Hey Joey, how are you doing? I'm doing great, thanks. I know, I wanted to ask you, I know you
have this new Trime, you know, True Crime podcast dropping. I mean, what are you finally revealing
about what the public's never heard before? It goes pretty deep into my life, especially
back in the day. And it's just, I had great opportunity to do this podcast that I'm meant
to do. And I'm at a point in my life where I'm able to unload all this crap from the track,
and it's all like the real stuff that went on back then. All right, I know. What do you think
the public got wrong about the story, like, you know, back then? Anything you want to... Which
story? The Amy Fisher stuff? There's so many stories. I guess the Amy Fisher one. Well,
that's a pretty big one. My life was going great because everything was under the radar. And then
when that went down, I heard, and she told me actually, she was on Ecstasy back then.
It's a long story, but I really... This was not like this long romance thing. It was
very quick. But then the results were horrible. Amy just shot Mary Jo in the face,
knocked on the door and shot Mary Jo in the face. It was horrible what happened
to my wife and to my children as well. It was terrible. No kids. I know. I wanted to ask,
I mean, what's the biggest lie that people still believe about you? You know, after...
I heard one yesterday on some news program or somebody was talking about that. And the lady
said that I groomed her. I groomed her for what? You know, I think once we really hear, people
really hear her words, her story about me, not that it's going to change anybody's mind, but
what went on back then was created in the media. Do you feel like you could have done
things different back then? You know, when this whole... Oh my God. Yes. Probably. I could have
done a lot of things different, but I didn't. I didn't do anything different. That's because
that's how I handled it. Maybe looking back, I didn't handle it pretty good, but I was never
thrown into the media like this. I had no idea, no idea where it was going to go, what's happening.
Yeah. Okay. And I know there's been so much media attention about it. I mean, we're hearing that
there's a film in development, I mean, about your life. Is this true? Yes, there is a film in
development. And I think David can tell you a lot about that. It's kind of awesome. I'm very excited
about it. It's my young life and it's... I was a messed up kid anyway. I was a vandal. I did all
kinds of ----. Stealing boats, stealing cars. This is the gray area that we're talking about.
And we ended up putting together order of things that most people just did not know. His abuse as
a child led to the crime spree for 25 years. That was a while ago. That was brutal. And of course,
led to the Amy Fisher. So James Brolin has written an incredible script called Joey.
And it's going to blow your mind. It's like an I, Tonya meets Rocketman type of movie.
And it tells the truth and the gray matter that we get into. Miles Teller has an interest. That's
James Brolin's choice to play Joey. Wow. So how did that come about? How did Miles Teller get
involved with this? Here's the way it came about. It has not happened yet. But James and I, it was
really strange. And Joey, we're all watching Saturday Night Live. Miles Teller comes on. He's
beautiful. He looks like a young Joey. And we're looking at him and we said, this is Joey. That's
where we pegged him. So we're all in after Miles. We hope he reads the script. James and I believe
CAA is going to help us with it. And God bless us. It's it will really be it'll be like the I,
Tonya. You know, I think it's an Academy Award. Well, do you want Miles to play you? Do you think
he'll do you justice? I do. I do feel that Miles will do this film justice because I think he's
a good actor and it's a young me. I look at him and say, Jesus, this guy. Their profiles.
I'm the old one. He's the young one. So when we do Saturday Night Live together,
me and Miles, it'll be interesting because he's young and I'm old. I'm 70 now. I lived a cool
life. Every bit of it was cool. But I'm here. I didn't die. I should have. And by the way,
he's a good criminal. OK, I want you to know that. Oh, I had a great CC going, man.
Just continuous criminal enterprise back in the day. He's not that way. I don't do that anymore,
but I had so much happening and coming over, coming in. It's going to be quite a story.
It's with Gambino crime family. I mean, there's very, very amazing history. I'm old enough that
we're talking about the original Carlo Gambino, who lived in Massapequa down the street from me
when I was a kid and how I was groomed by them. It was really it's a cool story. So
I mean, he was grim that talk about grooming at 12 years old and he went on a crime spree
for about 25 years. Now, is this the abuse that you spoke of a few minutes ago?
Even before from the age of five to 12, this kid was shot up with a baby needle by his aunt.
Wow. One of the characters when I was five. I mean, it's terrible because it really messed me
up and it did. I had no boundaries after that. It was a throttle. Everything was full throttle.
Nothing was fast enough. Do you feel like that influenced you to maybe,
you know, work with the mob or do you think that maybe pushed you to that point or was that
different? Yeah, I guess it was easy leading and then to be groomed by, you know, the Carlo
Gambino family from Massapequa and he's the original guy. And then it's a great story how
that evolved. I was running numbers at 12 years old, bringing the numbers to cars pharmacy, man,
giving it to Mr. Carver. He owned the pharmacy and I got paid in candy. He didn't know what
he was doing. He was 12. He got paid in candy and candy and sugar. It was great. Great stories
and great memories that I have of that. They weren't all insane, but what I got into was insane.
You know, when the Amy Fisher thing happened, my poor wife and my kids, my family, my neighbors,
it was horrible. Everything blew up. And jump to Amy. We did a three-way interview on
Entertainment Tonight and The Insider with Victoria Reconio and that was riveting. Now
we have Amy on tape and it's something I'd really love to give to you guys when we're ready,
where she totally gives you, how would you say it? Clears him. Clears him of everything. She takes all
the blame. She was intimidated by her lawyers. We have it all on tape, something that we can talk
about as part of this, but it goes, it all works in to the Men Talk To podcast, MT2, Men Talk To,
MT2 podcast, where he reveals all this stuff. It is not broke because TMZ has the first on it,
but it's going to break as soon as you guys tell me we can break it. And where can the fans get
this podcast? So it's Men Talk To MT2. That's the name. We have to add MT2 because there's
Men Talk To everywhere. Okay. And it's on all streaming channels, platforms everywhere. Great.
Sounds good. Yeah, man. Yeah. And what is life like after all of this? You know,
how has life been like for you? It took a long time to get here today, like, you know, over the
last 30 years of 1992 when everything blew up. And I mean, everything, you know, tough recovery
for Mary Jo and my kids. But to get here and not have committed suicide was because I thought about
that. This is too heavy, you know, between everything that went on with Mary Jo. And
his daughter hasn't talked to him for six years. He loves his daughter. He cries. I do. But to get
here, we're hoping to do an interview with the daughter. Got to find Jessica. Oh, she's here.
Okay. Okay. We just got to find it. Okay. We don't speak right at the moment. So it's been six
years, but maybe we'll get there. Okay. But to get here from there, it was a very, very difficult
road. But I cannot believe it's been what was 30 years, 32 years. Oh my God. Everything that
happened in there, definitely from that affected my life all the way through. I was on the, I had
a target on my back with law enforcement and it never went away. He's a baby and he was a chain
to a dollop in his basement for years. I mean, this is a tragic story and this is what leads
why people become criminal and why people, some people have other really psycho here.
They're the guys that they put me in jail with the Nassau County, like Colin Ferguson. He was
that crazy dude who shot all the innocent people on the Long Isle railroad like 30 years ago.
And then we're in Nassau County. They stuck me in there with these guys. All the serial killers,
Joel Rifkin was in there like, and we would go to visit my kids and he'd be there talking
to his mother and Ferguson wasn't allowed out of his cell. And I mean, there's so much that
happened. It's almost, I have to go to the beginning and I remember it all. I remember
this stuff, what happened. The details are like housing, the fights in jail. It's not just Amy
Fisher affair. There's a lot more involved. Well, thank you. We appreciate you guys time.
Can't wait to see the movie. It'll be fun. I think it'll be great. Thank you guys so much.
So good to see you, Harvey. Hope to see you soon. All right. Take care. Thank you.
