Hey guys, it's Tina here.
Welcome back to another episode of Tina Tries It.
In today's episode, I will be trying out the new Beauty ColourPop collection in collaboration with Pony.
As you guys may have seen on social media,
ColourPop recently launched their new Beauty Collection,
which was created by South Korean makeup artist and beauty guru, Pony Park.
If you guys don't know who Pony is,
she has over 5 million subscribers on YouTube
You guys may have also seen her recent collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.
And previously, she's also done a collaboration with Memebox,
and she has her own line called Pony Effect.
Her latest collection with ColourPop was inspired by Gumballs.
It's very pink and cute.
So this is the PR package that I received.
You guys can actually get this set online.
The packaging is very cute.
It's got holographic print on it.
Inside, we have the full collection,
which consists of the Candy Button Palette,
the Bitty Pops Super Shock Shadow Foursome,
the Sweetener Liquid Lip Trio,
and Super Shock Cheeks.
In this little pack, there's four Super Shock shadows.
So first, we have Walk On Air, which is an icy taupe shade.
This washed beautifully and it applied so nice and buttery like the other Super Shock formulas.
Then we have 7th Heaven, which is a pink with gold tones in it.
This one is called Gumball.
It's a cool toned baby pink with blue and violet sparkles.
And last but not least, this is Warm and Fuzzy.
It's a mid-tone pink with a little bit of silver reflex.
So far, my favorite shade is the second one, which is 7th Heaven.
This one is just so pretty and it swatches so beautifully.
Next up, we have the Candy Button Shadow Palette.
This has nine shades all together.
It has a mixture of mattes, metallics, and glitter shades.
I'll just quickly swatch the colors so you guys can see what they look like.
Let's move on to the Super Shock Cheek colors.
First, we have some highlighters.
This one is called Glow Burst.
It's a soft pink highlighter with a little bit of silver in it.
It's not a very beaming highlight.
I feel like it's very, very natural and subtle.
Then, we have Frosty.
And I don't know what happened to this guy, but this one was very poorly made.
As you guys can see, you can see through the pan.
It looks like the shadow doesn't really fit very well.
I don't know if you guys can tell, but the cap is also very scratched on this one.
This is how the pan is supposed to fit and this is what I received.
Anyways, Frosty is a golden peachy pink highlight with a little bit of gold sheen to it.
Yeah, you can barely see it on camera because I can barely see it in real life.
These aren't very pigmented at all.
This one is a blush color.
It's called Simply Sweet.
These blushes are pretty light on.
So if you want an intense blush, you would have to build up the coverage.
Though the formula feels very squishy.
It feels like cream, but it has more of like a powder finish.
This one's called Sugar Coated.
And finally, this one is Double Bubble.
And then finally, in the collection, we have the Sweetener Lip Trio.
Inside, we have three ultra blotted lip colors.
Two Holic, Holly Lolly, and Juicy Drop.
So I am done swatching all the products.
Let me actually have a play and actually try it on my face.
I'm going to do my eyes first and I'm going to dip into the Candy Button palette.
Out of all the shades here, I feel like this one in the middle, Sweet Capacity,
would make a good crease color.
Oh, and by the way, this palette has a mirror.
The last ColourPop palette I use, this is the Sweet Talk Pressed Powder palette.
I really like the shades in this one, but it didn't have a mirror.
And so when I was traveling, this really annoyed me.
So I'm just going to work this into my crease.
I always start off with my crease just to kind of like get a rough shape
and almost like contour my eyes to make them look bigger.
Now, I wouldn't say these colors are like super pigmented.
I feel like they're very in line with the K-beauty trends that you would see now in Korea.
Now, I'm going to go into Bubblicious and just deepen up my socket.
Now, if you guys have hooded eyes, whenever I'm doing eyeshadows,
I always have like my eye open so I can see how far I'm going up.
Otherwise, sometimes when I blend with my eyes closed,
when I open it up, all the shadow kind of disappears
because I haven't blended it high enough.
I've just gotten used to just doing my eye makeup with like my eyes open.
Next, I'm going to work in Jelly Babe.
And this color, I'm just going to pat it on on my outer corner.
I'm just going to pack it right there
and then go into my inner corner and then pack a little bit of that.
Then with whatever's left on my brush,
I'm just going to kind of connect that and just work into my socket.
Okay, so far, I'm liking how this is looking.
Shall I go in and deepen it up a little bit more?
Let's just go in with Poppin.
And I'm just going to deepen up the outer corners.
I'm going to go into Pop, which is like more of a glittery metallic finish.
And I'm going to pop this on the center.
That is not working with the brush.
I'm going to use my finger.
That's looking nice, but I want to amplify it just a little bit.
So I'm going to go into 7th Heaven, the Super Shock Shadow.
And I'm going to lay that color over in the center.
Yeah.
Yes!
I'm going to pop some of Sweet Capacity and Bubblicious on my lower lash line.
And then I'm going to go into Sweet Life, which is this pressed glitter.
The glitter particles are quite chunky.
There's a combination of like larger particles with little specks of glitter.
I'm going to pop it on my lower lash line underneath my pupil
just to give it a little bit of sparkle.
This is definitely not an everyday sort of look,
but if you're going to a festival, I can see these glitters coming in handy.
I might pop a little bit on the top as well just so it ties in just in the center.
Keep in mind that these glitter particles are really chunky,
so you don't want to get it in your eye.
Okay, so I'm done with the shadows.
I'm going to finish off my eye makeup,
add some lashes on, a little bit of liner, and then I'll be right back.
So I've just finished off my eyes.
I am wearing one of my new lashes.
This style is called Lily.
This is great if you have like smaller hooded eye shapes
and you just want something that adds a little bit of length and volume,
but it's not too crazy, not too long, and it doesn't weigh your eyes down.
I also added in some lower lashes.
I've been thinking about adding some lower lashes to my Petit Cosmetics range,
but I'm not too sure if it's going to be popular.
Let me know if you guys would wear lower lashes
or is that like too much and that's like overkill?
Anyways, I'm ready to move on to my cheeks.
So I have three of the shades here.
The orangey peachy one has a little bit of reflex in it
because I have a little bit more texture and like just little pimples underneath.
I don't want anything that's going to highlight my texture,
so I'm going to go with the matte formulas.
I'm going to go in with Simply Sweet first.
These aren't like super pigmented,
so I'm actually grabbing a lot of product on my brush,
but it's not actually too much when it's applied.
I'm going to bring it further in as well.
I'm going to pop a little bit on my nose,
and then I'm going to amp it up with the sugar-coated cheek color.
Just going to pop that pretty much in the center where the apple is.
I'm going to just dust a little bit over my nose.
Now, I'm going to highlight.
I'm going to go in with Glow Burst.
I'm using my fingers for this.
Oh my god, it just feels so nice.
I don't know how to explain it.
It almost feels wet.
And I'm going to pop it a little bit higher than normal
because I have a little bit of texture on my skin.
Now, these aren't over the top.
You're not going to blind anyone.
It's not that gleaming highlight that you get from like Becca or anything.
This is just more like a subtle, nice, sort of like sheen.
This is very pink.
My background's pink.
I'm wearing pink.
Everything is pink.
I'm not even going to bother with this.
That just totally fell out of the pan, guys.
That totally failed.
This one was very poorly made.
Alrighty, what's next?
What's next?
Finally, I'm going to pop a lip color on.
Oh, this one is upside down.
What color should I do?
I feel like that's too bright.
Yeah, that goes.
Nah, okay.
I'm going to go in with this shade.
This is Holly Lolly.
So I'm not too sure what this blotted formula is going to be like.
I just hope it's not drying because, you know, I have dry lips all the time.
This is a really nice color.
It's like a better version of my lip color.
Looks like I am done with my makeup.
What do you guys think of this pinky feminine look?
Insert posy montage here.
I tried to give myself Korean bangs without really cutting my fringe.
So that's how it's looking.
Whenever I'm filming videos, I get so awkward filming like the posy part.
I feel like a complete loser because it's just me in this room.
I'm just like trying to channel my inner supermodel.
Maybe she's born with it.
Maybe it's two lights, a reflector, background light, and lots of makeup.
Overall, I feel like the Bitchy Collection is a nice collection,
especially if you're a big fan of Pony.
You can definitely see that the textures and colors are more inspired by Korean makeup.
I think this collection is more suitable for those of you who like more wearable colors
and prefer a more natural look.
The colors aren't over the top.
The highlights aren't gleaming and out there.
For me, I've always been a big fan of the Super Shock Shadows from Colourpop.
I'm sure a lot of people love them.
So I feel like those ones are really nice.
The Candy Button palette, I feel like is quite cute,
but I feel like some of the shades might not be for everyone.
I do like everything but the Glitter Shadows.
I feel like the glitter is quite chunky and more so the colors.
I don't think I would dip into these colors unless it was more of like a festive look that I'm doing.
Even if I was going for glam, I think I would prefer the Glitter Shadows from Tati's palette.
If you guys haven't seen my video on Tati's palette,
go watch it because her formulas, it was very different
even though Colourpop and Tati Beauty are made by Seed Beauty.
As for the Ultra Blotted Lip Trios,
the one that I used was quite nice, Holly Lolly.
I feel like this color would be, you know, more suitable for an everyday look.
I feel like it's a better version of your own lip color.
This formula is not hydrating whatsoever.
Is it drying?
I don't feel like it's drying per se,
but it does not add any moisture to your lips.
My lips were okay today.
So that's a good sign.
The finish of this does actually look like I got a tissue and I blotted my lips.
That's the finish that I get.
It's very Korean.
I don't know if it's for everyone.
Personally, I do like this lip.
I feel like it's a little bit more low maintenance compared to, you know,
like a glossy lip or a bold matte lip.
However, out of the three, I think I would only reach for this one.
The blushes aren't very intense.
So you definitely need to apply a lot more product than I guess like other blushes.
And can we just talk about this guy?
Notice how I have the lid on this time.
So it doesn't fall out on my table again.
I don't know what happened here, guys.
This one was a bad one out of the batch
and it just made it past quality assurance somehow.
This one is going in the bin for me.
Not so much because of the formula.
It's just because it's poorly made.
However, like you saw, the highlighters aren't super pigmented.
So that's my thoughts on the Bitter Collection.
I don't think it's going to be everyone's cup of tea,
especially if you like the ultra glam, highly pigmented shadows and colors.
If you like that, I would highly recommend the Tati palette.
Anyways, that is it from me.

Bye!
This whole time, I didn't realize I didn't have my hand in the sleeve.
I was like, why is this dress so tight on one arm?
But I didn't realize my arm isn't in the actual sleeve.
I had waved with this hand too.
I wonder if anyone noticed.
Bye!
