That would be crazy if that actually were my cause of death.
Don't talk to me about magpies.
Don't show me a magpie.
What's my biggest fear?
I don't know, not being able to leave the party.
Hello Vogue Australia, I'm Jenna.
I'm Emma.
I'm Gwendolyn.
And we're the cast of Wednesday season two.
Did anyone here actually have a goth phase?
And if not, what kind of phases did you go through as a teenager?
I didn't have a goth phase, I had an emo phase.
Ripped black skinny jeans, like a Fall Out Boy t-shirt, some Vans and some really bad eyeliner.
Really?
Yeah, have you not seen me like this?
You know what, as you're speaking I feel like you've shown me a photo, but during season one.
I'll show you again when we're done, it's atrocious.
I've seen you with your long hair, but I haven't seen you in black attire.
I've never had a goth phase, because I am not a goth.
But I did have a mod phase.
I was a mod when I was 17.
16.
I was a mod.
I was fascinated by, obviously it's incredibly stylish, but there's a lot of rules in being a mod.
One of which is you have to listen to Scar a lot.
And Scar becomes relentless, like a kind of torture.
But if you want to be a mod, you've got to listen to Scar.
What's something supernatural that you actually believe in?
I like the idea, or I appreciate the idea, and I love hearing people speak about spirituality.
And picking up on energies and things like that, but does that count?
I don't know.
Well, don't talk to me about magpies.
Don't show me a magpie.
Because there's a whole, well this is a whole British thing.
Where it's one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy.
And I, growing up, assumed this was some sort of awful premonition.
Turns out it's just lyrics from a TV show.
Okay, what is Jenna's biggest fear?
Barnacles.
Oh yeah, I do.
I don't think they're going to come to my room.
I've heard you mention this about three times on this tour already.
But if you fell against barnacles, your skin could become so lacerated.
They pop out and they touch you.
You're allergic.
No, you touch them and this pus comes out.
But they've got a rough shell that could lacerate you very badly.
So I think the fear is entirely justified.
That would be crazy if that actually were my cause of death.
I'm just saying, that would be really weird.
What's my biggest fear?
I don't know, not being able to leave the party.
That's probably true.
Being stuck somewhere.
Being stuck somewhere I don't want to be.
I don't really have that many fears, which is nice.
I've got things that make me uncomfortable.
What makes you the most uncomfortable?
Anything to do with, you know in films when they slice their palm open to do blood rituals?
But with feet.
If somebody steps on a nail in a film,
like that scene in A Quiet Place where she's going upstairs and steps on the nail
and she can't make a noise.
Have you seen Ready or Not?
No.
Samara Weaving has a bit where she reaches up over crawling out of something.
Describe season two in one cryptic phrase.
I've just been saying, there's lots of transformations.
Mayhem.
Yeah, mayhem works.
Gwendolyn, have you ever had a paranormal experience?
A paranormal experience?
Well, almost.
Almost?
Yeah, I was once with a friend and he encouraged my friend and I to,
he insisted that we perform at a Ouija board.
I didn't want to, but he said we had to.
And so he was doing it.
We were both saying, you're moving the glass.
But he claimed he wasn't.
And then he said, okay, I'll prove to you it's true.
He said, what is the name of Hannah's landlord?
And it spelled out Alan, but her landlord's name was actually Mahmood.
So it proved that it was entirely wrong.
It was the friend.
He was moving the glass himself, but I mean he still insists it wasn't him.
But he improvised Alan for sure.
Or he might have been channeling something.
