Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
It's Samia.
If you didn't know, I'm 11 years old,
which is kind of a weird age.
You're not a little kid anymore,
but you're not a teenager quite yet.
Things only 11 year olds understand.
Let's get into this video.
Our parents always think they know what's right for us
and what's cool for us,
but they're not even cool for their own age.
They think they know everything.
Like, let us do what we want to do.
Like, we know what we want and we know what's cool for us.
You're not even cool to your own friends.
Bruh.
I do not know why,
but when I find a song that I love,
I play it a hundred times a day.
Promise.
Literally yesterday, I found a song that I love
and I kept playing it.
Even my parents, especially my dad,
was like, not that song again.
This never used to happen at any other age.
This just started to happen when I turned 11.
Sweens, can you relate?
I'm at the age where teachers are saying,
you're the big kid now.
You influence the youngers.
Show them how to act right.
So we expect maturity.
Like, what?
We're still kids.
That's rage bait.
Being in grade five has a lot of responsibilities,
especially since we're the oldest of the school.
Now, all of a sudden,
I'm a role model for all these kindergartners.
It feels like I was just in kindergarten.
I don't know.
Being a Sween, especially 11 years old,
has a lot of responsibilities,
but it feels like I'm still a kid.
You see, this is the thing.
When you're a teenager
and you wanna do teenage stuff,
like go to parties,
they're always like, no, you're too young.
But then when you're a Tween, they say,
you're an example.
Set an example.
Like, what?
When am I gonna be old enough to do this then?
When you're old enough to do your own chores,
but not old enough to have your own freedom.
Parents be like,
you're old enough to do your own laundry
and do your dishes.
But then when I ask,
oh, can I go to the gas station?
They're like, no, you're not old enough.
Huh?
Am I old enough or not, people?
Here's another relatable fact
that 11-year-olds understand.
When your phone is at 1%,
it's the biggest emergency.
Like, you have to spree to your charger.
Like, life is over if your phone dies.
But then when you're younger,
your phone dies, your iPad dies,
it doesn't matter.
You go play games,
you play with toys,
and you wait patiently.
Do you guys ever find yourself
trying to act cool in front of older kids?
Like, you be fixing up your hair,
your makeup,
and you just be acting like you're all that
when we know dang well,
we're not all that.
I find myself that I can fit in any age group,
like, don't matter what it is.
Like...
All of a sudden, fashion is key.
You wanna know how to fit in with everyone,
but also express your fashion.
Like, you just wanna know how to fit in and be you.
All of a sudden,
I would never, ever allow my parents
to choose my outfits.
Let me know, tweens,
if you can relate to this.
All of a sudden, privacy is key.
I love my privacy.
I lock my door,
I close my door,
I stay quiet for hours,
I don't come downstairs,
and I know my parents don't like it,
but I don't care.
I love privacy,
and I love having time with myself
without any interruptions.
Let me know if you also close your room door,
or even lock it.
To all my tweens,
let me know if you guys can relate to this,
and which one is the most relatable.
