At first glance, everything feels dark, almost silent, but very quickly, a deeper tension
begins to emerge through the silhouettes. Hello my dear fashion enthusiasts, I'm delighted to
welcome you back to Brandy Bay Fashion. Today let's discover together the Balenciaga Fall-Winter
2026 Fashion Show presented during Paris Fashion Week under the direction of Pier Paolo Pacioli.
Very quickly, you begin to feel that this collection is not simply trying to impose
a strong visual statement, but rather to build a more complex dialogue between different identities.
The show unfolds in near-total darkness, punctuated by an immersive video created
in collaboration with Sam Levinson. From the very first moments the intention clearly goes
beyond clothing. There is a desire to capture something deeply contemporary, almost restless,
connected to today's youth, its references and its tensions. As the silhouettes evolve,
you will gradually sense this very particular atmosphere settling in, as if the show is slowly
building its own visual language. The first looks immediately set the tone. A black leather bomber
jacket fused with a pencil skirt zipped from the neck down creates a hybrid silhouette that feels
both familiar and unsettling. What I find particularly interesting is how streetwear
codes are brought into dialogue with a more couture-like construction, without ever fully
merging. As the show progresses, this nocturnal atmosphere intensifies. Leather ponchos,
mini dresses paired with towering thigh-high boots. The overall impression evokes an urban youth that
feels almost elusive. Some printed pieces, notably featuring references to the series Euphoria,
further anchor the collection in a clearly defined generational culture. At certain moments,
you will notice how this visual tension never fully resolves, and this is precisely what gives
the show its intensity. Yet the collection does not remain confined within this darkness.
Gradually, contrasts begin to emerge, and this is where, to me, the show becomes the most compelling.
The casting, more diverse in age and body types than what is usually seen on Paris runways,
introduces a more open and human perspective.
You can also recognize Pier Paolo Pacioli's sensibility through his work with light.
Draped dresses in silk jersey and velvet soften the overall composition, with fluid lines that
almost evoke classical references. Personally, I really appreciate this ability to allow highly
structured silhouettes to coexist with softer, almost suspended moments. Looking at the collection
as a whole, you will sense this constant search for balance between control and release, between
strength and softness. At the same time, sharply tailored jackets frame the face and reintroduce
a sense of precision. This alternation between tension and fluidity creates a very engaging
rhythm, giving depth to the collection and preventing it from remaining on a single note.
The menswear follows the same logic. Parka's enveloping coats and more structured silhouettes
suggest a more mature wardrobe, contrasting with the younger references found elsewhere.
This duality runs throughout the show, and I find it to be one of the strongest aspects of
the collection. Then comes the finale, where one of Pacioli's signature strengths clearly emerges.
Evening gowns entirely covered in silver sequins capture the light with every movement,
bringing a more spectacular, almost cinematic dimension. At that moment, you will truly feel
this shift towards something brighter, almost as a response to the darkness of the opening.
What I find particularly successful here is this ability to create contrast without losing
overall coherence. The tension between shadow and light, between urban culture and couture heritage,
gives the show real depth. On the other hand, some transitions may feel slightly unresolved,
as if this new direction is still searching for its balance. But this is also what makes
the collection interesting to follow, as it feels like it is still evolving rather
than repeating a fixed formula. In the end, Balenciaga presents a vision in motion,
shaped by tension but also by clear ambition. A fall-winter collection that does not seek
immediate impact, but instead unfolds gradually, allowing contrasting influences to coexist.
I'll now let you fully enjoy the show. Thank you for watching this video on Brandy Bay Fashion,
and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. Take care,
and I'll see you very soon for another immersion into the world of fashion.
