I'm going to show you this Royal Albert teacup and saucer. 3250 is the pattern reference. Early piece
often confused this design and colour combination with the Regal series which were introduced in
about 1962 through to mid-1970s but this as you can tell is an earlier version.
1940s shape Montrose cup not quite as fully bulging as the later Montrose introduced in 62
but nonetheless spectacular. Gold filigree with border design on a quite rich and bright green
underglaze on the lower. It's a lot for this really isn't it. There's the Royal Albert China
mark Bone China England 3250 decorators number applied on there. Really rich thick gilt around
the handle just look at that beautiful scroll arch supported handle Montrose shape coming up to this
horizontally scalloped you see the way it curves around here on the outer edge but there's no
on the top it's absolutely flat beautiful thing nicely conserved not absolutely perfect there are
a few little as you quite often get on these green ground backgrounds little marks and
imperfections in it and that's more notable on the actual saucer where you can actually see
some soot inclusions and where the glaze hasn't taken fully but nonetheless a nice piece with
good decoration and good glaze reflection as you can see again this piece with matching
Royal Albert Bone China marks on the base. A very nice set quite rare to find it in as brighter
condition as this. I think we have got one additional teacup but the saucer has obviously
gone astray over it's probably coming up for 70 to 80 years that this has been in somebody's
collection. A nice piece rare to the market 3250 pattern reference number not to be confused with
the Regal series which is much later but it would mix and match with those extremely well and just
the one duo available from the Vintage and Antiques website we'll pop a link in the description below
