Kenny Chesney - When I See This Bar (Official Live Audio) ft. Eric Church
Four months ago I released an album about a lot of my friends that are here tonight,
about all the free-spirited souls that color outside the lines of their life
down in the islands, and there are a lot of them here tonight celebrating the end of the tour with
us. And I want to introduce a person who I think that is going to play this football stadium by
himself one day, Mr. Eric Church. Give it up!
Well I see the souls of so many free, and I see a song back here again,
where sandy floors and ceilin' fans rush to fire in a one-man band of songs
Fill my memories like a teardrop, that's what I see when I see this ball
I see tourists at Christmas time, and I taste beer with a hint of lye
I feel lonely cause it's not the same, different faces and different names
Livin' like pirates out amongst them Foxburst stars, that's what I see when I see this ball
Pieces of our past slowly slip away, but time just stands still when I walk in this place
I see a kid comin' into his own, and a man learnin' to move on, somehow tryin' to find his way
The sun is followin' his heart, yeah that's what I see when I see, when I see, when I see this ball
Pieces of our past just stand still when I walk in this place
I wonder where we go from here, that's what I see when I see this ball
Life ain't over but it's always near, that's what we've had
Oh, we're gonna turn this into a revival tonight. That was the single radio edit, and we thought
that since we were in New England once again, that it's only fitting to sing the album version
tonight. So here we go. A few have moved on back to Maine, Jacksonville and Key Biscayne
Some are still livin' the dream, stuck in still life it seems, no matter where they've been
or where they are, yeah I see them here, when I see this ball, I wonder where we go from here
That's what it is, thinkin' about this ball, makes me happy and it makes me sad
