Hello and welcome.
Today we will talk about some things we can do with children.
during the disputes of PASPA,
so that they may experience them with greater enthusiasm
and with even greater intensity, something that fits perfectly these days.
We'll see these today.
I hope you like them; let's get started.
Now that the children have stopped going to school and the big week has begun,
Every day we experience something different regarding the course of the Holy Week.
So we'll see what we can do.
so that the children can better understand what is happening
How naturally can they, based on their age?
And how can we experience it together as a family in a better way?
Of course, preparation begins in our church with Great Lent.
and the many sequences being made during this period.
The first thing that might help is the little booklets of the Holy Week,
These little differences of theirs vary.
This is something we've had since a young age.
I remember because we had older siblings and because we were all in the church,
Although I couldn't read well, I still wanted to have it and keep it.
It is a system in which the child feels that they contributed just a bit more.
and he keeps it a bit occupied, even if it's small and he doesn't quite understand it exactly,
And the older they get, the less they understand.
And this helps a lot, and even if they don't get tired, and even if they pay better attention.
The next point is the books that remove the Great Week, Easter,
which explain what happens every day in our church.
It helps children follow Christ's path from the resurrection downwards.
and experience it more deeply, because they understand why they go to church and thus destroy it.
Let us not forget that all these days are very important.
And it's really beautiful that the children can actually participate in this.
Often we stay only on the surface and in the aftermath.
Painting the shores, grilling the sausages, taking the Easter candle
And all of this is nice, of course; it's not bad to do them.
I will speak a bit more analytically. But that is not the essence.
These help us maintain our mental well-being and enable us to enjoy these days even more.
What is important, however, is for us to better understand and experience the meaning of these days.
I showed you some videos last week regarding what you will be able to choose
And if you'd like, I'll put the videos in the description so you can scroll through and see more highlights, since I'm showing them in detail.
Briefly, I would like to mention the following.
The 1st is Nikos's Big Week, which is for ages 3 and above.
and briefly but very deliberately describes these days leading up to the Resurrection.
Ms. Sarakosti also refers to each day of Holy Week and what happens on it.
For older children, I mentioned the most beautiful task by Anastasios.
You can see it as soon as the video plays.
Describes in great detail these days leading up to the Resurrection.
But it naturally starts on Tuesday.
You received the 2nd one, which talks about the narration of Saint Thotis and contains a very nice description.
One thing I've discovered these past days and haven't shown you yet is Greek Easter.
Some of you asked in the comments for books referring to Greek Easter newspapers.
And there, it very clearly and thoroughly explains this part.
That is, what are we doing, why are we doing it, and how does it relate to Easter, and after we do it.
It's very beautiful this.
These books, for now, I will continue to mention to you, and perhaps one or two more as well.
Next on my list is a calendar from Great Lent.
A beautiful plan that the children will be able to check themselves every day as the days pass until Easter.
This is very helpful and pleasant for children for many reasons.
First of all, they have a good understanding of the days.
Because every year the children used to ask me, now they've grown up
But my Lenten observances kept asking me when they would come for Easter, when they would come for Holy Saturday.
So I made a calendar so they can see each day which stage we're at and how much is left.
Who give only themselves every day.
I did the same for the Great Tetramata, and it's particularly helpful for younger children who don't have such a good sense of time.
Moreover, if it's something personal to them, it helps them feel that they are responsible for something, making the entire experience more enjoyable.
Below in the description, I will provide a plan that you can try if you wish.
And of course, I'll also have the new books and anything else related that I might find, which I hope will be helpful to you.
The continuation is the list of customs you can follow.
As I mentioned earlier, none of these customs are the essence of the matter.
They do help, and they are part of our tradition, so there's nothing wrong with doing them.
On the contrary, it's something pleasant for the children, which will become a nice memory for them when they grow up.
As they do for most groups that grow up in this manner.
Moreover, since our tradition, at least the Greek one, we must have it,
They are things we have established for some reason, and nothing is arbitrary.
It's改革发展 a good opportunity to explain to them what everything we do signifies.
The most characteristic example I'll give you is red eggs.
which we choose to be red because they symbolize Christ and us,
At least, we keep this one.
And from then on, you can peel off some stickers with various designs on them.
And the video I mentioned earlier, Greek Easter, will help you a lot with this.
So, include something every day in the schedule, one day the glue,
The next day, the eggs—certain major newspapers publish them.
to spend some time with your children
And also enjoy the entire process.
Something else that helps a lot, especially with young children,
They are the Easter-themed decorations and sweets.
It's a pleasant way to keep children occupied during the holidays.
and particularly helpful at the moment when they do not include images.
You can find many ideas and constructions on the internet.
Simple things, no need for anything special, just go ahead if you want to.
There are also promotional copies, and there are also opposing books.
A book with several promotional offers will interest you.
I don't remember what the title means.
If I find it, I'll put it in the description.
Another book from these editions that I believe will help you greatly
It is the Holy Pascha, the Waiting.
This particular book is five years old.
And it covers several habits, and I'd like to ask whether it's very positive
why, if you have little children aged five and above,
which I believe is recommended from that age onwards,
It also has a meter, that is, the necessity in poetry
which are pleasant for younger children
and which are easier.
It also has poems for older age groups,
that again explains very nicely and typically several days of this period
It also has nice crafts, recipes, word puzzles, and various activities.
Just as you said the previous time,
You change it and I catch it at her age for the little kids,
so that everyone can enjoy them.
Another suggestion is to watch movies.
which are specifically related to the theme of Easter
or that will put you into this psychology.
I won't offer you many specific ones.
What I would like to suggest is the series by Saint Paisios.
I know that it's not related to Easter,
It is, however, a wonderful well-cared-for series.
which could put us into this psychology
the troposphere of those days.
And the other thing I suggest for younger children
He is the King of Kings,
It's a children's movie that came out at Christmas.
It is the story by Charles Dickens.
Christmas came, we saw it at the cinemas,
but it shows the entire life of Christ
And I think it's very nice because it shows nice knitting details.
from the sufferings and the resurrection
and how a young child experiences all of this.
So I consider it a very good choice.
For younger children to join the atmosphere
and to better understand things that have deeper meanings
And as parents, we sometimes struggle to explain
based on their age.
The last thing I recommend is the Epipolar Plane.
And it is the most important one.
Nothing among all that I have mentioned so far exists.
that will help us drive them away more effectively
more essentially, the meaning of these days.
To participate in the sequences as much as we can
It is what we most desire for others.
One thing you can do is combine the books.
as we mentioned above regarding the sequences,
that is, to read before each sequence
What happens there alone for them to understand
And what will be needed with the substance.
So, as much as possible, put such a program into effect.
If you have younger children, you'll have it a bit more difficult.
Something that helps is less time.
Don't go back to the beginning or take along any tricks with you
to occupy themselves
Adjust the program according to needs and expectations.
Just keep in mind that, as parents,
It's not about us enjoying it ourselves.
before we even have it in our minds to take our little book too
and use it in our corner to understand the sequence.
Our role, as it will emerge later,
It is about going to live, to enjoy all that is given to you.
We will take both the memories and the knowledge.
to be more significant
Those were, then, my proposals.
Thank you very much for coming here today.
Happy Easter and good growth.
