Your baby won't stop crying? You've fed them, changed them, checked everything twice - and they're STILL going?
In this video, I'm showing you the Flex and Hold Position - a simple technique that combines THREE powerful comfort triggers to help settle your crying newborn fast.
Here's what you'll learn:
✅ The exact step-by-step position that calms crying babies
✅ Why this works when nothing else does (the science is fascinating!)
✅ How to combine movement, white noise, and self-soothing for maximum effect
✅ When to use this technique (and when NOT to)
Remember: Your baby isn't broken. You're not failing. Sometimes they just need a little extra help finding their calm - and this position gives them exactly that.
Just give me 60 seconds and I'll show you the position that can stop your newborn's tears.
It's called the flex and hold position and here's exactly how you do it.
First, face your baby outwards with their back against your chest,
letting them lean forward slightly.
Then, bring their arms together so their hands are near their mouth
and hold them there with one hand.
With your other hand, bring their legs up towards their chest.
Then, start bouncing up and down really gently.
And if they're still crying, start shushing.
Match the volume of their cry and then gradually get quieter as they settle.
When you do this, you're giving them three comfort triggers at once.
Movement, white noise and the ability to self-soothe by sucking their hand.
So, the next time your newborn is crying and you've ruled out hunger,
tiredness and discomfort, give the flex and hold position a try.
Some babies settle in seconds, others need a few minutes and both are completely normal.
Your baby isn't broken and you're not failing.
Sometimes they just need a little bit of extra help finding their calm
and now you know exactly how to give them that.
