Then comes Vantastic, racing in mid-pack, just in front of Hot Rocket. It's another couple of lengths back to Russell's Hustle, who is saving ground on the inside of Cathal. Two more lengths back to Zalamo, and then it's Kawasaki and a long way to Maniattic. They have less than a half mile to go, and the lead belongs to Pioneer Prince, Jimmy Blue Jeans a length back second, then Jeweled Shillelagh in third. They're followed by Agis, three off the pace in fourth. Vantastic takes fifth, getting the best of JT's watch as they move around the far turn. Another couple of lengths. Cathal is called on hard now, starting to make some headway. He's eight lengths off the lead, racing two lengths in front of Hot Rocket with a quarter of a mile to go, and Zalamo is starting to kick in. He's got 10 to make up inside the final eighth of a mile. Pioneer Prince clinging to a narrow lead. Here's Agis coming to him, Jimmy Blue Jeans in between them, and the 10-year-old Vantastic means business, and it's coming hard now. Agis or Vantastic.
