Hi it's Lucy and today I'll be creating 10 different cards with this brand new
sentiment sheet I designed. I hope it gives you lots of ideas on how to use them.
You can print the sheet on regular paper for card inserts or different weights of white cardstock
or even on lightly patterned paper for a unique look. If you do use patterned paper though just
make sure there's nothing in the background that might distract from the words. For example here
one of these sentiments printed over some script in the design which makes it a little harder to
read. So in this case I'd either flip the paper over because it's double-sided anyway and I'll
use the other side or I would just save this piece for scraps. You can separate the four sentiments
by die cutting them or simply use a trimmer. So let's get started on the first card and I really
like this check pattern at the bottom of the paper so I'll make sure to keep that showing
on the card front. And although I'm using this one on the outside these sentiments also work
beautifully as card inserts if you don't feel like writing a lot yourself this is such a lovely
alternative. When I'm covering a card front this is a little trick that works well for me. I add
three strips of double-sided tape but I only peel the backing off two of them leaving the strip on
the left hand side in place. That way I can line up the paper perfectly with the fold of the card
which is the most important part to get right. And once it's lined up I press the paper down
onto the card and then peel away that last strip of backing. And if the edges don't match up
perfectly with the card base I can just trim them off afterwards but you can't do that at the fold
line so that's why I always start there. And once I've added the piece to the front it's time to
give it a little more wow factor. Did you see my journal say haul on the weekend? Lots of you loved
the items I shared and I'm using a few of them today including these gorgeous PET flowers
stickers. To peel these stickers off the backing I find the easiest way is to gently roll my thumb
over the edge. If it doesn't lift straight away I just work my way around the sticker and usually
there's always a spot where it comes away quickly. I'll just add three stickers letting them overhang
the edge of the card rather than keeping them whole and that way I can trim off the extra pieces
and I'll add them around the sides which creates so much more interest than just using three
stickers in full. And while I'm working on this card I want to quickly talk about the sentiment
sheet I'm using today and you can easily make your own in a word document by choosing some nice fonts.
I'll link the ones I used in the description box or if that feels a bit tricky or you just really
like this one you can get it as part of my channel membership. For the price of a coffee each month
you'll be supporting my channel and also receiving some fun perks. Members get a brand new printable
sentiment sheet every month that you can download and use over and over. You also get early access

I also have this butterfly set and I think the little gold butterflies will be perfect here.
Most of the butterflies are pre-cut but the smaller gold ones need cutting. It doesn't have
to be exact though since the background of them is clear. And to finish I'll try out a few different
flower stickers to decorate the inside as well. I love this one for the top right and I'll have
it just touching over the edges and just like that the first card is finished. It's super simple
but it's quite beautiful would you agree? And you could even make a matching envelope as well with
one of the floral stickers. For this next card I've die cut the sentiment using a smaller rectangle
die so I can add a lovely border around it and I'm using this orange check paper which is perfect
for the card. Here's a simple way to cover your card front and make sure it lines up perfectly
with the base. Add three strips of double-sided tape to the card base then place the paper you
want to use face down. Peel the tape backings and press the card base onto the paper and once it's
stuck you can just trim around the edges of the card and this way you know it will cover the base
perfectly. You'll find I rarely measure anything if I can get away with it. And next I'm adding two
pieces of scrap paper under the sentiment. This gives lovely height without needing lots of
expensive foam tape. Okay so I've added the sentiment to the card front and here's another
tip it would have been easier to add the flowers and butterflies while the sentiment piece was
still flat on my desk as it's much simpler to cut around than now that it's sitting on the card.
But we can all learn from these little mistakes which is why I leave them in. I'm adding these
flowers from last month's journal say box which are the perfect color for this card. I love how
the designer paper I used was just one sheet yet these two cards end up looking like they weren't
made from the same paper at all. The paper here is an older uniquely creative one from the hello
baby girl collection but if you don't have that you can always look through your stash for
something suitable to print your sentiments on and I can't wait to do more of these in future.
You can even personalize your sentiments for example happy birthday Tracy on the front and
then build your card around that. I've created personalized cards like that on video before
and they've always turned out really special and then once I've finished here are the two cards
with the sentiments printed on designer paper. I think it looks really nice I hope they give you a
great idea whether you're a member using my sheet or creating your own at home. Now I'm cutting some
of the sentiments from white card and my electric die cutting machine makes it super easy cutting
the whole sheet at once. If you don't die cut I've added really light cut lines so you can trim them
by hand as well and when you print sentiments with plenty of spacing you can get creative like
I'm using squares circles and different sized rectangles for these cards and if you want to
make your own printables but don't have fancy fonts but are interested in them I get mine from
Creative Fabrica. I've linked their store in the description they have thousands of fonts millions
of images and even SVG cutting files for 3D crafts if you're interested in that. I use at least one
of their items in almost every video from thumbnails to sentiments they even have an AI
section where you can create exactly what you need it's just a treasure trove for crafters.
I have the yearly membership so I can download everything and anything that I want for the whole
year but you can also just purchase per item as well they even have some freebies and some really
nice font freebies. This next card came together in about a minute can you believe it I just picked
a few pieces from three different sticker packs and it's done. I love making layered cards that
take more time but it's also nice to have a really productive day where you can whip up lots of cards
that you love and these sticker packs were from my latest journal sale haul in that video and did
you see I'm running a giveaway to celebrate reaching 25 000 subscribers there's four $50
journal sale vouchers up for grabs which works out to be about 70 Australian dollars for us Aussies
entries close in about a week so head to that video for the details and how to enter their
prices are always so good but they also have a huge sale on right now with with up to 67%
off and free shipping to anywhere with orders over 29 US dollars. I hope you don't mind me mentioning
companies I really love and have been using for years or when I spot a great bargain or a freebie
or a sale worth sharing. What did you think of this card isn't it so cute okay now I'm making
one more cute card and this one's for cat lovers I'm using these kitten stickers to make a little
scene and first I'll lightly ink the edges for some sky and grass and you could take it further
if you like by stenciling on some clouds or even using stickers or ephemera for clouds. I'm using
distress oxides and Aussie is uniquely creative now stock these even the small pad sets so handy
if you don't ink a lot and I wish they'd been around when I first bought mine because I ended
up with nearly every color in the huge big ink pads and now I'm going to pop on the kittens and
I'm going to have one looking at the jumper and one's laughing he's so cute and another breaking
out of the card I just think they're so fun and these sticker packs are only $1.62 for 50 stickers
and they come in different colors too and then the card's done and you could always add a kitten or
two inside the card or on the envelope as well for this card I'm using the same flower stickers
and sentiment piece as my first card but it'll look completely different I tested fired brick
and aged mahogany inks and the mahogany one I'll blend it further into the card piece this time too
now I only need to use two stickers and I'll save the trimmed pieces to add inside later the
sentiment is a die cut with a smaller rectangle so I'm going to layer it onto gold card and it
pairs so nicely with the burgundy tones and for the background I dug out an old paper from my
stash I like to pop these type of papers that are mostly one color with my matching card stock
colors so they're easy to find instead of always grabbing just plain flat colors and inside I've
now added those leftover sticker bits and here's the finished card I almost reached for Nuvo Drops
but I decided not to this time I like it how it is for this next card I'm cutting into my watercolor
multi-colored and gold shimmer PET tape isn't it stunning and then for the focal point I've chosen
two of the girls holding cocktails which I thought worked perfectly with the cheers sentiment even
though it's a bit more on the masculine side and I will be creating some masculine cards in a moment
too I'll also add a matching border and another girl inside the card and then although I look like
I've finished I then decide to add a few water drop style beads for a subtle accent but glossy
accents would also give a really similar look too all right I'm only using three items for this
masculine card I'll die cut a scrap of black card stock and only the top corner and left side will
be showing and then I've torn one side of the sentiment paper and layered it over the black
card stock and to keep the panel sitting even I'll slip a bit of scrap paper underneath the rest of
it and this one's another super quick and easy card those big sentiment pieces make it so simple
don't they I'll finish it off with the silhouette tape along the bottom and just like that card
number seven is done I've die cut lots of circles for this square card including die cutting the
sentiment into a circle I'm using items and pretty papers from Uniquely Creative's July
collection called indigo bloom some of it may still still be available it's absolutely beautiful
isn't it and speaking of Uniquely Creative their Christmas collection has just been released as
well it's September's collection and you can buy pieces individually now or the large bundle will
be available from Friday the 5th of September it's gorgeous and I'm planning a video with it
soon I can't wait to share the cards that I've already created with it and these Christmas
collections tend to sell out quickly so I wanted to give you a little heads up that it's available
now I'll link it in the description if you want to take a peek and just in case you're new to my
channel one of my favorite ways to shape ephemera pieces is to gently round them using the body of
a pen or something similar and for smaller pieces like bows I use a clean lollipop stick to bend
them with the butterflies I glue down the body onto the card but leave the wings lifted and
sometimes I'll add a bit of foam tape underneath to help them keep their shape and for this card
I've used a 13 and a half centimeter square base and I'd love to know what card sizes and shapes
do you enjoy creating with most let me know in the comments section while I have this paper
collection on my desk I decided to use it again and you could simply cut a square add the sentiment
and be done on this side of the paper but I like to show you a few more ideas than that so
we'll get a little fancier but don't worry it's still a really quick card and I love this striped
paper and the lilac one next to it so now I just have to decide how to place them and once I've
chosen which way round it'll go I'll I die cut them with my stitched square dies no measuring
needed and the stitching detail always gives the papers a lovely finished look and I'll attach both
papers and the sentiment flat onto the card with no extra layers in between and to finish I'm adding
a couple of shimmery watercolor PET stickers with silver elements in them and a girl on a bike
sticker from my last haul and one of the flower ephemera pieces on foam tape and just like that
card number nine is finished onto the last card and do you remember seeing these packs in my journal
say haul video I didn't show all six in full just opened one but here's one I hadn't shared much of
and I'm using a grungy brick paper as the backdrop and it's perfect for this tenth card I've had
these four sticker books in my stash for a while and they're still available I think I'll use a
sticker strip along the bottom of the sentiment and all these stickers come in washi and pt pt the
clear background versions and this is going to be another quick masculine card I'm popping the
sentiment piece on top of a couple of scrap paper layers so it sits up slightly on the card and then
I'll just finish it off with doodling a scribbly border using a thin black marker and I think that
really ties it all together and finishes the card so here's the sentiment sheet I created and used
today if you'd like to use this exact sheet it's available for my channel members this month
of course you can also create your own sentiments and use the same ideas and if you love the fonts
I used I'll have them all listed and linked in the description too and if you're curious about
