President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the U.S. will work with Iran to
dig up and remove the country's enriched uranium.
There will be no enrichment of uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran,
dig up and remove all of the deeply buried B-2 bombers' nuclear dust, he wrote in a social media
post. Trump confirmed that the enriched uranium has not been touched after the Midnight Hammer
operation on June 22, in which the U.S. targeted three Iranian nuclear complexes
with 14 GBU-57 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombers. Iran has accepted most of the 15-point U.S.
proposal, and the U.S. is considering removing tariffs and sanctions on Iran, he added.
Trump made the statement one day after the United States, Israel,
and Iran agreed on a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the toll system Iran set up on the Hormuz Strait during
the war will stay. Iran charged around $1 million or more for ships from friendly countries and
blocked those from unfriendly countries. The current status quo is unlikely to change
despite Iran's promise to allow safe passage through the strait,
The Wall Street Journal reported, citing ceasefire mediators.
