says it's only like three percent better which is literally nothing and then for the GPU it says AMD is only like 2.5 2.4 percent better so it's actually so close it's like I don't even know if there's going to be a difference in the builds maybe there will maybe there won't but that's the whole point of this video regardless though this is like one of the best $500 gaming PCs that you can build like whether it's AMD or Intel the specs that we're getting for the price especially buying them used is just such great deals and such great combos that these PCs are going to be very good if you guys are interested in building them on your own some of the parts for this build have already come in but I'm still waiting on a few others so I guess I'll just see you guys when they actually come in and we'll go from there well this is um everything that came in the mail this is so many boxes bro I'm gonna clear all this out so you guys can actually see what's inside of here and not just a bunch of boxes this is literally insane bro let's just do a little bit of uh there we go that's a lot better as you can see we got most of the parts out right here stuff like this and like this are the CPUs that's why they kind of look like that and yeah this guy made it very clear that this right here was the Ryzen 5 3600 so um W guy whoever he is it's kind of funny sometimes ordering off of eBay because this guy literally sent me that CPU inside of this cereal box so honestly I did not know what it was but apparently it's the CPU so at least he made it very clear I will say that but yeah like anyway as you can see like with the white Intel and then the black AMD like this build is gonna look so good both of them are gonna look really good I'm not really gonna go too in-depth on the builds at all maybe I'll just do like a cinematic build or something like that I honestly do not know yet all I know is that it won't be super detailed like my normal builds because obviously it's two PCs and that's just gonna be like a two hour long video if I do that so yeah let's just go ahead and get these two PCs actually built and I'll see you guys after that all right guys so I literally just finished building these PCs as you can see um I did not show it on camera obviously it'd just be way too long to build two PCs but honestly it's pretty simple I mean budget builds are pretty simple to put together so it wasn't too hard it only took about an hour and a half to build both of them but let's just go ahead and turn them on at the same exact time and see what we're working with see if they actually work yeah they definitely do and this looks absolutely insane bro the black and white theme really looks super cool like with the Nvidia and AMD like this is absolutely insane like also turn this one to green so it can match the theme better but I mean yeah like overall like the builds themselves they just look really good and clean I actually got to take off this plastic really quick let's do that super satisfying and then on the AMD nice but yeah I mean i5-10400F, an RTX 2070, 16 gigabytes of RAM, 3200 megahertz like this build is super solid and then again this build with the Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 6600 XT and then again 16 gigabytes of RAM they're both so solid and so close it's going to be absolutely insane I'm going to just stop yapping though we're going to see which one performs better in game I genuinely have no idea which one is going to win so it's going to be pretty interesting right before we get into it though these are my own mouse pads like as you can see there are a ton of designs and you guys have probably seen them before but I mean they're only 25 bucks as you can see there's a bunch of different color options and designs anything you guys can think of pretty much and yeah they're all so big they have great glide and then great stitching and everything so if you guys are interested in checking them out the link will be down below in the description but anyways let's focus on these PCs the Nvidia and Intel versus the AMD which one is actually going to be better let's find out all right guys so the very first PC we're going to be testing out is the Nvidia and Intel PC we're going to be on Fortnite and doing high settings first I'll take it into performance mode afterwards but yeah we're just going to go into a solo battle royale we're going to be using DLSS and putting it on balance for the Intel PC and then once we get to the AMD one we'll be using the TSR medium so basically like the same thing so yeah we're going to do that keep it on balance and then everything else is literally just on like high settings so yeah let's just get right into it also if anyone's watching this right now and wants to gift me the lizard I'd appreciate it bro I'd be using it in like every video I'm not gonna lie this is my username is just YouTube Fluxby just saying are we serious this is the pre-game lobby bro this is getting more FPS than a pre-built PC would um for the same price like on high settings versus performance mode that's crazy why is why is the FPS so high okay I knew these pieces were going to be good there's there's no way they're this good though we're just going to go in a general place by a tree I don't want to I kind of want to make it like comparable so on average I would say our FPS is about 180 I would say this is absolutely insane though I did not expect it to be this high let's do let's do a test without any DLSS on okay well I guess I'll let this guy kill me it was an AI probably could have got away but on both PCs I'm going to try to just find an area that's just like water like on the side of the map like this so for the FPS we're getting 200 200 FPS with high settings and the uh DLSS on balance 210 I would say honestly it's pretty fair let's turn off all the anti-aliasing though all right literally turn it all off everything is on high now without any DLSS on and okay hold on 3D resolution is really low put that back to normal and FPS looks like it drops to 150 which is still so good temperatures the GPU is getting a little bit warm as long as it's not over like 90 degrees celsius it's pretty safe um we are kind of pushing the limits though the RTX 2070 does require a lot of power and it probably is going to be hotter than the um RX 6600XT when we test it out later but 210 on DLSS high settings and then 150 145 on um no no DLSS so let's take it into performance mode and see how good it does this is already insane so I'm just like I'm actually just blown away by how good of a PC this is and we built it for like 550 dollars all right dropping down I'm really just trying to focus on stutters or anything but with literally 300 FPS right now we have zero stutters this is I'm gonna stop saying it I won't I won't keep blazing it but this is a really good PC why is all we have heavy shotguns what is going on oh my gosh bro just dropped right in on me oh lasered come on got him let's go dude my sensitivity is way too high though I'm gonna I'm gonna go down here and do like the same exact test how we did with the FPS with the high settings one obviously it's like the maximum FPS we can get in the game it's not like the average in-game FPS but just to get a baseline I would say that 350 is pretty good baseline obviously if we look over here towards everything it'd be like more like 300 but with both tests we're just gonna be like at the edge of the map looking out so we can have the same performance so yeah 355 honestly 360 that was the most we got but probably around 350 oh gosh we got a dude right here on us bro he doesn't want the smoke 48 oh we don't oh what the heck bro I can't even speak anymore this is literally AI but he's going all over the place so I don't know what's bro okay bro got mad that I called him AI hit me for 150 third party oh I feel so bad I probably killed the wrong person though because I know that this dude is really good okay yeah I just came for like 50,000 damage oh another third party wait no only I'm allowed to do that get me out of here oh shoot okay these guys have good aim oh my gosh he's still on me bro how is he hitting me oh it wasn't him that would actually make more sense now oh my gosh I'm getting lasered from across the map now these guys are too good dude there's too many people I've legitimately not fought one person at a time whoa what the heck that was like my internet lag or something oh my gosh there's another person guys I mean might be cooked I'm not even gonna lie oh come on oh come on all right who cares why not oh what the heck got him all right I do not want to use the heavy shotgun again oh my god a golden spaz wait yes perfect I'm legitimately rushing everyone if I die I just suck I'm a golden spaz what are we saying right now oh we switched spots dang okay I have no shield though come on please I'm legitimately trapping him in the zone a little bit oh my gosh we're lasering him oh come on okay we got him let's go dude that's so clutch this guy was actually pretty decent there's someone trying to rob my house right now dude well he robbed my house successfully I guess we could say that overall fortnite it performed extremely well on the intel and nvidia pc we're going to be testing out on the amd one a little bit later let's just go ahead and take it to the next game and see how well it does in that all right we're in black ops 7 now for the actual graphics settings not upscaling we're literally just going to put it to balance like this so that should that should keep everything the exact same on both pcs so yeah let's load into a little multiplayer and see what we can get here all right looks like we just joined in like the middle of the game almost but fps all right this is yeah this is a good this is a good pc all right looks like we kind of just load into a match that's already going on but it looks like our fps will do it we'll do it the same if we remember just just in the spawn um 175 170 to 180 fps on high settings with some balanced upscaling so not bad this is a cool little gun here I don't know who this is but there you got a cool gun and I just killed him with it let's go oh my gosh there's so many there's so many got another one oh come on he's 1 hp let's go oh my gosh dude they're actually everywhere guys if you're looking for a build around 600 bucks literally just copy this build this is insane I'm actually so curious to see what the amd pc does though I guess we'll find out later in the video but it's gonna be really close I think get out of here right in the head too another one nice up let's get this guy sniper maybe we'll get some good action with it oh my gosh I'm so good bro definitely not a hard scope we don't talk about that right there though all right that's game honestly I didn't really want too long of a gameplay because we are having gameplays on two pcs but easy dubs I mean around like 165 175 fps in this game not bad whatsoever especially on high settings like really really solid but yeah not bad at all I mean we were on what like balanced settings with some dlss so I mean 170 fps on average ish is not bad so let's go ahead and go to the last game we're going to be testing on this pc though all right so we're in marvel rivals just gonna do the same exact thing literally just put it to high and then dlss and then on balance we'll put frame generation on the amd one again though just so that's like equal throughout both pcs all right loading in we're getting like 130 which is like really good actually it's dropping a little bit a lot of action going on now and it looks like it's like right below 100 I don't know what is happening this dude is absolutely destroying me oh come on no bro I actually suck at this game ignore that with no fights and everything I mean it's really good like 130 and then obviously going into the map and fighting people it's around like probably 80 to 90 which still isn't bad at all but high settings on like a pc for like 550 dollars is insane marvel rivals is honestly kind of hard to run these guys are just so much better than me though I literally have never played this game before I'm gonna get a kill though please please wait he's one hp got him let's go we got a kill oh my gosh wow whoever that dude is pretty powerful oh my gosh we got hulk over here come on there we go nice oh my god please okay let's go let's not go what just happened what in the world is that bro this is crazy I don't even know what this does but I'm about to use it oh my gosh this is insane oh my gosh oh please dude all right I actually just actually just suck I can't say anything else I don't know any of the abilities of any of these people so like it's like strategically I can't do anything honestly this gameplay is so bad I'm not even gonna keep trying to play anymore but like you guys can see the performance like it's probably around 80 to 100 like on average as you can see like now it's a lot higher because we're just in an alley but like actually fighting and stuff going around people like it's around 80 fps so let's take yeah we just died again but let's go ahead and go on the amd pc and see if it's any better or any worse because I genuinely don't know all right guys we are on the amd pc right now and I'm gonna kind of try to go in like the same spot this isn't the same map but going towards the water and looking out we'll see what fps we can get again it's all high settings and the dlss is on basic or like medium or whatever these right here are these specific settings as you can see they are like the exact same as the other ones they are the same as the other ones um and they're literally let's see the other the other pc we were getting like 210 like 10 fps and this one looks like we're actually getting like 30 fps less which is kind of surprising the amd card is a lot better for like power efficiency and like temperature like obviously as we can tell it's also it's also a lot newer like the 2070 is a pretty old card it requires a lot of power um but it actually was performing better in the high tests i guess we'll put it to um uh no dlss and see what we get just turn all of this off like that and then see we get put this back up to 100 though looks like we're getting about 150 we're getting literally the like exact same fps as we got on the nvidia and intel pc on no like tsr setting which is which is interesting because it literally got more um with the tsr on put it back to medium and yeah still not even as high as we were so that's interesting it looks like the tsr worked better on the nvidia and intel pc but we'll go ahead and go to performance mode and see the difference there we'll see if there is any or not all right on performance mode right now we actually have the same map as we did on the nvidia test which is helpful we'll see we were able to get 350 standing right where i'm about to go on the nvidia pc we'll see what we get on performance mode on this one all right literally a hundred less dude i actually don't understand it actually it's not 100 less it's about it's about like 80 less this is so interesting because it literally says that the amd cpu like literally performs better so and then also that the amd gpu is better so it's actually like a lot better now i think it was just loading in so it's really not that far off it's about 40 fps off but it's really going all over the place actually i can't even just say that the other one the other one was like consistently at 350 the other one was consistently at 350 we were also we were also averaging 270 like while actually in gaming fighting people and right now you can see it's a lot lower than that it's literally like 150 oh my god people everywhere dude come on let's go dude why is there so many people coming down right here i'm actually getting quite a few stutters dude why is like the nvidia one so much better this is this is a cpu based game right now especially with performance mode and the cpu on the amd pc is supposedly better but i guess the i5 10400f might be like newer so actually i don't even i don't even think that's true so never mind it's really not that much of a difference oh my god get out of here dude i literally landed right on top of this person dude let's get him got him right in the noggin apologize not really though oh dude one like not even close to be honest at least in fortnite but let's take them to the next game and see if it's anywhere close on the other games fps is literally like 40 fps higher on this like with the amd pc so i don't know like it's wow i'm just too good oh my gosh we're actually crazy another one oh my gosh okay where am i getting shot at from i don't know but for a we did do high settings um which i really don't understand um but the amd pc is literally like so much higher we literally suck so bad oh my gosh for black ops high settings the amd pc is like substantially better but for fortnite the intel and nvidia pc is substantially better it makes no sense got him got him where am i getting shot from now bro what i never i literally never know this is super smooth though like either pc it's not like that big of a difference wait can i oh my god no way i just melee killed him let's try using one of their guns for a second there's smoke i really don't know where they're at i think my team's actually good yeah we're winning like usually that does not happen oh my gosh what a kill i say that i literally say that to every kill i don't know why but like these quicksilver kind of dirty got him oh no way dude whoever that sniper is right there i just picked it up off the ground it's actually pretty good i gotta get my own class instead of just using the default this came out with sick right here though i will say that these guys have them these guys have some pretty sick guns okay wait i just got oh my god imagine killing someone with their own class it's actually like pretty disrespectful got him wait actually i want this yep this one looks cooler i also want to point out the gpu and cpu temperatures i'm not sure exactly on the cpu temperatures on the nvidia and intel one but the amd one the gpu temperature is substantially lower and it's a lot more fps than black ops 7 so that's a really big deal oh my gosh that scared me so bad oh hello oh my goodness this guy didn't even know i have no ammo this is a pretty stupid idea let's just get rid of them i need your gun though there we go oh great great i did all that for enough yeah i mean honestly i'm surprised i did not know what to expect but i did not expect one of them to be way better in certain games than the other i don't really know maybe it's something with the upscaling but let's just take it into the last game and see what we can do um it's really like the tiebreaker to be honest all right guys these same exact settings i'll just show you guys again we got the quality fsr3 and then frame generation on as well and literally just high settings exactly the same and on the other one we were getting 80 fps and this one it is about 80 fps as well when fighting on the other one we did obviously get more if we like looked at the wall or something just like this one but fps seems to be like pretty much identical this one um looks like it's a little bit more actually okay i'm dead but got him let's go oh my god this guy's so annoying actually yeah this is actually about five fps higher really no difference at all dude actually no i would say it's a it's it's averaging a little bit higher for sure oh hello okay why are we shooting at me why is it me that we're shooting at as we know i absolutely suck at this game though this is strictly for performance got him let's go let's go oh my gosh what the heck i really gotta get i really gotta get better at this game guys i know i saw comments wanting me to test it bro what is even going on right now what is that what even is that thing i'm about to use my ult and these guys are going down i hope oh yeah come on oh get out of here oh my gosh wait why can't i probably still not even win that was crazy that was like five kills back to back i genuinely think i have one of the worst people to use i'm just using it because it has a gun and i can sometimes get kills because i don't know any specialties to anyone where are you going bro this is this is an op stuff got him let's go that dude's like going everywhere let's try to get one more kill and think we're gonna call let's try to get one more kill right here come on please easy it was easy until that happened oh we got our old it's actually over wait it's over for these guys dude this is so op and now i'm dead just like that it was worth it i say it was worth a good way to end off bro honestly i don't know what i'm doing this game i got like eight kills that's not too bad but oh come on please dude that's game i guess that's game or something yeah all right well i mean that was definitely not what i expected um i mean it kind of was because it was so close but at the same time i don't know what was going on with fortnite all right well yeah guys there you have it there is the nvidia versus the amd pc or i mean technically it also can be intel versus amd in fortnite the only thing i can really think of is that um i'm pretty sure the i5 10400f is actually stronger than the ryzen 5 3600 which is why we were getting about 50 to 60 more fps i will say i will say honestly the 2070 ran really hot like around 90 degrees celsius which is not good it's not bad but it's definitely like on the edge you don't want any more than that the amd pc was a lot more power efficient temperature efficient and just everything like that and fortnite was literally the only game that it did worse in and it wasn't by that much performance mode it kind of was but it really wasn't too bad and yeah also you could buy a 2070 super for around ten dollars more and probably get very close to the same exact fps as the amd pc and um black ops 7 and um obviously marvel rivals reminder to check out the cheetah james recliner that thing is so comfortable and
