Åhman/Hellvig vs. Vercauteren/Van Langendonck - Pool Play Highlights | Saquarema 2026 #BeachProTour

To the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite out here in Saquarema, Brazil. And that is a sizzler of a cut. Now the strategy for the most part has been to serve the left side of your screen. And that is where they're gonna start. What a serve. Excellent for Oma just to keep the ball off the sand. And that's just Sweden doing Sweden things, he's not just covering but setting. Big option turn there from Johnny Helvig. Missing a server too every now and then, which you have to be at this level. So they're just going fast, flat floats, going for the top of the net. Well handled from Oman. Well cut from Oman. Oman trying to get that trickle right back to him. And there's another block for Helvig. Make it three blocks already for Jonathan Helvig. And another super sharp angle taken there. Leading 12-9, very much in control. But Belgium continues bringing that service pressure. Oman on two, well handled. What a dig there from Verkouder. An excellent rangy transition set. And so Belgium striking back. Just a lovely trouble here for Helvig. And what a phenomenal swing into the angle that is from Helvig. As Belgium's on a 6-2 run. Nice read from Verkouder and, but even when you have the nice read you still gotta stop him. Service pressure. That's been the name of the game for their defense thus far. Nice touch, good scrambling there from Van Langendock. But, sizzler of a jump serve there from Verkouder. And Helvig, he just does such an excellent job of staying high, high, high and fast with these snaps. And now it's Helvig again. Find the block, chop it up. And there's another tool swing. High and off the block of Helvig. Was in the right position. And the block from Verkouder goes just wide. Set point number two here for Sweden. Oh, the hanging swat from Johnny Helvig. Rise up and swat young fella. Goodness can he jump. As he just waits and waits. Now watch how long Helvig stays at the bottom. So he gets low. Belgium showing some tremendous fight in that first. Came back from down 12-9. And made it an awful test here for Sweden. Helvig from way off the net. Impressive range. And another cross body, or rather wrist away there from Van Langendock. This is his bread and butter right here. That little wrist away chop. Omen, high deep six. That's gonna work. And another option well taken, well executed from Verkouder. He's been tremendous. And good break there for Sweden. Tight pass, but the option again from Verkouder. You see that reaction. What a swing and a chest dig kill from Van Langendock. And one of the few opportunities we'll see Verkouder. And again it's on two from Van Langendock. So we really just haven't seen Verkouder go on three at all. And the on two from Helvig goes long. And the trickle ace from David Omen. I was wondering if they were gonna do the Whirly Bird Selly. Indeed they do. It was a nice block there from Verkouder, but just too high from Omen. So that went high and off the block. There's Verkouder on two. He has been, and Van Langendock, he loves that short line as well. And so he's been a mix of sharp wrist away and short line shots. And there is that big serve from Verkouder. Ace down the seam as Belgium takes the lead. And what a swing from Van Langendock. Set goes a little bit outside the antenna. He doesn't have many options left, so he just rips just a smart savvy on two from Verkouder. Now this is where Belgium's gonna need a point. And that is tremendous. It is a match point side out attempt for Sweden. And Helvig with a hanging poke. And that'll do.
