These are the top food and travel YouTubers of 2024 and some of my personal favorites.
A lot of people ask which YouTubers they should watch and these are my favorites.
The last time I did this list was in 2019 and the world was a completely different place,
pre-pandemic, pre-2020 election. The world of YouTube has evolved since then. MrBeast,
Ryan Trahan and over 74% of adult Americans watch YouTube. I'm here to showcase the legends,
the new, the up-and-coming, the diverse, the genre-bending best YouTubers in 2024.
These are the channels you can't miss but this list is in no particular order. All of them are
huge creative inspirations for my channel and many of them are people I consider friends. With that
said, let's go. Number one, Mark Wiens. Mark is the GOAT. He defined travel food YouTube starting
back in 2008. We started at the same time. I actually started before him. I didn't copy you,
bro. Maybe a little bit. I'm glad to call him my friend. We filmed multiple videos together around
the world and I hope to see him soon. It's been too long. You truly are an inspiration to me.
Of this entire list, make sure to check him out if you haven't. Number two, best ever food review
show, Sunny. The red bandana guy. This guy is at the top of his league. He's the biggest in the
field. Literally the best TV show on YouTube. He gets into super extreme food. You will always
recognize him. When I'm looking to improve my own videos, this is the guy I watch. He has the best
production in the game and he is funny as hell and down to earth. You definitely know how to
clickbait. Your titles and thumbnails are fire. Teach me, bro. Number three, Peter Santanello.
Amazing creator, combines journalism and travel like it's never been done before on YouTube.
He is the most in-depth, thoughtful, coolest dude I've ever met. He has the most in-depth
American content you will see on YouTube. When I'm looking for ways to talk to people,
I look at Peter. His style is great. Number four, dancing bacons. Like a lot of the other
creators on this list, this one is genre bending style. Literally combining travel,
food, and ASMR. Faceless content. If you're ever thinking about making content on YouTube,
look at this one. She is an inspiration. She makes content without her face. Well,
sometimes she does show her face, but most of the time, no. Number five, Walter's World. Mark
is one of the original OGs. I cannot believe I still haven't met you. His style is timeless.
Top 10 list, very informative. What you love, what you hate about a place. He is part of the
Dude, when are we getting a beer? Seriously. Number six, Rick Steves. When I started my journey,
this was the guy I watched, and it was only on TV. He transcends time. He was first TV,
now, of course, YouTube. He makes the best guidebooks in the world. Forget Frommers and
Lonely Planet. Rick Steves is the GOAT. He is an inspiration for so many people to travel to
My dream is to one day meet him in southern France and drink some delicious wine together.
It would be an honor, and dude, I'm rooting for you. Speedy recovery. Number seven, Teo Aina.
This is a Nigerian documentary filmmaker that dives deep into each destination he visits,
and he tells the truth about the countries. His videos about Jamaica and even my hometown of
Miami are so good and so real, you must watch them. Hope to connect soon in Lagos. Number eight,
Drew Binsky, another OG. This guy has traveled the entire world, every single country,
and he continues to tell stories about people around the world. My favorite video of his is
Entering America's Most Conservative Amish Town. We still haven't met, bro. Hopefully soon. Number
nine, Miss Mina. Miss Mina is from the Pacific Northwest, and like me, she really represents
her community in all her videos. Her channel is amazing. Food, travel, one day we'll connect up
there in Seattle. Number 10, Luke Corns. This is the first of the new generation on my list.
I mentioned a lot of legends, and now it's time to pass the torch. His videos are storytelling
driven. He started making videos at 12 years old. Bro, 12 years old, there was no YouTube when I
was 12 years old. I started when I was 23. He's also been featured on Hillard Smith's podcast,
my favorite YouTube editor. Hillard, we need you on my team, bro. Number 11, Itchy Boots. This Dutch
girl is cool as hell. She's one of these creators that's transcending genres. Motorcycle, travel,
culture, food. I would love to go on a ride with her one day. I really enjoyed her Nigerian videos.
It's always an intense moment when you're riding, and I love how the genre is expanding. Number 12,
Simon Wilson. This guy's incredible. He started off only with an iPhone and has a very vlogging
style. This feels like how I used to film, but this guy has a lot of energy. Definitely younger
than me. I recently checked out his channel, and I really loved his living in the UK's
most deprived town. It was pretty wild. I didn't know places like that existed in the UK, bro.
Number 13, Walk With Tim. If you need a hotel, this is the guy. He explores every type of hotel
on the planet. My favorite was his stay at the world's oldest underwater hotel, which is right
here in South Florida. I've been dying to stay there. Thank you for showing me. Number 14, Blondie
in China. Amy is an Aussie food creator who dives deep into Chinese food and culture, but she also
is fluent in Mandarin. Xiaoma NYC, food ranger, you got competition, bro. I personally loved her
Pingsheng spicy food video. She's been around for five plus years, and she's really exploding
right now. I love your Chinese food videos. They're amazing. Number 15, Peter. I love this
guy's comedic side to his videos. For me, this is like almost like Ryan Trahan of travel. He's
eating at some of the worst rated restaurants and staying at some of the worst hotels on the planet.
This guy's doing very funny things. Seriously, check out his channel. He's great. Number 16,
Sabbatical. You know, us food and travel YouTubers, sometimes we go over the top.
We react crazy to food. We do insane intros. This guy is no frills. Just toss the camera,
and he's real. He's up and coming. Only been creating for three years, but his content's
awesome. Check him out. Number 17, YBS Youngbloods. This guy is genre defying. Literally survival mode
everywhere. He is breaking the internet. You know what? He's an Aussie, so you know he's a badass.
I thought I had it bad going barefoot in the swamps. This guy is 10 times that. I especially
love his Vanuatu stuff. I need to take this guy with me next time I travel to the Amazon.
Bro, come with me. Come on, dude. I'll do it with you. Number 18, Khaled Al Amiri. This is a
Middle Eastern creator from the UAE. He does food culture, but he also is very funny. Seriously, I
watched his videos. I was laughing my ass off. I especially love his I Found the Best Biryani in
Mumbai video. The video is fun, random. He adds a lot of things popping. The way they cut their
videos is something that's completely different from everybody else on this list. And he's from
Dubai. You know, this is one thing I wanted to do in this video is represent the world, not just US
and Canada creators. Number 19, Carl Watson. He does travel cinematic documentaries at its finest.
I recently checked out his channel, and I loved his First Time in Antarctica video. It really was
inspirational. Put together amazingly the way he cut his video, all the different shots he got in
the snow. It really made me want to go there ASAP. I'm taking my kids, bro. Thank you for the
inspiration. Number 20, Dale Phillips. What I love about this guy is his Scottish accent. It's like
I've known about this guy for so many years. His videos in India are jaw-dropping. Literally,
every time he drops a video, I'm like, what is this guy doing? He's putting himself in every
situation, getting haircuts. I mean, he's doing it all. So let me know, bro. Biryani or Panipuri?
Number 21, Luke Martin, also known as Chopstick Travels. This guy's been at it for years. He's
I love the Taiwanese content. You're inspiring me to go, bro. I really need to go. And stop
copying my 100-hour videos. Number 22, Lito Crisis. This is a Spanish YouTuber who makes
incredible videos about tribes all around the world. He dives deep into cultures,
and it's very cinematic. And what I love about his content is that it's consumable by an English
audience because he puts subtitles. Thank you, Lito.
Number 23, Luisito Comunicas. This is one of the biggest Mexican creators on the planet.
This guy has his own tequila, his own restaurants, but his content is epic. And you know what? He
even dubs his content now. Luisito, bro, share some subscribers with me, bro. 42 mil? What's
wrong with you, dude? His videos on Africa are some of the best I've seen, and I've eaten at
his restaurant. Muy bueno. Number 24, Yes Theory. Yes, they are still relevant. After all these
years, this Canadian team has been traveling all around the world, and they do a mix of vlog,
story, cinematic. It's epic stuff. Check out their 50 hours in Europe's last dictatorship.
That's an incredible example of how they shoot. Cinematic, vloggy, at the same time, amazing.
Number 25, Here Be Bar. John is a legend. This is the GOAT of New York City. He dives into
everything NYC. Culture, food, attractions. I taught him everything he knows. Or did he teach me?
100 hours in New York City, doc? Check it out. Number 26, Small Brained American. This guy is
a bit edgy, but he's very entertaining and funny. You should definitely watch his India Sucks,
Don't Ever Come Here video. It's a true shocker, but a must watch. Number 27, Stephen Ndupu. This
Nigerian creator makes incredible travel documentaries that will inspire you to travel
Africa. Love his cinematic feel and the way he edits his videos. His passion for Africa is
unmatched. Watch his Ivory Coast video, Africa's most developed country you never knew existed.
It's impressive. That video is awesome. Number 28, Beard Meets Food. Adam is an incredible British
creator that really mixes everything between mukbang, travel, food, and eating. He literally
outbeats everybody, breaking food challenges all over the world. He's come to Florida so many times.
Dude, the way you eat is incredible. I really couldn't do that, but you know what? Maybe I'll
do it one day with you. Let's do it. Challenge you and me? Beard versus Beard? Who gets the best
beard? Number 29, Joel Hansen, another competitive eater. This guy travels all around the world
eating lots of delicious food. His Instagram is model, model literally, versus food because he's
so good looking and people say we look alike, but I'm the bald version of him. Number 30, Volpe,
where are you? Dude, where are you? I want to hang out in Miami again. What's up, man? What are you
doing? This is the classic guy who travels around the world making food travel content, but he also
travels throughout Latin America partying with really, really pretty women. He's super funny and
he's a legend. We linked up in Calcutta right when the pandemic hit and I think I beat you in the
challenge, dude. What do you think? 38? 72? What? But you are still the king of briyani, right? Number 31,
Living Bobby. 10 cents, 29 cents, 88 cents. What's up with these titles, dude? He does crazy challenges
all around the world. I especially like his $1 versus $100 videos. He's always doing crazy
unique stuff and started by doing videos in New York City. We haven't met. We've been in contact
for years. Dude, when are you coming to Miami? Number 32, Max McFarlane. I've been in contact with this guy
for years. He's been living in Vietnam, diving deep into Vietnamese culture, and he also speaks the
language. His videos about food and culture around the world are incredible. I can't believe he speaks
Vietnamese. Seriously, dude, that's amazing. One of these days we're going to collab, but I highly
recommend everybody check out his channel right now. Number 33, Gabriel Traveler. This is the coolest,
most laid-back guy you're going to meet on this list. You can always watch him walking somewhere
in the world. This guy has such a vibe. It is unparalleled. He's into nature and hiking. We met
back in 2019 in Uzbekistan, and it was such an amazing time. Gabriel, you're great. Number 34,
Sam and Audrey. These are the real OGs of vlogging. When vlogging was really vlogging. To me, they are
the best couple traveler on YouTube. They're really authentic, down-to-earth. They're Canadian, so
they're super friendly. I traveled India and Korea with Sam. We have incredible videos together. This
is my brother for life. Bro, when am I going to Argentina? Take me with you, bro. Your lumberjack
beard is beating mine for sure. The next five creators on this list are truly raw creators.
They don't go with big cameras, super small legit, and they can get into the nitty-gritty of every
country. Number 35, Timmy Carter. He is a Greek modern vlogger, and he's my boy. He's done amazing
Latin American content, and I highly recommend his Crossing the U.S. Border video. Despite the
shocking nature of his videos, he really does expose real issues, and I respect his hustle.
Keep it up, bro. Number 36, Harold Balder. Another part of the modern vloggers. I really love his
older content, but he's still around. He's a legend. His Vietnamese, Thai, and Nepalese content was
truly epic. Definitely check him out. Number 37, Chris Muslis. This guy's had a rough couple of
months in the Caribbean, but you know, he's my friend, and he's going all the way up now. He goes to places
that no one else on this list will go. When it comes down to it, he is down-to-earth and talks to
people in a different way. He connects with real people, gangs, musicians, people in the hood. Hey, bro,
why don't we get some doubles together? Or some Polaris? Number 38, Check In Effect, my Miami
brother. We've done a lot of videos together, and he really dives into the story of the people. He
talks to people. He brings an African-American perspective, which I think is super unique, which
is great to see when he travels around the world. Check next video, club. Number 39, Davud Akunzada.
If you want to see Ragnar Lothbrok traveling the whole world, check this guy out. This guy is the
man. He's Azeri. He's a creator. You know, he travels the whole world, but I specifically love his
Middle Eastern content because he speaks multiple languages. You know, he connects with the Turks,
with the Iranians, and because he speaks many languages, he can get in with the locals like no
one else can. Hey, and his name is Davud. So David, Davud, same? I think so. Number 40, Abroad in Japan.
This guy is a legend. Anything and everything you want to know about Japan, this guy has done it
beyond Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. There's literally nobody better. He dives super in-depth into Japanese
culture and destinations. Definitely check him out. He's massive. Number 41, Jamaican food boss,
Wagwan Matthew. This is the true food boss of Jamaica. We travel Kingston together, and he
truly understands his culture. This guy loves Jamaica more than Bob did. Seriously, he does. He
has such a good heart, and I'm happy to call him my friend. Number 42, Fearless and Far. My brother,
Mike Corey. I don't think there's anybody else besides Mark and Mike that I've known longer. You
know, since 2008, we've been connected, and he dives super deep now into African cultures, tribes.
His stuff is truly adventurous. Part of the most adventurous channel on YouTube. You must check him
out, and I love how he dives deep into spirituality and what is, you know, the meaning of life,
especially when he interviews tribe members and, you know, the chiefs of the tribes. Really cool
stuff, Mike. Keep it up. Number 43, Gareth Leonard. Another creator I've been in touch with for so
many years, and we still haven't met up. Why is that? Well, that said, he's doing in-depth,
day-in-the-life videos, and he's slowed down a little bit lately because he caught something in
the Amazon, and he's going through some health issues. My man, I'm wishing you speedy recovery.
I wish you nothing but the best. Hopefully, we can have a beer together soon. Check him out.
Number 44, travel with Luc Demond. I really love this guy. You know why? Because he used to comment
on my videos back when he had no subscribers. It's incredible to see the journey he's gone
through since then. This guy travels all around the world, but I love his Indian content. Every
time I see one of his videos, I want to go back to India. Luc, I'm super proud of you. Keep going,
bro. I had to sit down because the next creators are truly amazing. Number 45, Indigo Traveler.
This is a true cinematographer. Amazing edits, and some of his videos take months to create.
He has a lot of shocking content. You either love it or hate it, but you know what? I truly respect
this craft. He's a true journalist. Number 46, Karl Rock. If you need to know about scams in
India, this is your guy. He lays it down. Super humble guy, and very honest about the positives
and the negatives of both India and Pakistan. When I go back to India, this is the guy I'm
hitting up. Hey, bro, let's get some pani puri. You know I'll beat you. Challenge?
Number 47, Travel with Chris. Chris is all over the world. He is showing all walks of life,
sometimes shocking stuff, sometimes food, and he is one of the most diverse creators in that way.
From what I see in his videos, he's an extremely nice guy, and you know what? He went to Mark
Wins' restaurant. Hey, bro, was the food good? I'm sure it was spicy. Number 48, Abroad and Hungry.
Max is my Italian brother. We connected many years ago, and we saw each other in the Jakarta airport
like two years ago. This guy is amazing. He makes food and travel videos, but it's a different style.
He's very informative, and he has this Italian thing, you know? Ti voglio bene, ragazzi. Ci vediamo
presto. Number 49, Patti Doyle. I love this guy's Asian content, especially the Thai content. He is
fairly new. He started in the pandemic, but I truly believe his Asian content is some of the
best on YouTube. Number 50, Mellini Angelica. This is a young YouTube creator who is making
waves in the travel video sphere. She combines food and travel in a classic YouTube package that
I think a lot of solo female travelers will find interesting. Her content's amazing. Check her out.
And I got two bonuses for you guys. Number 51, The Food Ranger. Whoa! Trevor is one of the best on
YouTube. He is amazing. We've been in contact for so many years, and when I met with him in Dubai in
2021, we literally clicked. It's like I know this guy my whole life. He likes spicy food, and he
hasn't been posting for a while, but you know what? He's still one of my favorites. Trevor is the GOAT.
Follow him. I'm standing up for this one because it's such a doozy. Xiaoma NYC. This is my brother
from New York. We are Amazonian brothers for life. We spent many days together in the Amazon. We've
connected in New York. He is the mix of travel, food, and language. He really has changed the way
I see my own language skills. Now I'm implementing my French, my Italian, my Spanish thanks to this
guy. Xiao, you are truly amazing. And Ari, thank you for connecting me with my brother John from West
Virginia. So when we collabing again? Next time Peruvian Amazon? So that's it. The top 50 food
and travel YouTubers you must check out right now in 2024. So much has changed since the last time
I did this list in 2019, but as somebody who's been doing this for way too long, it's really
incredible to see how the genre keeps changing. It truly lifts my heart to see the new energy,
creative spirit, and hard work of creators pushing the envelope of what food and travel can be. There
are a ton of creators who didn't make this list. I can go up to a hundred. So make sure to keep an
open mind and check out the other amazing creators out there. Do make sure to support the creators
in this list with a subscribe, smash that like button, turn on all notifications, and show some
love. I love you all. And with that said, who knows where food and travel will be in a decade
with AI, VR? I'm excited to find out. Let's see.
