We're not really testing out Laxton Superb.
Not quite ready yet. I don't know how you're going to weave that into something.
This is part of a show that's going to start on the 24th of November at the Goldmark Gallery
and I've been collecting all these pots that you see around me for
three years now and I've picked the best of the best.
Even though you like them all in some respects, you do have favourites.
This is one of mine that's slightly understated but has some lovely colours in it.
My fourth show at Goldmark Gallery.
I do love making glazes out of natural materials.
I want to get the best out of the things that surround me
and I just love playing with those and getting the best out of them.
And I unfortunately or fortunately have 42 glaze buckets,
which is far too many, and about six slips to work from.
So there's always a big variety of glazing in my work.
Form for me is the most important aspect.
In fact, if you think about it, whether you're a writer, a musician, a sculptor,
it's form.
The form of the words, the way the sentence is constructed,
the form, the way the notes are constructed.
Form is essentially all we know.
So it's through form that we express our vitality.
Well, I'm already 75 so I've been potting for a while
because you've been doing it a long time.
You probably learn more of the subtleties of what's going on
with King Blackberry's.
This represents probably, I would say, the best group of pots
that I've produced so far, hopefully.
But I really need for you to make your own minds up about that.
I'm not going to say any more.
