Here goes Vollering. It's time to see if she can put some distance between herself and all of her rivals. All of a sudden Kopecky is seeing a small gap open up. Yeah and she's got great cadence too. You just see it's normal at Ferrand-Prevot. She's always pushed those slightly bigger gears. She's doing that now that she's doing it under duress. Vollering is on top of the gear. She's in a really good rhythm. She'll probably be hearing in race radio or maybe not. She probably possibly can't hear anything at the moment. She's just going to go full gas to the top and that's probably the first time she'll take a look over her shoulder. It's huge crowds on the side of the road as they watch Demi Vollering go solo. She's opened up a big gap too. Hasn't she already? It looked like it was Puck Pieterse just getting on to the wheel of Ferrand-Prevot. So it's going to be two potentially chasing one but this is a huge gap. This is the race that stops the nation in Belgium. She hails from just across the border in the Netherlands. The nation that has been dominating women's cycling for decades and Vollering has risen to the top yet again. The European champion is the Flanders champion.
