Got a six-hour drive ahead of me. I desperately need a shower but I'm procrastinating a little
bit longer because apparently there's some secret hidden-ish waterfall in this area so
we're gonna find that first. The reason this is a paved path is this is actually an old highway
and the instructions to find the waterfall are basically follow the old highway until
you hear the waterfall and then just follow the sound of the water. I hear water! Definitely a
place that you have to be looking for to find it because there's no trailhead it's just a
random pull out on the side of the road and if you are doing it the last eighth mile is
basically straight down and then it's straight back up to get out of there. Still got the yellow line.
This road was built in 1925 to link with the Columbia River Highway until they found obviously
a better placement because there's very steep drop-offs and I would not want to drive on this road.
Oh my hair is just dry shampoo. Finding new uses for luco tape. You didn't fall!
I really don't like you. I thought you thought that I was me.
Civilization. My favorite grocery store. I'm making the executive decision to not go to the
closest Planet Fitness because I kind of want to drive while it's light out for as long as possible
so we're gonna drive for another couple hours and then we get to shop. That ate it all. I googled it
and this is the cheapest gas in the area so let's do it. I feel like this is why I'm struggling to
choose where to drive currently because filling up gas is painful and I don't want to commit to a
certain direction and then have it not be where I want to go and spend all that money. I've been
very indecisive. Part of me wants to go north because there might be snow but then I feel like
it's been such a terrible snow year that I'm just gonna get let down so then I'm like I should go
south and now it's dark and I actually have to make a decision so I feel like I should just flip
coin. Heads are north, tails are south. I think I'll flip coin. Heads! Okay, north it is. **** it.
Way too long to get ready and now it's dark and we're gonna go in and we're gonna do a quick
workout even though I have no motivation and then we're gonna shop. That's my baby. I do remember in
this area rest areas are usually better because a lot of the truck stops like the Luvs and Pilot
and stuff they'll have these one or two hour parking only signs and you typically will get
the knock or can get the knock and they're just they become very annoying about it so I think
we're gonna do a rest area tonight. One, two, three, four. I added two more string lights and they have
fresh batteries and the other two I need to replace the batteries so I'm looking into getting rechargeable
batteries because I just feel like now that I'm using these I would prefer to have rechargeable
batteries so if you guys know any I don't know better are there good rechargeable batteries
because I need to find some. My knife. We're gonna do leftovers because I have I still have some hot dogs.
I take these from truck stops because I just feel like it's nice to have non-perishable
so whenever I go and I get like a coffee at a truck stop or something
I take a bunch of these packets. I am running low though so I shall have to get more. Cut too many onions.
Because I became a vegetarian really young and it wasn't for ethical reasons it was more so just
because I didn't like the taste of meat when I was 10 years old. There was a real weird level of guilt
behind even if I want to try something because I've never had it before like I tried steak a bite of
steak three years ago and it was my first time ever trying steak and I didn't like it but I'm
also like well did I not like it because I put this real level of guilt over even wanting to
try something like that and even though I didn't become a vegetarian for ethical reasons as I've
gotten older I am more aware of the ethical reasons and it's become a bigger focus on why
I am a vegetarian and then there's also that part of me that feels like if you're hunting and you
kill something to feed yourself or your family or fishing is something that I thought I wanted to
get into and then I'm like well what would I even do if I catch a fish I don't eat fish
so there's this constant battle in my head of I don't really think I enjoy the taste of these
things but also if I want to get into ever living on the land or homesteading or things like this
I feel like that's part of it and so it's this constant thought process in my brain
where I don't want to eat meat and I don't even like meat but at the same time fishing sounds fun
but then could I really kill an animal I don't know so I'm eating fake meat to adjust to the
taste which is honestly not bad as long as I put like a ton of stuff on top
I don't know if that made any sense round two I'm thinking it might be time to change the color
of my sheets I forgot I got I got like a light thing does that help that makes a huge difference
actually I need to get changed into my pajamas because I don't like to wear them like even though
I'm basically leaving planet fitness to go to bed I still don't like to leave my pajamas out
because they're kind of pajamas I mean there really are just so many options for what color
I can have my car be now enough playing around I do think this is going to make a huge difference
I feel like even now um I really struggle in low light also my wide angle lens on this camera
doesn't have flash like I know some do and I've had I've had this thing for months and I've just
forgot about it but hopefully it is your answer to my phone my new light we have to get up early
because I've still got about a three and a half hour drive I only made it like two and a half
hours today I got a very late start sorry this isn't very interesting I feel like it's just kind
of a travel day and I don't know it's kind of boring but life's kind of boring sometimes so
anyways I'll see you guys bright and early good night I think it rained last night I definitely
woke up at one point that's right I do forget that I have glasses and so I'll just do my
morning routine brush my teeth do everything completely blind instead of just putting my
glasses on I'll get used to it someday vision I do love rest areas they always feel so safe
of course I'm in Washington for less than 24 hours and it's just downpouring I was going to
make coffee outside but we are gonna make coffee inside because it's raining it's raining
I do hate this weather for driving what a strange question apparently it's frequently asked though
sometimes I do oat milk just because I have to worry less about refrigeration as long as it's
cold outside it's typically fine than regular milk just depends and also they sell it in smaller
containers than regular milk seems like it's only supposed to be uh I guess my light's dead
seems like it was just a brief period of very heavy rain and the day seems fine but there's a
ton of accidents now I guess so I'm gonna drive for a little bit longer and then stop at a library
or Panera or something just to edit and do some work for a little bit just to let the accidents
clear up and then I'll be driving also in better weather because it's gonna keep raining for a few
also this amazing grocery outlet 79 cents for a box of five this is where I go to get
everything now well I go to grocery outlet first and buy things and then finish up at like Walmart
or Safeway for all the things grocery outlet doesn't have but first stop is always grocery
outlet now I do have so many memories of this first stop and the southbound one because I
actually worked at a subway near here in 2020 and so I would work at subway and then I would
sleep at these rest areas and I would alternate which rest area I slept at
