It's coming down. Here it goes. It's on the road right now. It is on the road. Holy cow.
I had one goal this day, put my camera probe in the path of a tornado.
Let's go, let's go. I gotta go, we gotta get out of here, get out of here.
Oh my god, insane tornado. Even though the tornado misses the probe,
I could still potentially deploy a second time since the tornado was still going.
Incredible tornado. Holy crap. That might be Tony, holy crap. Oh my god, it's right there.
All right, the probe is fine, the probe is fine. It's right here, it's right here.
Oh my god. Let's go. It's roaring.
We turn around to try for another deployment. This is insane. It might be starting to rope.
However, it looks like the tornado is roping out, but it's really just getting started.
I've never seen anything like this in my life. No. Thing is violent. Oh,
in the field, in the freaking field, man. Shoot that close. Dude, I'm getting on the field.
Oh my god. Chris, it's coming back north. We might be able to intercept it.
We'd have to go right now though. Right as we're about to move,
the tornado does something incredible. Oh, look at the inner core. Chris,
we can intercept this. Oh, and that's too late now. Let's get closer. Let's get closer. Oh my god.
What is that? What the heck is that? I have never seen that before.
Bro, what is that? Oh my god. Oh, with the lightning. It's going to cross the road. Here,
let's go. Let's go. Let's go. What the heck am I looking at, dude? Oh my freaking lord.
We race to catch back up with the tornado. It's coming back to the road. We can get extremely
close to it. It's going to hit these traces if they don't move. Oh god. Here, help me get out.
I've never seen anything like this. This is insane. That inner core. That inner core.
All right, we got to get around these guys. That is a violent tornado. Yeah, it is, man.
It's moving pretty hard to the left. Oh god, these guys got to move. This is not good. We got to be
ready to move. We got to be ready to move. This is not good, guys. It's turning hard to the left.
This is not good. We got to move. No, it's coming. Don't hit the road. Please do not hit the road.
Don't hit the road. All right, we got to be ready to move south. Yeah, get ready to rip it.
It's not yet. Oh my god. It's still moving from right to left. The tornado quickly turns towards
the road with dozens of other storm chasers on it. This was a worst case scenario. Don't hit the road.
It's fine. I'm not deploying on that. No, it's too dangerous. Here it comes. It's going for the
road. Oh god. Oh god. Oh god. Oh god. Please move, guys. Move. Before we see what happens when the
tornado crosses the road, I'd like to briefly tell you about the sponsor of this video,
ZocDoc. As a storm chaser, my schedule can be extremely hectic, and I hate to admit it,
but I've been putting off going to the dentist. Thanks to ZocDoc, scheduling an appointment for
a dentist or really any other doctor is easier than it's ever been before. ZocDoc allows you
to see the different doctors in your area, select the type of doctor you're looking for,
as well as your insurance provider. ZocDoc will then list all the doctors that meet your needs,
which you can then pick based on previous reviews or simply availability. Once you find the right
doctor, you're able to book your appointment on their website without having to talk to a single
person. If you've been putting off going to the doctor, please just use ZocDoc and schedule your
appointment today. But if you do, use my QR code or link in the description. All right, back to the
tornado. Here it comes. It looks like they moved. This was the moment of truth. The tornado was
going to hit the road. Oh my God, look up that thing. There it goes, crossing the road right in
front of us. That is a violent tornado. It's going to take out the power lines. I could not believe
what my eyes were seeing. Oh my God. It's stationary. You can inch a little bit closer.
All right. Holy, that is a violent tornado, man. Zoom in on it, zoom in on it right now.
It is on the freaking road. The tornado stops on the road, putting on a show for everyone to watch.
That is the most incredible tornado I've ever seen. Move over, move over to the left,
move over to the left. Dominator's going to try to go in it. That's too dangerous.
That is a freaking violent tornado. Thankfully, nobody is hit by the tornado as it crosses the
road. It's over the lake. Holy crap. Look at that. This is the most incredible thing I've
ever seen in my entire life. We dance with the tornado, following close behind, getting within
a few hundred yards. Look at that. We can get closer. That is a violent, violent tornado.
This is like Manchester, dude. All the storm chasers try to get as close as possible to the
tornado, enhancing the view. Oh, look up. I'm looking up. That is a violent tornado.
This is insane. Let me zoom out. You got to get all that. That's insane. Holy crap.
I've never seen anything like this in my life. Oh my God. It's ripping the trees apart.
This tornado was not just an incredible sight. It was also extremely loud. I can hear it. I have
never heard anything like that before. Listen to that. I'm sticking my camera out the window. I
want to be able to hear it. That is a violent tornado. That is a violent tornado. It smells
like fish. It smells like lake water. It's because it's cut up earth. Is there a road right
here? I don't know. This is the most insane thing I've ever seen in my life. We race to catch up
with the tornado, still trying for that second probe intercept. All right, we got to get around
these trees. This is dangerous. Yeah, just do it. Do it. Dangerous. We can always rip it around.
That farmstead didn't get destroyed, did it? No. We're good. We're good. Wipers. I'm zooming
back in on it. Oh my God. That house just narrowly does destruction. All right, you can kill the
wipers. Have you ever seen anything like this before? No, not even close. Wipers again. Thank
you. There's no goodness. It's rain coming. I'm getting the most incredible tornado footage I've
ever gotten. It's not even close. Up to this point, I would only describe this tornado as
beautiful. However, the dark side of tornadoes was about to be on full display as the powerful
twister was now approaching a farmstead where a family is sheltering. What's just in here?
I'm going to zoom in a little bit. This is nutty. What's out your window?
It's in those trees right now. It's hitting something bad. Oh my God. It's hitting a house.
Not good. That is not good. Oh no. Oh no. Please. Please. No. God damn it.
No. No, no, no, no, no. That house just got destroyed. It is so bad.
That's a strong tornado. That's violent. It is a violent tornado. Oh my God. All right.
Shit. There's no way to get to it. I can't get to it. I don't know how to get there.
That's so bad. Hopefully no one was home. God damn it. Distracted by the tornado,
we miss the driveway to the home, but fortunately, other chasers take action.
This second vehicle is my friend, Will, better known as Tornado TRX.
Will captures the intense moments right after the tornado hit.
So that's Ethan. That's Ethan.
What? Thanks to storm chasers and first responders, nobody loses their life.
I can't get north. Maybe we can just get out and watch it.
We can get out and watch it here, Chris, to pull over or something. I can't really
get it much from outside. All right. I'm going to go here.
It does look like people are trying to get to that house, but they're going to have to
walk out in that field. We keep up with the tornado, but now the real danger are the drivers
on the road. The truck driver appears to intentionally target someone recording on
the side of the road. This dude driving the truck is truly a sick individual,
and that was probably a crime. I'm shooting it. Oh my God. This is better than Ashby.
I know. It's right there in the field. Yeah, it is. I'm closing my window. I'm not going.
It's just too dangerous. We need to be ready to turn or reverse.
We're finally able to get in front of the tornado and are positioned for one last attempt at an
intercept with the probe. I assess the situation and my gut is telling me that it's too dangerous.
I don't think I can deploy. This is too much, man. It's also, I think, too dark. Yeah.
Holy cow, dude. What a tornado. All right. Well, literally grass flew into my mouth.
The tornado was quickly losing size and strength. It was clear this tornado
was almost finished. Also, rain and debris was flying into my eyes.
Oh my God. There it goes. Thank you for the show, Mr. Tornado.
After this intercept, we felt a mix of emotions. On one hand, we had captured the best footage
of our lives. But on the other hand, we had seen a farmstead get directly hit by a violent tornado.
I don't have any words for what just happened. I hope the people in that house are okay.
Yeah, I don't know.
