Hi! Welcome back to Raising Japanese. This is Yuki. In this clip, I would like to show you
how to fold a traditional paper crane. You just need an origami paper. You first fold into
mountain triangle and again into smaller triangle and make sure you make crease well.
And this way, let's see. You have one pocket here and one pocket here. First, put your hand
into first pocket like this and then you need to match this line and this line on top. So,
press it down and make a crease like this and flip this over and along this line crease,
fold this triangle over this side. This makes next step easy.
Okay, now there is a pocket. You put your hand in and same way this line and match with this line
on top and fold. Alright, now there is center line and from this side you're gonna fold
but this center line and this line you need to match them. In this side, you need to match this
line with this line. Flip this over and the same thing, exactly same thing. Match this center line
with this line and same way. Match center line in this line and open these and fold this mountain
down like this so that you can make triangle like this and along this line that you just made,
you need to open this up like this and match this line with the center line.
So, like this. You can use your nail. Okay, now flip this over, open these doors
and fold along this line toward you like this and along this line, you need to open up
and same thing. Match this center line with this line. So, let's see like this
and like and the same way for the other side. Match the center line with this side line and
this is leg. Okay, now you need to fold one more time. Let's see here. Center line and this line
you need to match again like this all the way down. Make sure it becomes very nice.
Okay, and the same thing. Center line and this side line. Okay, now flip this over
and exactly same step. Match this center line with this side line and center line and this side
line. Okay, so now it's like this and exactly same. Okay, now you need to flip. There are two,
one, two, two tubs. So, you need to fold one toward your right and then make a nice crease
and flip this over. Again, exactly same step. There are one, two, three now but take the very top one
and then turn it to the right. Turn to the right like this and then make a nice crease.
So, there is one and there is one. Now, if you see there is a line here.
So, you need to fold this bottom part up along that line and of course flip this over
and exactly same. Now, there are one, two tubs. So, you need to fold one of them, the top one
toward right and flip this over and then there are one, two, three tubs. So, you need to fold
the very top one to the right like this. This is almost done. Now, if you open, these are the
wings. If you open the wing a little bit, don't make a crease. There are two. One is tail,
one is head. It doesn't matter which one. You just decide. I will make this one into head.
So, there is a valley in here. You press from the top and with your nail you make a valley into here
and fold it like this. Okay, looks like this. Okay and then at the end you pull gently
toward left and right slowly, slowly, slowly. Okay and it becomes like this.
The crane. Ta-da! There's one and there is two. Oops and there is. This traditional paper crane
doesn't flip its wings. I will try to make another clip for the crane which flip its wings
in the future. Thank you for watching!
