Dangerous For Dogs! We start off today with Memphis finding a corn cob in our back yard! Corn Cobs are dangerous for dogs! Corn in general isn't bad for dogs, but the cob isn't easily digested and can cause blockages. So it looks like we will be checking for those daily again!
Next we head out to the Family Farm! That's right! Jamie spent all day digging out the driveway with the tractor so we could get up into the garage. It was a beautiful day for it as well. And of course, we had to test out the Quad while we were there.
And then, back home to finish out the day! Hope you enjoyed the Vlog!

Good wonderful...
Really?
Really? Grunting right at the beginning?
Good wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience!
Hi Miss Shelby!
Oh, it's a big stretch!
Big stretch!
Yeah!
Is that what you think? You're already ready to go outside?
She's like, I was napping for like an hour and now I need to go outside.
You want to go outside? We'll let you outside.
Good wonderful, beautiful morning Pawdience!
It is a beautiful day here in Northern Michigan.
The sun is shining.
Sadly, the snow is melting, but we're about ready for spring to get here.
Anyway, it's almost the end of March.
I think it's time the snow goes away and we start doing more fun stuff outside while it's not cold, right?
Oh!
I tell you what, you know, it's Northern Michigan when the weather hits 40 degrees and everybody wants to go outside without a coat on.
I was just editing the vlog from the other day from when I got my Jeep back and I realized I didn't really explain
what was wrong with it.
The water pump went out on it and they actually covered it under warranty.
So, I don't know if the water pump was under warranty because I don't think my Jeep has a warranty on it.
It has a drivetrain warranty, but it doesn't have a bumper-to-bumper warranty on it anymore because it's got 56,000 miles on it.
53,000. Okay. Okay. Okay. We're 53,000 miles on it. Come on. Let's go.
But anyway, it was the water pump that went on it.
So I know a lot of people are gonna be like that's too early for a water pump to go.
You gotta remember, we live up here in Northern Michigan.
Ice could have got in it. Water could have got where it shouldn't have and something could have froze and cracked.
It does happen.
Look, the fire pit. I see it. It's underneath the makeshift snow table.
Yeah, it's gorgeous outside.
Well, it's that time of the year again. Can anybody see what Memphis has?
That is something that is very dangerous for dogs to eat.
That's a corn cob, which means my neighbor's been feeding the stinking squirrels corn cobs again.
And the bad thing is, is they the squirrels bring them into my yard and leave them.
So I'm constantly checking for corn cobs.
Apparently they're back again. We haven't seen any since fall.
I'm gonna go grab that from her so she don't swallow it.
So to clarify, corn in general is very digestible for dogs.
Kind of does the same thing as it does to us and it just goes right through you.
Corn isn't the bad part. The cob itself, that centerpiece of the corn,
can get stuck and it doesn't digest properly.
So it can actually get stuck in their intestines and cause them to have to have surgery.
So I'm not a big fan of corn cobs in my backyard.
Neighbors.
Not that they know the squirrels are bringing them here.
But still, now I got to be on the lookout for them again.
Because the squirrels will take them and they will bury them places in the backyard as well.
We're gonna have to do more perimeter checks now that the snow keeps melting.
You're pretty proud of yourself?
Hmm?
You're pretty proud of yourself? Did you find that?
Say, I found that in the yard. So I brought it to the door.
Thankfully when there's nothing on them, she doesn't really want to chew them.
She just carries them up to the door and drops them.
But there it is, a corn cob.
So can you guess where I am?
Those of you that are newer, probably have never seen this before or been here before,
but I'm at the family farm.
Jamie decided to come out here and plow the driveway with the tractor.
We haven't been able to...
We don't plow it in the wintertime because we don't need anything here in the wintertime right now.
Nobody lives here currently, so it doesn't get plowed.
But look at how pretty it is in the winter.
Look at this drift. I gotta show you this.
This drift up the side of the building.
It's so crazy.
It's very very pretty out though.
Jamie just started the four-wheeler.
Walk you around over here.
Such a nice day out, he decided to come out here and play because we got stuff in the barn
we wanted to get out and look at all the snow he had to
plow
using the tractor.
Hold on, I gotta turn the camera off while I walk here.
You hope you float on top of it. He's definitely floating on top of it.
That just goes to show you that the snow is pretty deep there, but it's so frozen solid on the top.
Where are you gonna go from there, hun? Oh, he had a spot.
Man, you better be careful.
I think so too. My fear was like one tire was gonna flip through and you were just gonna fly off.
Like you're going too fast. What if one tire goes down?
You're definitely on top of it.
Bye.
We haven't played with the toys in so long.
See you later Jamie, bye.
It's still icy.
Yeah, you can see where it's really like clear like that out there. Four-wheeler works.
There's how far down the driveway he had to go. The snow is really deep at the end.
It wasn't too deep here, but then as you got right here, you could tell how deep it was.
Comparison, it's like up to my knee. So yeah, just a little bit of snow.
So there isn't a plow on the front of our tractor as you can tell it's just got the...
What do you call that? I don't know what it's called, the bucket?
I always call it the big boys toys.
Because they always played with tractors when they were little kids and now they get to play with them when they become adults.
That's why you give boys tractors as toys when they're kids.
Tractors, trucks and dump trucks, right?
So he's making the edge of this just a little bit wider.
That's so cool. There you go, in case you were ever wondering how that works. That's how it works.
Just got back from a walk with the dogs. Check out that moon guys.
You better not be looking for that cat. They might be looking for the cat. I don't think it's the same cat...
we keep seeing out front. There's a different one that I think might belong to the people behind us. I'm not really sure.
But they're definitely smelling something fun.
What's your major malfunction?
Hmm?
What do you want?
Yeah, what else?
Do you want to go outside?
He's not gonna come let you outside.
He's playing video games with Greg.
You got to tell me.
Come on, Shelby.
Shelby, come on. Let's go outside. Come on.
I'm gonna let you out. My goodness.
Ready? Click! Still the greatest thing ever installed in this house.
Shelby.
Are you faking? Do you just want a treat?
Okay, you're not faking. For a second, I thought she was faking.
I'm supposed to snow tonight, but I don't think it'll stick.
Hey Shelby, your tongue is sticking out.
Right there. You have a blip.
Do you know you have that? Do you know your tongue is sticking out?
Why are you so cute when you do that?
Aw, you fixed it!
Alright you guys, we're calling it a night. We hope you enjoyed today's video. As always, thanks for watching.
