Half a Million Dollar EARTH ROAMER Showed Up At MY SHOP My Van Life

What's up you guys my name is chrome and I live in my mercedes sprinter van with my two bulldogs Which are still in bed here this morning So today what I was thinking about doing which we have never done on this channel Is bring you guys into one of my crazy days of me living in my van While running a business so we are gonna have a combination of both So just so you guys know the business is van toys off-road It also has its own channel which you guys can keep track and follow what we're doing over there on that channel But today this is just the reality of the van life that I live myself Personally till last night. We didn't get out of the shop till late So I slept outside the shop last night my guy that works here Daryl is already inside the shop working on a customer's rear differential right now Um, I have some orders and stuff. I have to send out here this morning And also we have a subscriber of this channel who's popping by today in their earth roamer So i'm pretty stoked to get the camera in there and show you guys that I guess they imported a used earth roamer and I personally myself have never been inside of an earth roamer If you don't know what an earth roamer is stick around it's coming up. So welcome to a Welcome to a little piece of my crazy van life Yep, that's my snuggle squad and that's my office and believe it or not I spend more time at the office inside of my home than I do inside the office that's in my shop Just going through some emails right now and we got an email from olivia with a video I just got this package and i'm really excited to open it And i'm freaking out and I got home from school But I can't say that to me and I started freaking out and I jumped up and down and I think the house Shook because how loud I screamed so i'm gonna open it because i'm freaking out five two I love it that i'm on the tv A lot of stickers mom. So we met olivia when we did a big van gathering out in ontario They came up here. I can't believe they're from pennsylvania something like that They came up from the states. She had two different color converse on and uh, yeah, it was so cute We sent her a huge Care package, uh when we were blowing out all of our vansity van life stuff. I have one in my van Uh another order here from sean in victoria He is getting a nomadic arc skylight the same one that's in my van outside I love this, especially if they're a subscriber of the channel. We don't have a booth yet, but we are designing a booth for the west coast van fest That's coming up And um, yeah, we're hoping to get the mock-up of that booth in in uh, probably by the end of this week Hopefully it's gonna be super bright, okay, don't go overboard on this this was just a Rough mock-up from here. We're doing the final touches on the design So right there so you guys you can tell that's not the logo up there It's got like some kind of a minivan in it But this was just a rough color markup van toys lifted vans lifted rvs So it'll be pretty close to this minus some obviously logo changes and a few other things But yeah, that'll be our trade show booth Go big or go home, right? All right, so we have to order some stickers, but I have to finalize a sticker for this channel So we've got this sticker getting made for the festival so we can have a west coast van Van fest sticker and we also need this one done up dun dun Our very first chrome project um design Didn't get stickers ordered Daryl just ran out to make a parts run and just text me That he just drove past the earth roamer that's on its way to the shop. All right, we had some subscribers the other day Send us through some stuff One thing was from nomad slippery pole That was pepperoni. And i'm not sure if this is gonna work on mine It's just a vinyl grab handle Yeah, i'm not sure if the mercedes sprinter has holes that are already pre-factory done But man, if that fits leo super rad, so thank you for sending through the gifts and i'm hungry. Yeah, so here my end game's always been like a huge military vehicle of some kind or something like this Like once i'm bored of all this stuff Then it's the end one the one I drive out Into the woods with forever. We were looking at some of those big six by sixes. Oh, yeah Harbour ponds you can't get them into north america or canada. Yeah At least you guys don't take up much hallway space. Hey, yeah, they're skinny little guys He's so cute Hey, this is our rig I like it look at the size of that bed in this thing. It's huge big king-sized bed It's got a cool tv setup that you can uh, swing the tv out It swings out all the way over here. Yeah, and then it drops down and then you push it against the window That's perfect. Yeah, that little space is nice in there. Oh, yeah the back seat out. Yeah, uh, I made a Little home for the dogs. That's perfect Yeah, that's awesome Yeah, the dogs would love that Yeah, right, this is a earth warmer and they're meticulous work you see their electronics And they're wiring Oh, wow, this is why they're so expensive. Yeah stuff like this. It's the material they use the wood they use Everything about it. Everything is integrated in this thing between the house and the truck So it makes hot water while you're driving, of course makes electricity while you're driving. So you've got solar you've got yeah Um The uh hot water will heat the engine on a cold day keep the engine warm It's diesel and you want to keep the oil warm Uh, it's everything is integrated so well That you don't have to worry about anything. You just have to Basically just you know, make sure your batteries don't go flat. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Yeah Yeah, that's a quite the control center. Yeah Yeah, they don't mess around. No kidding. They mean business Wow, those are really cool blue sea setup, I like it kind of starling dish stuck to the um Yeah, i've seen that before That's it. It's a cool idea. Yeah, i've seen that i've seen one other van did that. I'm like, oh that's smart. Yeah Yeah works pretty well suction cups on there It's got a pantry Nice little pantry in here This is usually the coffee maker for most people but we don't use that one thing I like about even looking at even some of The newer earthroamer setups is how they have like all their dishes and everything's all meticulous. Well, it's all set up quite So that it doesn't rattle when you're driving. So we're off road, you know, we don't hear anything Wow, you know, it's so nice to actually see this because now I know how they do it. That's simple Yeah, not too not too difficult. Is it? No, like I wasn't sure how they did it But now to know yeah, i'm gonna send this to andy. Yeah. Oh, yeah, you guys can make that easy. Yeah Don't tell earthroamer Here's their cutlery So if he's got a cnc machine you can so nothing rattles while you're driving is there foam in there too, yeah How's it foam embedded in the side piece a little rubber piece in there? Yeah, andy andy Oh, that's just rubber in there, yeah See, that's what I want because like that's my biggest thing in the van. Is it just rattles? Yeah, so here's the knives and there's magnets in there to hold the knives in place Oh Too I like this idea. Yeah Yeah, because if you've been watching my videos you see I pull up the earthroamer picture once in a while I'm like that like those dishes. Yeah back here, it's just a big cupboard That's a lot of storage in here and then all the drawers Uh, and then in here is the bathroom if you can get in there With a shower. Hey, yeah, it's nice even for someone my size I can shower in there Okay, I mean I got to keep my elbows in yeah It's nice to have a little vent in there elbow room a little baby sink. Yeah, it's the cutest. Yeah Yeah, I can't use a sink Can't get in there. Yeah, that's awesome. We just replaced this fan with the new max air Yeah, so that you can leave it open when it's raining. Yeah, otherwise they close you can't get the moisture out of here Uh, the old one then it's just like the one there. It's the same thing there, right? Yeah Yeah that all the drawers by the door. That's Yeah lots of uh drawer space Behind here is the air conditioner. Yeah Your little bow sound system. Does that come with it too in there? Yeah, I don't use it. It was obsolete. So But yeah, it's it's this is 10 years old, right? Yeah Yeah, this is such a cool rig even the pots These pots here are all those nesting pots. Yeah, but if you look at the very bottom of this this cabinet They've even put a space in there so these don't move I like that pot idea everything fits in there doesn't move It's one thing about this thing man They thought about that stuff like every time every time I see the dishes one with a clear front i'm like, oh man Yeah, yeah. Well, they also have this section here is got a glass piece and you put wine bottles. Yeah Uh, we quit drinking a few years ago, so we didn't really need the space anymore But that gives us so much more room now in here. Yeah for storage. You can go all the way over here now Yeah, so our laundry baskets were wine used to be a full size mirror better but Something about like I seen you drive by I could hear you. I can hear your tires and you slow down That's why we don't like to have on the highway, yeah, that's why we drive with a dirt road as much as we can Having a king-sized bed With the three dogs. Yeah. Yeah, that's great I know i'm i'm in a double-sized bed with two fab bulldogs that you know Don't care about my space in there whatsoever. I don't believe in personal space. No Summer much but I put slides in for our stove. Yeah Barbecue out here. We need to we have not much of that And I love it. I'll do this. This is the real part. I like look at all this stuff Look at all these scratches That says this bad boy is not a pavement princess. Yeah, we saw you doing your uh, Test on the side the other day when you were worried about the scratches on yours and I was thinking about yeah Ours is plenty scratched. Yeah, it's really hard to listen to when it's happening Yeah, especially when you you first get the scratches like so the one that the guy that owned it before you were they this adventurous? Yeah, that's the mean like you see these rigs sometimes and they don't go anywhere. Yeah, you know what I mean? This one's not sitting in a parking lot all the time. Yeah You take it out there. We actually took it out. Um Down into the desert and it threw El Camino del diablo, which is a big long thing in arizona and The copra wilderness and all over the place like i've said on my channel many times before i'm like always Poke fun at some of the mercedes guys because you see them in town and they're kitted out That thing is the most craziest backcountry thing you've ever seen And there's no dirt on it never been a speck of dirt on it Definitely not a scratch on it and you'd never see them in the bush. It's like why would you go to the extreme? To do this or a fully dialed out mercedes and not go have fun in it. What's the point? Yeah, sometimes here I don't like it when we get too many visitors around the shop because it takes away from me making videos But when you got a cool rig like this, you're welcome by my shop anytime As long as I can run my camera and I can film our interaction and show the world your rad rig Bring it on. There's one thing left on my list to do last thing on my list Tidy the upstairs up a little bit It's not so bad up here. It has been worse for sure in the past right now, it's just uh A few things that we can take downstairs. Hopefully we won't be needing these again for a minute Oh, it's been a while since this table has been cleared off I would definitely like to find a way to make this a nicer part of the Upstairs here because it is a wire mess Everything's hanging out here all this stuff underneath here doesn't need to be there. We could take it off But I was chatting with andy from overland interiors the other day and andy was asking me About maybe building a dj booth up here at some point for me so I think maybe uh when he comes out to our van life festival He's going to be here too That maybe i'll get him to measure out all of this stuff and we'll come up with a really cool design plan And get andy to make me something super rad for up here I think it'd be awesome to have something beautiful. Oh But I think having myself a nice great big club style dj booth back here with some lights and stuff mounted Would be pretty freaking sick, right with proper speakers and some nah, it's a van life channel chrome. Come on now That's uh It's my happy spot up here in the shop when we built the shop I added everything to the shop that I missed in my van life like a big fat tv I washed all the doggie toys today Even though they got super nice clean toys Where'd they all go? We'll see Whatever that guy is look mixi all nice and clean See, they're all fresh Yay Too many to choose from This guy no, we're gonna wash these ones Are you gonna pick up all your toys those are all yours Not mixis. Don't even look at her. These are yours. They were here before she was You know clean some of these up Put them in the bucket Well, at least it's a little bit better up here if we plug away a tiny little bit more every day This place will get back to being all pristine all the time Come get come get some treats. So, uh now that I got my energy back I don't know what happened a few days ago. My body just went I'm feeling better now and uh, all my energy is back. I feel great We're vibrating from like 8 in the morning to like 10 at night things have been so good Uh for me, so yeah, if I can plug away at this a little bit more every day We'll finally get everything in here back in order that way It looks good when we're filming on the van toys channel in the shop here on camera without it being you know clutter around It's different when you're working on a project there's an air b air locker right there It's different when you're working on a project and you got to mess around the project fine but when I have a ruckus going on like That which is getting better A little bit more at a time.
