Haaland hat-trick sends City through 🤩 | Manchester City (4-0) Liverpool | Emirates FA Cup 2025-26

It's been a decent start here for Liverpool as they try and stop Manchester City reaching the eighth semi-final in a row. Ekotika, here's Bierce, back to Ekotika, chance! Wide it went, but it was a chance. Good build-up, he was onside, despite Manchester City's appeals. Just lent the ball into Bierce, got it back again, shooting opportunity. Couldn't get it on target. Here's good thinking from the goalkeeper, he sent Salah away. Mo Salah, good use of the body, holds on to it. Oh, Mo Salah with a short, with a score on short. Just allowed Kusinov to get back at him. Gets away, found by the goalkeeper. Used his body well, and there he takes the extra touch and the chance he's got. On the week that he announced he was leaving Liverpool. One of his best days behind the opportunity so far. Mo Salah, Mo Salah's line. Look, Jones is in there. He's set that up well. He's come here to Ekotika. It came off, Rodri to it. Rodri's furious at the lack of concentration at the back for Manchester City. Ekotika should have scored, slammed it. Slammed it wide. Liverpool could have had a couple of goals so far. Eight minutes before the break. Don't think he can have any complaints. Just clips him as he turns, chipped him up. There is contact. Lovely turn by O'Reilly, you can see the contact there, that's a penalty. This season. Puts Manchester City ahead. Just loves scoring goals. Goal-scoring machine gets his 31st of the campaign. Stuttering the run there. And Mamadashvili went the wrong way. 1-0 Manchester City. Cherki was a lovely ball. Oh, so is that. Harlan, that's a brilliant goal. Time for Liverpool to concede a second. But it was brilliantly worked. Cherki, lovely way to the pass. Semenya precise, that's a fantastic header. He now has four goals against Liverpool this season. Hailing hard. 2-0 Manchester City at the break. Liverpool need to hold firm here. And here's Semenya in behind. It's a lovely finish and it's 3-0. And they carve through Liverpool as if they weren't there. From a Liverpool throw they shouldn't concede. It was a poor throw-out. O'Reilly in, lovely pass by Cherki. Where's Kerkes there? Appealing from offside, he was nowhere. And a lovely finish. 50 minutes on the clock. And Manchester City are 3-0 up. And this tie surely is done and dusted. What a start he's made to his Manchester City career. Salah, he's in behind here. Can he get a shot on goal? Well, he improvised. It was a bad effort to come for Mo Salah. Poked it outside of the foot. Silva, he wants it again. He's played a major role again. The club say that'll be his 12th. And a lovely build-up once again. Liverpool caught high and square. Mismatched. Defensively they've been horrible at times. O'Reilly's been terrific. And a brilliant finish because he had to reach for it. Manchester City 4-0 Liverpool. Manchester City have put them to the sort. Harlan gets his 33rd goal in all for Manchester City this season. Liverpool playing for pride now. Fierce. Ooh, that's a penalty. Yes, it is. Looked a Stonewall one to me. I don't know what he's doing trying to tackle like that, Nunes. Salah, can he redeem his day with a goal? Makes the save. And it's a sad, sad way for Mo Salah to exit the FA Cup. This'll be his last tie in it. And his penalty is saved. A horrible day for Liverpool. Manchester City march on to Wembley in the semi-final.
