In today's video, we'll talk about times when suspects overpowered police officers.
First, we'll look at a case where a suspect was so strong that the officer had to call for backup.
On February 10th, 2022, a police officer approached a man who had been reported for
committing a crime. However, the officer soon realised that this man was not an ordinary person.
The suspect got into a fighting position, ready for a serious confrontation.
Get on the ground! Get on the ground now!
Do you hear me? Get on the ground now!
Dispatch's suggestion for the officers to wait for backup was a great idea, especially
since the suspect was clearly stronger than them at that moment.
With backup officers now on the scene, the police had the upper hand, with four officers
present.
But the situation was about to become even more intense.
Finally, the suspect was apprehended and charged
with multiple offenses.
While it took four officers to detain this man, the next suspect needed at least ten
officers to be stopped.
On May 8, 2022, while patrolling, an officer in Kamak Village noticed a barefoot man putting
caution cones on the road.
When Officer Josh got closer to ask what was happening, the situation quickly became very
The suspect didn't follow Officer Josh's instructions
and that started a big confrontation.
He dropped his taser, accidentally shocked himself, broke his radio and couldn't handle
the situation.
Luckily, a chief who was off-duty showed up and took charge.
Finally, Officer Josh got through to call for backup.
Even with more officers, they couldn't control him, so they had to bring in the whole team
to handle the situation.
The suspect was charged with two counts of first-degree battery and disorderly conduct.
In our next case, a pregnant officer was brutally attacked by the suspect.
In the scorching heat of August 3, 2023, a courageous pregnant police officer in New
Mexico intercepted a distressing radio call, a carjacked SUV on the loose.
Disregarding the peril, she swiftly launched into pursuit.
As she closed in on the suspect, he detected her presence and recklessly shifted into reverse,
ramming her patrol car repeatedly in a desperate bid to shake her off.
With nerves of steel, she held her ground, refusing to yield.
The expecting cop faced a tough spot as the suspect closed in, but just when things seemed
dire, an unlikely hero appeared, shining a beacon of hope.
Stop! Don't ******* do it!
Cut it out, cut it out, cut it out!
Thank you!
Stop, stop, he's trying to...
Stop!
No, he's trying to grab my gun!
Get the other clip, get the other clip!
You ************!
I'm gonna ******* take you!
I got him, I got him!
I'm gonna ******* take you!
Cut it out, cut the **** out!
What's your problem?
Stop resisting!
Cut it out!
The officer got the suspect in handcuffs, but only with their hands in front, because the suspect was fighting back.
Then, a male backup officer showed up, and things changed for the better.
Shut up!
He broke my unit.
Shut up!
I checked him for weapons.
I'm pregnant.
So I need to...
The dangerous suspect was caught, and was dealing with a lot of charges.
If found guilty, he could spend his whole life in prison.
The next person we're looking into thinks he's really strong, because he has a black belt.
Let's see what happens next.
Come on, ************!
You think I can't do it?
I've got a black belt in karate!
On May 9th, 2023, a Port Orange police officer responded to a call from a store owner
about a man causing trouble and scaring customers.
When the officer arrived and prepared to confront the suspect,
he didn't know he was going to be dealing with the self-acclaimed expert martial artist.
I'm here because the employee in the smoke shop behind me says that you've been coming in and out and bothering her and the customers.
No, no, no.
She told me to be quiet and leave.
Okay, well, she says you've been in and out multiple times, and you won't leave the place alone.
So, hang on, let me talk.
Let me talk.
It's not a debate or a negotiation, okay?
No, no, no.
You are now trespassing the store, which means you cannot go in there anymore.
Do you understand that?
Okay, all right.
Then she'll have to put my stuff outside then.
What stuff?
I have $2,000 worth of merchandise that she's holding.
No, she said that she rung my stuff up for you, and you never bought it.
Go ask her right now!
Go ask her, you ************!
Come over here, and I'll get the **** out of you!
Come on, ************!
You think I can't do it?
You don't want to do this.
You understand you're trespassing the store, correct?
Okay.
You understand you're trespassing the store, correct?
Okay.
I'm 12 feet away from you, not in your face at all.
The police officer had finished talking to the suspect and said everything he needed to.
But then, the suspect decided to do something unexpected.
Okay.
Go ahead, arrest me! Arrest me!
Wait a minute!
No, no, put your hands behind your back.
Okay, okay!
Put your hands behind your back right now.
You're under arrest.
Put your other hand behind your back right now.
Okay!
Right now!
Put your other hand behind your back!
Jesus Christ!
Put your hand behind your back right now.
You don't have to be so rough!
Sit up.
Okay!
Sit up.
Okay!
Jesus!
The I.F.I. sent you.
You're under arrest.
You need to contact the assault battery.
Oh, this is another one of those suits.
I'm suing you for a million.
Ten million.
Whatever.
Wait until my lawyer gets a hold of this, Judge.
I'll be out in 30 minutes.
Okay.
Face the car right here.
Alright, alright, alright!
Spread your feet.
Wide.
Spread your feet.
Wider than that.
Even wider.
Spread your feet.
Alright!
Right now, you're under arrest for battery on a law enforcement officer for throwing
something at me.
The suspect thought he knew martial arts, but the officer quickly handled him without
any trouble.
I can't believe it.
The last thing I wanted to do was get arrested and go back to jail.
Then you shouldn't have thrown something at a police officer.
You're an idiot for doing that.
Well, I'll never do it again.
I guarantee you that.
Well, sometimes that's not true.
His apology didn't help, and he got arrested for attacking a cop.
In our next case, we meet Michael Bishop, a tough guy who wasn't affected by tasers.
Put your hands behind your back.
What did I do?
Put your hands behind your back.
For what?
Ah, Jesus Christ!
What the f*** did I do?
On May 22nd, 2022, cops were called to a bar because a guy found out his friend and girlfriend
were cheating.
When the officer went up to him, something unbelievable happened.
I don't know what's going on.
I'm still trying to.
Guys, the bottom line is...
Why don't we stand up here where it's not raining?
Because I don't care.
Listen, you got Blondie.
I got a 911 call here.
I'm not playing games.
I want to know what's going on.
I ask you nicely to stand up out of the rain.
You want to f*** with me, dude?
Here.
That's it.
Go ahead.
What are you doing, dude?
Put your hands behind your back.
I'm not doing nothing.
Put your hands behind your back.
Right now or you're getting tased.
I'm not doing nothing.
Hands behind your back.
I'm not doing nothing.
Hands behind your back.
What am I doing?
Put your hands behind your back.
It's nothing.
Put your hands behind your back right now.
For what?
You're under arrest for resisting.
I'm not resisting anything.
The suspect quickly made things worse and soon found out that it's not smart to mess with the police.
You did.
Get on the ground right now.
Buddy, I just want to go home.
Get on the ground right now.
For what?
Back up.
On the ground.
For what?
Get on the ground.
What did I do?
Put your hands behind your back.
Buddy, what did I do?
Put your hands behind your back right now.
For what?
Ah, Jesus Christ.
What the f*** did I do?
On the ground.
Stop.
What did I do?
Get down on the ground.
What did I do?
Get on the ground now.
What did I do?
I told you to get on the f***ing ground.
After what he went through, the suspect knew it was crucial to follow the officer's instructions
without any reminders. The police caught the suspect, but during the arrest, the officer
got pepper sprayed. The cops were lucky that the tough suspect didn't try to attack them,
but in the next case, the suspect grabbed the police officers throat and pulled him
alongside his car. Canton police officers pulled over a car on 12th Street near the
1000 block as part of their regular checks. Here you can see that the driver, 32-year-old
Pratt of Akron, is refusing to listen to the officers. One officer's body camera footage
reveals the fight between the suspect and another officer. In the video, you can clearly
see Pratt and the other officer in a choke hold. This is a look at the officer in a choke
hold body cam while he's being restrained. You can hear Pratt turning on his vehicle
then saying, the officer answers. The cop's camera caught him trying to use his taser
on Pratt, but it didn't work, according to the police. Then you hear the truck's engine
revving as it speeds off. Pratt still had a hold on the officer as the truck drove away.
The truck stopped not far away in a yard on Pratt Drive. When the cops fired a shot, Pratt
said he'd cooperate. Only then did he put his hands up and get on the ground so the
