Things are changing

and that's okay we're just gonna we're just gonna deal with it hi hey how's it going i'm gonna try and be articulate and try to like put together all of these thoughts that are that are and have been running around my mind for a while and uh and update you on some very obvious changes in my life and uh it feels like forever since i've i've actually just like talked to the camera and actually been personal on this youtube channel and uh and i'm sorry and i miss it and i feel like i've been distant from my youtube channel a lot recently and distant from instagram and you know anyway whatever but we'll stick to the notes so first big change obviously i've moved this is this is my old room and wow it is echoey when there is no bed or anything else in it yeah that's been obviously the biggest change in my life recently and i've been wanting to update people on it but then i was i was gonna make a you know a big video about it so i was like i'll put that up on my instagram you know it was like surprise i've moved or whatever but life and christmas and just so much stuff all happened all at the same time and uh and i wasn't able to say anything about it on instagram or youtube or anything like that so um so i just haven't said anything and now it feels weird because i've been moved for like a week and a bit or something and uh and i haven't talked about it yet i was showing about it it's not like it's a secret it's just that i haven't had the time i don't know this is you could probably just entitle this video millennial complains about being too busy for 10 minutes but it's also her fault but yeah so we've moved and that's the most exciting change in my life i will eventually put out a video that is you know moving into the new place and decorating it similar to you know previous video that i did like this time last year no longer than that and you know maybe eventually a apartment tour and that kind of thing but i've just i've got so many other videos that are also in the backlog like really fun videos and videos that i'm excited to make no it's like that go back the next one that i'll be making is probably like my everyday life in japan more vlog style more like personal you know similar to this kind of video that i've done in the past i want to i want to move away from the japan tourism promo videos you know the trips that i do and then they're actually like really fun and i i really enjoy them but i like they don't feel like me they don't feel it doesn't feel like my style it doesn't feel very personal you're kind of working within such tight uh confines compounds tight fences i'm in a box i'm in a box it's hard to make them feel like me oh here comes the sun i think maybe people are getting maybe sick of watching those videos i don't know they're not not doing as well as my videos normally do i don't know maybe it's the algorithm or maybe people are just tired of people are tired of coronavirus and they're tired of watching other people travel and uh and they're tired of um waiting to travel to japan when it really doesn't seem like that's gonna happen anytime soon i don't know i'm like i'm really struggling to be optimistic at the moment i think like to be honest to be completely honest at the moment maybe maybe maybe i'm spending too much time on twitter for a moment there i really did kind of feel like you know japan started to open up the borders for new visas like new working visas and student visas wow and it was exciting and everyone was was so excited to come back to japan and it was really looking like things were moving but then not three weeks later japan completely reverses their decision and they just block everyone out of the country again and i think when that happened there was a big kind of shift um of pessimism not pessimism but hopelessness i felt it in my life and i felt it in my my friends that that are around me here in japan of uh you know just kind of felt like it's gonna take a while for the borders to properly open and i'm trying to be optimistic optimistic i'm really really trying feels like i'm just like running in this never-ending marathon of trying to stay optimistic but um i think if i just shift perspectives i shift you know the content slightly i i kind of for a bit then it's very dramatic very dramatic of me but it felt like why am i doing my best to promote japan and to promote tourism to japan but it really doesn't feel like japan wants me here uh it's very dramatic i know i i don't even stand by that opinion but i felt it for a second then um i started to watch some more like just everyday life vlog content i think i've been just kind of craving like normal chill everyday life kinds of content i don't know i think i i can still make it i can still make it me i can still make it look really nice i can still make it cinematic i might still do like maybe an occasional uh tourism video or tourism trip sorry i meant um i've actually i've got one coming up in january in niigata which i am legit excited for because it's like snowboarding and skiing and you know beautiful snow mountains and niigata is just like the snowiest place on earth so i'm actually really keen for that one i think it's going to be beautiful yeah i'll still be obviously still be traveling i don't know maybe a bit more personal maybe a bit more uh normal uh i don't know what am i saying what now that i've got a new apartment and it's bigger and i think it's going to give me more space to create more space to to give the effort and time that this channel deserves because i feel like it's kind of been been on the back burner is that the right word back burner it's been on the back been in the back seat in my life and it doesn't feel good i don't like it and and i love doing this i love just like talking to the camera and like being silly and making fun videos and making things look nice and cinematic and stuff like that uh and i have another video coming out in just a couple of days and this is a tourism promo video like all full disclosure and this trip was in shikoku and i'm really really proud of this edit it's really chill it's quiet it's solo traveling style and it's really in depth i think i think you're really really going to like it so please please watch that video when it comes out on the 29th i guess that's all i've got to say i'm just rambling right now but um i really hope everyone's had a wonderful christmas i hope you have an amazing new year this is the last video from me for 2021 and let's hope and pray that 2022 is a lot better and that japan opens the borders and then we can actually all get excited about travel again thank you so much for your support thank you thank you so much for your support it means the absolute world to me uh starting a youtube channel is by far the best decision i've ever made in my life and you guys have all offered me the opportunity to do so many things that i never thought that i would ever get to do and my life is substantially different the trajectory of my life is so different to how it would have been if i had never started this channel and if you've never um given me
