LAFC vs Cruz Azul 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Cuartos de Final

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we have a phenomenal one tonight. Los Angeles Football Club taking on La Maquina Cementera of La Cruz Azul. The black and gold, the Celeste. Are we gonna get an LA-like movie script? We're on! Here's the cross and the header! There he is, 6'6", wants it, he won't get it. Blinded with a shot and that'll be saved by Kevin Meehan on the back. Can he test the keeper that much? Cuts inside. There's a number of... He's unbelievable. Opportunity over on the right side, this could be it. Son wants it. Son! Yeah! It's Son! Lethal break away from the black and gold. That's well done, what a first touch. Son still on it and this could be a card, and it will be a card, and Son certainly did not like that. Covers it well. Nearsides then, looking for the spin of Martinez. Martinez is gonna win! David, it's the black and gold! They go again, look at the space! Look at this, Martinez still on it. Son, Son could find his right foot. Son, it's ready to strike. Shore, Tillman, back to Son, he's still on it. Swings nearside. Son, to Buanga, Denny, he's on, 99. Ole Tornero from Buanga, what a play, goes straight to goal! Denny scores that, we get ready to shut the lights off and go home. Well, for Cruz, thank heavens for them, from their point of view, it didn't go in, because for them, one goal and they're right back in this match. That's the end of the first 45, we played 48 under the ruling of Keylor Arena. We are ready to go here for the second 45 minutes of action. That's the way FC moves it. Might be in the offing, Buanga, looks for the individual, He opened the gap up so well, he just didn't quite catch the shot that he did. He drags it and just opens up a gap and then, lacks his view on the left, will he play Son? Is Buanga looking to stay onside? Martinez is still on it, oh look! This is a very strong LAFC team. We'll go the other way and Arena won't take much of this. That's going to be a card for Falavecino, the frustration is shown now. Some more changes here for Arcamones. Here's a shot, oh! That's what we were asking of Paradilla! In short space, has it! And that is- We can confirm that, we'll play up until the 93rd minute of action. Rotondi with a shot and a gap! It's goalkeeping 101 from Ugaliari. First leg of the series. Now tonight, that's a foul from Rotondi. And Keylor Herrera will make that decision. Here, La Máquina Cementera has fallen in game one of the series, 3-0 in Southern California to LAFC. They strike first and they will carry through to Puebla, Mexico. Unimportant.
