Round wheels are so 2024, we don't need them anymore because it's all about square wheels.
After watching Whistling Diesel use a quad bike with triangle-shaped wheels,
I decided to get out the drill, cut some holes in the wood, cut a square shape out.
We've then got ourselves two square wheels. I then switched the forks on my jump bike,
took off the brakes, and now we're left with that, the square-wheeled mountain bike.
We just made it into the woods and the square wheels are about to fly down this hill.
Are you ready for it? Dropping.
Look at that dangerous thing, just spinning. We need steeper, that slope.
This one, it's soft, super loamy, and steep. It's going to happen. Ready?
Square wheels, downhill, no brakes. Free ride.
Yes, it's firing. Free ride with the square wheels. I actually can't believe that worked.
That's ridiculous. Let's go octagon wheels. It's still kind of squarish. There, there,
there. Oh, my God. Back to HQ. Sick. We've come to the first octagonic spot,
which just happens to be outside somewhere called the octagon. Yes. That was such a good sound.
Steep doomer, octagon wheels. Let's do it. You got to get down there, make sure no one's coming.
Here we go. Octagon stair set of doom. That was so scary. Wow, that was unbelievably octagonic.
My brain hurt. Let's go and find some more octagonic features. We've come to a classic,
the ultimate stair set of doom, but it's perfect for it's big, not too scary. Well,
it's going to be scary of these on, isn't it? It's actually really long and stupid. It's going to be
so fast into fast oncoming traffic. Here we go. Octagon wheels. Whoa. Okay. That was fun,
but I don't think shaped wheels are going to be taking off anytime soon. The whole reason this
video came about is because we drove all the way to this spot here, expecting to find other spots
afterwards. Unfortunately, we didn't, but we did get one clip there. Look, up there, wall,
down to flat. Let's see if it's going to work. It's quite scary just straight into that.
That is so big, isn't it? I was up there then like, oh no, I'm miles up.
The Rick O'Shea through the body. Okay. In this instance, maybe less speed is my friend.
Oh my God. That is so insane. Ah, clean. Stopped dead out of that. That's so cool.
That was a pretty hectic line. On the drive back home after realizing all the other spots
wouldn't work, we were a bit deflated. That's when Louis came up with the square wheels idea.
We've got the original wheels back on. I've decided to keep the brake off and do a bit
of streety maneuvers for a bit. Let's just start in the bowl and do barman,
like bar spin manuals without brakes feel the best thing on earth. Let's just start over there.
While I'm warm, let's try a few tuck to manuals. They always feel pretty sick.
Here we go. Boom. That feels good. I'm tucking in a weird way. I'm not really
hopping. I'm just letting the bike fall into the lap. Here's a little jibber, bar up,
bar air, bar down. Street. There we go. Nice few little warmups about the brake. Let's get
into the actual streets and see what else we can do. We've come to this spot. There was some way
we wanted to ride over there, but it was all wet and the benches were slidey. Here, up,
manny brakeless, bar off, loop out. Yes, street. Let's put the brake back on,
go and do some more stuff. It's like a weird mix of it's going to rain and it's also going to be
the sickest, sunniest Hawaiian day on earth. Let's get this brake fitted. We got tipped off about
a spot in town I've never been to actually. It's quite cool. We got double, double, double
brakes fitted. Let's just give it a little lap through. It looks a bit strange for the speed.
We're going to make it happen. Let's go. A little cruising, pop that.
Wow, sick. That's quite enjoyable. A bit of work for the last one there,
but this one's definitely got potential. Let's give it a flip. Here we go.
Well, good. Gap that. Not the best to trick and then try and carry on,
but if we just session that jump on its own, let me do an old school one. Backflip one for
that. That was a pretty sick spot actually. Nice little
random stop off. That's about as extreme as I'll be able to get on there. It's time to move on
already. We decided to come to Twisted Oaks, finish off the excitement. They've got a new
section here. You can roll there and then you get one, two, and three jumps in a row, two tables and
a double. I'm going to quickly, just quickly see if this little hover thing's going to work.
This is a self-flying drone. I think I'm going to be too fast, but could you imagine it just
self-flying-ishly follows me down there? Easy. Come on then, mate. Here we go then.
So far it's following. No way, it kind of worked. Almost. I was too sendy for it.
All right, that was just a fun little test of that thing. I think the elevation drops off
a bit too quickly there, doesn't it? I didn't know what to do. Trapping. It's a bit easy to
overshoot actually. I need to try and slow down a bit. When we hit the other lip,
it might be a touch slower because everyone rides that left one. In again,
this fun little section. Wow, I was almost missing where I was going then because I
thought I was supposed to be going into the left lip, but it was the last second sort of thing.
Let's do that again. Let's get a three tuck on here and then flip turny on that one.
Yo, that's sick. Let's get the slomes on the three tuck and the flip turny.
I was going to money it. No, I wasn't going to money it at all, ever in fact. I was going to
montage it, but now you've already seen that run. Let's just put classical but ramps. It's like,
I'm going to try and flip that little thing I'm using as a lip. It's kind of like a raised
sideways-y takeoff. The other one's too flat, but that one could be flipped a bit buzzed,
sort of buzzed a bit. I might be able to three whip and I might be able to flip Superman or
bar or something. That's all just hypothetical really, if that flip works. Let's. That was
insane. That's a funny flip actually. It's such a weird takeoff for it. I think it will work.
I'll probably have to go into the left lip to stop all the hard turning everywhere.
Oh no, that's all a bit scary because I had way too much speed off the flip,
which made that quite a sling. Yes, it feels a bit weird on there, the speed. Yes, I can't
leave it. I want to link that all together. Let's go again. I'll take that one. I'm literally
landing almost flat on that jump and I'm scared to flip soups or something because I might land
on my back. Pumped on the three whips though. I haven't done a three whip for a little while.
Oh, that's sick. The flip off, that's quite rad. Come and look at that lip a second.
See what I mean? Look, it's sideways-y and you get super fun cutties into this part. Look.
I like that. It feels weird because you're aiming off the landing and you just go.
We were about to go and do another video for the second channel. We'll explain that in a bit, but
the mini ramp is dry today and I didn't do any tricks the last time we're here. Let's just see
what maneuvers can be pulled off. Actually, the only time I've shown this was in the second
channel, didn't I? On the mountain board in the bike park is the dream video. Yes, this is new
here. Super cool. They've got loads of stuff. Always getting more and more excitement at
Twisted Oaks. Let's see what tricks we can do on it. I'm a bit scared of that wet patch.
Wow, what a nice quarter pipe that is. It's quite good for air, is that?
Is that immediately the sickest transfer on earth there? Look. Maybe.
Oh, no. Into these freshly planted trees. That's quite a cool.
I bet you could learn. That's literally for learning. I'm going to flare that.
No, that's not really nice for the back wheel, is it? It is a halo, so no problem.
Yes, you could learn flares. I reckon I'm going to tell them to make that into
full mulch. You could do flare bars and stuff, couldn't you? That's insane. Let
me at least land a real one. I'll just air and flare this side. My wet tires.
That was a well weird one. I was all slidey, weren't I? Another one would be fun. Bar air,
tuck air, whip air. Oh, yes. I had a bit of a slide on the landing then, didn't I?
It's been a super sick video starting with square wheels. It's just ridiculous. Definitely
shouldn't have worked. Then it was literally the best thing on earth. A bit weird, but it was
actually well fun and such a good experiment. All the other riding ended up being rad as well,
finishing with twisted oak sesh. Dreams. Like I said a second ago, we're going to go
and try a new thing for the second channel. If you haven't seen the second channel,
link's at the end of this video. It's probably on the screen now. We've got a two-wheel drive
scooter that goes like 50 mile an hour. It's going to be ridiculous. See you in the next one.
