The Peace That the World Does Not Give (Sermon in Costa Rica)

Holy Mighty One give a round of applause for Jesus Christ King of Kings Lord of Lords who deserves all the glory all the honor He is the center of attention He is the primordial He is the greatest of all times past present and future is the one who holds dominion over all things My name is Raymond Ayala a human just like you A servant of the Lord grateful for all that the Master has done And I want all of you to shout for joy to the heavens Costa Rica Casa Pasión we are the chosen ones we are in God's Temple thanks to Pastor William Magaña and his entire congregation Casa Pasión give a big round of applause my lovely people from Costa Rica The musicians whom we often don't greet well that's my main ministry so I'm greeting the band—how lovely And thank you to the entire country of Costa Rica because I have such lovely memories of this beautiful nation of its people of the paradise that they are And a saying I absolutely love one that's been so contagious Pura Vida how beautiful that how beautiful that saying Without a doubt it's a country—please have a seat—a country whose beauty is incredible when you arrive but it strongly reminds me of my homeland Puerto Rico from where I come What makes a country truly special is the quality of its people That's why the quality of the Costa Rican shines through It's a pleasure to be here with you thank you for treating us like family Thank you for being such wonderful hosts thank you for setting such a beautiful example of the mandate you give to the entire world because Costa Rica enjoys that great reputatio Being an incredibly friendly country and as someone who has visited many times I can personally attest and confirm that the people truly are as lovely as they seem So may God always bless Costa Rica 100% With me are my mentors Pastor Kenneth Díaz and the evangelists Antonio Parrilla and Rafael Bermúdez who saw me here They are the people who took charge of guiding me step by step within my life and within the Gospel I have to say I have fond memories of Costa Rica but without a doubt I understand they're about to begin the best ones because now I come to talk about the Master I can tell you that among all the opportunities I've had to share my testimony the Lord spoke a word this time o share it with the whole world and many people will wonder What does Raymond Ayala do In the world I'm known as Daddy Yankee What does Raymond Ayala do He talks about Jesus And I’m going to take you to one of the reasons today—the reason why I have the best ally in my life I can tell you why and I want you to go with me to the Word of God and I want you to look up John 14:27 Look up John 14:27 and when you find it say Amen Do you have it Say Amen please Amen The words are spoken in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit Peace I leave with you my peace I give you I give it to you just as the world gives it Let not your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid How lovely You know why I'm here Because the world offered me many things but it never managed to give me the peace I was searching for We're taught from a very young age and I believe many people can relate to me—those of us who started from nothing from poverty Coming from neither a wealthy family nor being entirely from the neighborhood we have very normal very real dreams at in reality when one achieves the greatest success one will be extremely happy And I want to tell you that this is far from the truth I want to tell you that if progress is good Of course discipline is good pushing forward is good but it's not good when Jesus isn't in the equation When Jesus isn't in those plans believe me you can circle the globe and still end up with everything you've never had and dreamed of And you'll always feel like something's missing And that thing is called Jesus And I want you to go with me to these two scenes with the same peace Brother Bermúdez was talking about this And I want you to imagine these two scenes I'll start with the first one I imagine myself thinking that the disciples still remembered that scene—the night the violent wind The waves crashing into the boat the fear screaming louder than faith and Jesus asleep Calm down Jesus They thought if he were awake this wouldn' t have happened but Jesus was awake within because his light and peace did not depend on the weather but his peace depended on the Father When Jesus rose he did not seek peace He imparted it to her He said "Be still and become silent " and the sea obeyed The disciples never forgot that That supernatural power they spoke of—wow this man silenced the storm with a single word and I believe we all focus on that and it's real as human beings that this supernatural aspect affects us but often we overlook the greater lesson Yes Jesus had peace even before the storm ended That is right in the midst of the storm he was at peace And now I want you to imagine another scene There is no wind no waves no rain but there is something far worse The disciples' hearts are in a storm Jesus has just told them one of you is going to betray me He also said to them I am going He also said to them "Where am I going " You can't come There is no raging sea but there is fear confusion and pain I imagine Peter restless John silent withdrawn The faces are tense and at that very moment when things are not going well is when the master of masters say a few words that were revealed to my life in the midst of the storm which I identify with and said "Peace I leave with you my peace I give you " I do not give it as the world gives do not let your heart be troubled nor let it fear How powerful it is to know that in the midst of a storm and in the midst of any circumstance no matter what is happening Today you can have complete peace in Jesus Christ That is the power and that is what I longed for so deeply yet this is what happens—I still haven't found peace peace of mind always thinking about something always eager to do something seeking more keeping growing that's fine but we keep coming back f it's not in divine order something will go wrong and that is because it must be connected to the Father so that everything burns in proper sequence because the blessings God gives do not bring sorrow with them God will make sure to bring you the right blessings and you will rest in fullness with Him And that is the deep connection— I imagine Jesus saying something without speaking like when they remember the storm on the boat elling them how I imagine you remember how I rested when you all panicked you remember just as my peace calmed the sea Or rather when I reflect on it I truly say that there is nothing greater than Jesus because I say so I have the power to calm the external storm meaning Jesus has the power to calm your circumstances Whatever you're going through right now if He chooses He can stop it all instantly—He holds the power to halt any circumstance whatever you' re going through He is equally powerful able to calm the inner storm meaning He has the power to stop The battle you're fighting in your heart is proof of how mighty the Lord is and how beautifully He works with His children He ensures that your circumstances at times He allows at times according to His will He permits Let the circumstances around us shape us because He never wants harm for us if He allows something It's because there's a purpose behind it—don't forget that— when you're in complete obedience and something happens to you The trials arise from the throne of God because You have something for me to reflect on something that God desires to change within me What God is asking me to change is not to look for guilty parties not to look at anyone at all but simply that you want me to change and He has the power to change circumstances but what matters most to the Lord is working through the storm of your heart for it is there that He guarantees you 100% that things will change that's exactly where He excels because He knows tha He handles circumstances easily but the heart of man is what is difficult our heart and that storm no matter what is happening He can give you peace the moment you receive your heart that is the guarantee He gives you and that is the assurance I was seeking—what guarantee does the Lord give me because I could have everything anyone could ever dream of but there was something truly otherworldly that I could never have and it was the peace of Jesus Christ Give a clap to Jesus King of kings and Lord of lords who alone deserves all glory and all honor and the reason Jesus spoke these words in John 14:27 is powerful because Jesus did not say these words after the resurrection ot even when everything was settled no He said them before the cross knowing He was about to suffer He told them knowing they would abandon Him knowing darkness was coming meaning Jesus spoke from a place of solitude Proven peace not theoretical—many of us know this peace because we've experienced it amidst the storm that peace which surpasses all understanding at peace which surpasses all understanding here among the Kingdom I don't know if you like me have endured so many storms and at times People tell us how you can be so calm And I say I don't know I only know that the Bible says we have a peace that surpasses all understanding or rather that person is seeing something differe you something you're searching for a solution perhaps answer to your own problems tells you you're going through a storm and you you are at peace and I suffer but I have peace and I know that peace e world does not give it I know it is given by the Holy Spirit of Jesus the Holy Spirit is the one who guarantees it and gives us Promise that in the midst of the circumstance you may rest for in the midst of the boat with you is Jesus and Jesus has given us a classroom when we are in the midst of the storm the best thing is to rest and trust in the Father who has control over everything gs amen So I don't know what you're going through today if you're in the middle of a storm and you're seeking solutions a guarantee a promise of peace I can tell you I can testify and I can give you my testimony that what works for me I guarantee will work for you It's going to work for you The beauty is that Jesus doesn 't promise a peace that avoids the cross but a peace that sustains us as the cross comes we sometimes have to face our fears whether we wish to escape them or flee from them If the Perfect Being the Just of the Just The Prince of Peace the Center of the Universe The Admiral the Counselor hear if He endured the greatest trial on Earth then it will be our turn and every human being's to face it go through a greater trial in this life It is going to be our lot But you know how beautiful it is to know that you have someone who calmly tells you I'll give you the peace this world won't give you when you need The storm will come Rest Rest in me Give me your burdens your trials and your worries for I will carry them I'm going to guarantee your mind will find rest and your heart will be at peace And I speak of the mind because perhaps there are many people who are silently at war ere and they don't dare to communicate them And I'm telling you I understand you completely because I've been sitting right here and fighting my battles in silence not sharing them with anyone searching for someone who might understand me and when no one could Only one being could truly understand me Only one ever truly understood me Vine to her feet oraba buscaba because prayer is the most effective tool that human beings have for hyperventilating and releasing all their burdens and all their concerns And you will pray and you will share your troubles with a being who will not judge you a being who understands you a being at will make you loyal and a being who will heal you That is Jesus I like it because the context of Jesus' words He speaks hours before being arrested His disciples are confused He knows the cross is coming and in the midst of that scene Jesus I won't give you explanations I promise you something more powerful Because sometimes we want answers and other times only God tells you something greater Powerful Relax Peace be with you And Jesus does not offer peace when everything is going well What is powerful is that He offers it when everything seems to be falling apart He arrives at the exact moment to bring us what we are seeking He said "Peace I leave with you " Let us speak of a peace that endures Jesus speaks as one who leaves a legacy It is not temporary it is permanent The world offers peace as a feeling Jesus offers peace as a promise a certainty and a guarantee And this peace does not depend on the diagnosis It doesn't depend on money It doesn't depend on people Nor does it depend on the outcome This is a peace that endures forever from eternity I give you my peace And it is a peace that comes with identity Why Because Jesus does not give a peace I give you a peace I'm not giving you peace He intentionally emphasizes my peace That is the same peace with which he slept through the storm The same peace with which He walked toward the cross The same peace with which He endured rejection And the same peace with which He fully entrusted Himself to the Father That is why it is not a human peace but a divine peace that comes from the Father eaven from the throne of the Father from eternity The peace that sustained Jesus is the peace He places in your heart today If you decides to give it to him If you choose to give your heart to Jesus one of His promises is to give you peace Give you peace And that was exactly what Raymond Ayala had been looking for I was uneasy didn't know what was going on I just wanted to keep working I wanted to stay angry and keep to myself But there was anxiety that wouldn't let go And I said I have to find a solution And since I knew To the Lord at the age of 19 If you're young and here seeking the Lord I congratulate you You're in the right place young person You are in the right place Do not let the world 's lies deceive you If you are seeking Christ you are in the right place Don't do as I did straying from the path Don't do it Keep walking with Christ Stay firm And in those struggles And in that search is when I said Lord I knew you I don't know if you're familiar with the story of Nebuchadnezzar There came a time when he regained his sanity Just like the prodigal son Pride led him astray from the path And at that moment when I was filled with my darkest thoughts—intrusive thoughts thoughts of betrayal It's that God reveals Himself to my mind and my heart Remember when you and I spent time together The peace you had Remember how happy you were when you served me Remember the freedom you felt And there I just said wow Let me go back to my father 's house He's waiting for me with open arms there That is the power of serving Christ Amen And this is the part that moves me deeply Because it says I give you peace not as the world gives it That is the great contrast Because the world Take peace when everything is resolved Take peace when there are no problems Peace comes when you are in control of everything And for those people on my team who are structured disciplined and always need to be in control watch out Because discipline is excellent but when we overdo it we want everything to go exactly as we want and we want to see the results right away There's a fine line between striving through discipline and being overly eager There is a fine line between wisdom and pride You must be careful with those lines for discipline may lead us to become overly anxious while wisdom grants us peace The Father's wisdom is so profound that afterward we don't want to listen to anyone else So we must be maintain a good balance That's exactly what I'm talking about God has control over everything I'm telling you this by sharing my experience— there are things that will slip out of our hands what we want to control and what we truly wish would come true But the Father sometimes does not allow things for the no of God is as essential as the yes of God God's no saves you God's no protects you The no of God sometimes helps you work on yourself And sometimes we pray hoping that God will work for us rather than us being God's servants But that does not displease God because God understands our humanity That is why He allows you to continue praying and getting to know Him because He will always want to improve you as a person That's all And that you walk under the teachings of the Word Jesus says have peace even if you don 't understand Have peace even if it hurts Have peace even if you can't see the way out The peace of the world anesthesia But the peace of Jesus strengthens heals the heart and soothes the soul I love that He says "Do not let your heart be troubled because that is the place where the great battle is fought The great battle is fought right there in the heart which is why He is emphatic and says " Let not your heart be troubled " Jesús points to the heart because that is where fear makes noise Fear disturbs accelerates confuses and paralyzes But peace Christ commands The peace of God affirms The peace of Christ sustains And the peace of Christ gives you rest In the world we live in which is so fast -paced with everything we have everything so quickly now We see the phone everything happens in seconds we order instantly Food comes to us quickly everything is within reach we've adapted to this way of life and when we pray we believe God is viral We believe that God works the same way at the networks and we believe that God is always acting according to our will and God as all God The patient works from something vastly different from us He works from eternity That is He exists outside of time and the space That is what you're going through right now he's already been through it He has already passed through there he has already seen the end and if you are in Christ the end is victory Celebrate and applaud yourself because the end is one of victory The end is one of victory No matter the storm or the circumstances you're going through the end is victory—He already went through it before you us We simply have to erpret the story he already created live it because he already said calm down no one within me has ever lost a battle no one The children of God are unstoppable don't forget that — don't forget it — if you're in Christ you 're unstoppable I love saying tha because we are compassionate merciful but we have the strength of character There is no one in the Bible who hasn' t risen who hasn't had the strength of character and the most beautiful part is that they thought they didn't have it e vast majority so that God sees your potential before you even see it yourself and He knows you can be counted on and He knows the abilities He has given you You must believe in yourself one hundred percent because if Christ already believed in you it's up to you to believe in yourself I like it because peace doesn't eliminate the storm but if you prevent the storm from ruling you from within I'll repeat it: sometimes peace doesn't eliminate the storm the circumstances but if you keep the storm from ruling you from within then you'll be free no matter what circumstances you're going through you have the solutio and the decision to feel completely at peace says another thing—do not be afraid for that is a decision of faith Jesus does not say you will not feel fear He says don't be afraid because fear knocks at the door but you decide whether to open it fear is just an emotion Peace is a decision based on faith and the applicatio for today perhaps today your home may not be at peace maybe your mind isn't at peace perhaps your circumstances don 't allow you to be at peace but Jesus I promise you peace but I promise you something greater—the peace that surpasses all understanding and maybe you're wondering how I get visits like this—well that comes from a decision to let Jesus come into your life because once Jesus enters He enters your life He marks you with something supernatural that people don't understand nor does the natural man understand He will mark you with the Holy Spirit and those of us who have experienced the power of the Holy Spirit know how it works in a supernatural way when that ally enters you I guarantee you I don't know about the others but from my perspective living as I do I've weathered storms and now live amidst them I'm going to guarantee to you that ally It will bring you a peace that people won 't understand but you will be fully convinced of who your ally is and they will keep you in complete peace and complete calm I don't know how many from Kingdom here have gone through those storms and experienced them—raise your hand those from Kingdom so beautiful What we've been through is those storms and people ask you about it but guys like you can stay so calm or maybe you're just naturally serene and one praying calmly suffering wounded injured with sorrow but there is something that tells you keep going there is something that tells you to continue There's something telling you not to give up There's something telling you to keep going that I'm with you There's something telling you I'm shaping you There's something telling you I'm working on you with you so that you release into your heart the things I want you to release and you begin to understand that circumstances happen because God wants to keep working with you and in your life and in your heart —that is all—he wants to keep perfecting us That is God's end—until our very last breath He will continue working with us because the work He began He will complete In Christ Jesus that is always the case It is a peace to keep walking a peace not to give up a peace to trust in the Father at all times the peace of Christ does not mean the absence of problems it means The presence of God isn't that the sea always calms down but that you know Jesus is with you in the boat at all times And when He is present the heart can rest even as the waves continue to crash or even if fierce hardship surrounds you and encircles your life The storm and the waves may beating against you but Jesus is with you—He is in your boat so rest in peace for that is the guarantee and that is what transformed my life—the love and peace of Jesus —this is what I come to testify: there is a peace that surpasses Everything the world could never offer me everything I could have dreamed of as a child pales in comparison to the greatest place in the world which is When I am praying and communing with my Father what I feel—there is nothing in the world that is worth more than that—I can tell you this truthfully I will speak publicly there is no place where I feel better than having a conversation with my Father there is none I can talk with my friends they are my people I can be in service I can be with you here sharing but when I leave and I meet with Him and am alone with Him It is the most beautiful place that exists in the world so I want you to go with this the peace of Jesus does not change circumstances it changes the heart that faces them the peace of Christ It is not explained it is received and this is powerful where Jesus reigns peace prevails and fear loses its power where Jesus reigns fear loses its power the peace of Jesus prevails
