Yue - STAGE THREADS Ep. 17

Usually when you wear skirts, you don't have any pockets, so it's really good to put my USBs in. I just really like weird, colorful makeup. I just love shorts, skirts, and girly things, really. Hi, I'm Jure. I'm a DJ and producer from the Netherlands, and I'm currently on tour with Fox Stevenson and The Light Band. And we're out here in Chicago today, and I'm going to be showing you some of the clothes that I brought on tour. And yeah, I'm really excited to show you my stuff. I love fashion. I love music just a little bit more, but I'm just really excited to show you what I brought with me. And let's do it. So first, this is one of my favorite outfits that I brought. It's from a small designer, a European designer. It's called Defy. I just really like moving parts on stage. And this is a skirt, but it has shorts, which is amazing because I'm really tall, and short shorts stuff tends to be a little bit tricky. But yeah, I just love wearing this outfit. It's quite new, so I've only worn it like once or twice, but I'll definitely be wearing this more on tour. And if we move on to this one, this is a skirt from Jaded London, which is a brand from London. And yeah, again, I just love short skirts and girly things, really. So this is also one of my favorite outfits. This shirt is actually not that special in comparison to other things. It's just a see-through, very see-through thing. So I like to wear something really colorful underneath it to make it pop. I just really like wearing contrasting and colorful things, especially on the top half of my body. Because if you're behind a DJ set up, then you don't see a lot of the pants. I mostly wear them for myself, but colorful stuff usually works well. And that's why I've got like bright hair and stuff. Yeah, I just like to make it pop a little bit. That's part of it. And if you move on to this outfit, this one is quite special to me because I released a song not too long ago called Break It Down. And I wore this outfit as the promo shoot for it. And we did like a little video and stuff. I had a big pink hammer and it was all super girly and cute. But yeah, so these shorts are again from Jaded London, the same brand as this. And this corset top is from Selkie, which is one of my favorite brands ever. It's super girly and cute. Here we have a really cute top. I bought this on the last USA tour that we did with Fox Steven Life Band. And Fox Steven actually got this for me. And yeah, I just really like it. It's a little bit less girly than most of the things I wear, but it obviously has pink and a really big flower on it. So it will do. And then if we move on to this outfit, again, a really short skirt, as I do, from Misbehave, which is also a brand I really like. Then I have this super interesting belt from Personsew. I haven't worn this yet, so I'm really excited to wear it. It's also great because it has loads of pockets and things. And usually when you wear skirts, you don't have any pockets. So it's really good to put my USBs in. So what I also really like about this belt thing is that it has all these flowing tassels will just move around because I dance a lot on stage and it will just look nice if things move around. Paired with that is a really cute little top with a little heart cut out. Very girly. And then if you move on to these pants, these are from a brand called Desiguo. I think it's a Spanish brand. These are great because I am really tall and these pants are really long and they have lots of pockets and lots of pink. All things that I like. So they're great. And then we have another outfit. Again, short skirt and a little corset style top that matches it. It's all the same brand. And then I like to wear these super fluffy leg warmers, which are great right now because it's currently very, very cold. And yeah, wearing these on stage makes me feel a little more comfortable. The brand on this for this set is Opoly. And then another short skirt from Opoly again. This one is really cute because it has this super dramatic long bow on it again, which is really flowy and cute on stage. And yeah, as you can see, I quite like big bows. And then I wear that with a top that's actually part of the same set that I'm wearing right now. It's a really cute little tube top with matching sleeves. I really like this. And then we have another corset style top. Bright with flowers from the brand Desigio again. Yeah, I like flowers a lot as well. My real name is actually Fleur, which means flowery in French. So I like flowery things as well. Pants. I don't know, blue pants. And then these are my holster bags, which I absolutely love. They're just really easy to throw on every outfit. And they are pockets, so I just put my USB sticks and lip gloss, my phone, whatever I need on stage will be in these. And I wear those a lot. They go with every outfit. So at home, my fashion sense is a little bit different than what I do on stage, especially while we're on tour. And things are really, really cold. I just like to wear tracksuits and layers. This morning, I woke up in two pairs of pants and this thermal shirt and a lot of sweater, hoodie, jacket. It was really, really cold. But yeah, at home, I still like color in my day-to-day outfits. So I won't be wearing, I don't know, a gray tracksuit. It will be something with color or something. I like being a little extra at home anyway, but definitely a bit more comfortable and a little less short than what I wear on stage. If we talk about my jewelry, my DJ name is Yue, and that means moon in Chinese. So I always wear little moon. I have a few different moon necklaces, but this one is new and I really like it. And then if we talk about my rings, these are all really special to me. This ring, my mother gave to me on my 21st birthday. And this one, my boyfriend, Fox Stevenson, gave to me a few years ago on holiday. And then this one, my father gave to me as well as this one and this one. And then these and these I bought for myself and I wear these pretty much every day. Yeah, they're always the same, really. So my hands are usually like this. So I only brought one pair of shoes on this tour and it's not these shoes. My shoes are actually in the bus right now and they are so cold. I didn't think about how cold it was going to be on tour. So Stan Fox Stevenson was kind enough to lend me a pair of his shoes. We accidentally have the same size, so that works out really, really well. I actually think these are really nice. They're really cute with the little rainbow and they're super comfortable and a lot warmer than my own shoes. So I'm really happy that he lent me these. All right, so if we go to makeup, I had to pack as little as I could for this tour. So it's all a bit compressed, a bit packed down, but I do really like to wear colorful things. Like I like to wear colorful outfits as well. So we got some pink eyeshadow, pink and yellow and orange, all colors that I really like. The brand on this is Beauty Bay, which is a British brand. Yeah, they just have really nice quality eyeshadows. Affordable too, which I also like. So I have another palette here, and this is from the brand called Juvia's Place. Just a bit more neutral colors, not completely, but I mostly wear this shade on the inside of my eyes to make it pop a little bit and then mix with all the other colors. Yeah, I just, I really enjoy doing my makeup and I've mostly been doing it on the bus while it's driving, which is a little bit challenging sometimes, but it's good. It's like my little pre-show ritual really, just getting into full makeup and everything. So yeah, one more thing that I find really important, I have really dry skin. So what I need to do before doing makeup is hydrating. This is my holy grail really. It's just a little face cream and it will make my skin a lot happier if I put that on before my makeup. Yeah. Oh, we have one more little eyeshadow thing here. This is from NABA and these are really cool. I'm going to put it on my hand. These are super shiny and they are like a duochrome and I love this color in particular. It's so cool. I just really like weird, colorful makeup. So this is perfect for me. My new track, Not Alone, just came out and I've been enjoying playing it out so much. It seems like some of you already know the lyrics to it and I'm just super excited to see that.
