Both of these teams are undefeated against left-handed starters a combined 8-0 3-0 for the Guardians 5-0 for the Braves Somebody is gonna fall tonight Kwan grounded out Martinez with a pop-out But and now it is Ramirez from the right side Jose hitless last night Oh for four with a walk the pit swung on drilled deep right field Jose Ramirez has now homered against every opponent in Major League Baseball He's the first Cleveland Guardian to ever do that and Cleveland's got a 1-0 lead Well, that's a good sign right there Jose gets a hit six and oh right Messick is starting to make a name for himself at the big league level and one down for Drake Baldwin He's de-aging tonight now Baldwin taps it to the left side So it may have been accidental but it works as an infield single So two on with two out Riley's offense continues to tick up in this three-game win streak two more hits yesterday foul First base side near the Braves dugout and caught by Reese Hoskins Reached above him didn't collide with him in front of the Braves dugout So it's a two-hour walk to Juan Brito Well Perez has made 17 pitches to the last two hitters Austin has his drills went into the gap and left center base it cut off by Dubon and Austin hedges soon becoming Cleveland's reenactment of Austin Powers came in batting 400 now all of a sudden there's first and second number nine hitter Rocio Up and in he walked him in the bases are loaded This all after two outs nobody on as Cleveland has loaded up the bases for Stephen Kwan He is hitting 538 right now with runners in scoring position He's leading Major League Baseball and now the 0-1 is grounded right at Ozzie Alvarez Parker Messick another impressive start so far one nothing Cleveland in the third swing and a miss boy He came back and executed a perfect changeup. It's his first strikeout. It's Ronald Acuna jr He does walk Drake Baldwin second free pass for Messick tonight Ozzie had a fly out the first go for one Ozzie finds a hole on the right side Baldwin stops at second two on two out so a gaping hole on the right side of the infield There at first and second two down for Matt Olsen Matt really approaching some major career milestones Entering this game. He's played in 796 consecutive games, that's the twelfth longest streak in Major League history for consecutive games played Here's the one two delivery got him swinging on a changeup down and in you don't see a lot of left on left changeups Reese Hoskins steps in three two another ground ball Mateo deep in the hole Never seems to stop here backhand by Mateo and he's got a hurry to get it out of his glove quickly Sure, Matt Olsen would like this have been a slightly longer hop But still a good one and everybody happy about it Oh to the burrito quick pitched him in a bounce around the third base Backhand pick by Riley and he throws a dart across the diamond for out number three Slick play over there the hot corner by Austin a couple of good ones by the Braves as the Guardians go quietly in the fourth Ball for Hedges draws the walk and now they have a leadoff walk We'll see if that leads to anything here in the fifth instead of liner towards Acuna Back to the top and Steven Kwan over to tonight had a couple of hits last night. You like this on the second for one Parker Messick has been efficient tonight now faces Jorge Mateo We're gonna miss down goes Mateo Parker Messick continues to carve him up second time through the order all three of his strikeouts on that good changeup Acuna has hit 2.8 fewer home runs than expected according to stat cast metrics standing as the Unluckiest batter in Major League Baseball. I feel sorry for him, but this time Acuna gets the best of Messick He's headed for second Is he gonna turn for third here? Has a two out triple Hustle triple he put some pressure on the defense and they could not handle it his first triple of the year Tying run 90 feet away Major League Baseball's RBI leader with a chance to get another one here He just throws him at the dish with a devastating changeup his fourth strikeout of the night Jose Ramirez a line drive homer to left and a strikeout Jose hammers it to right field on hills off to the races He'll go all the way to third Jose a wide turn holds it first and the guardians have something brewing here in the sixth And Jose Ramirez might be getting hot a line drive Face it to right and the guardians have been at the corners with nobody on and David Frye Was due up and with a right hander on the mound will get a pinch hitter Damon will bat for David Frye. That is a big strikeout Excellent sweeper from high arms to get Schneeman and indeed that Braves bullpen has been the best in baseball now bummer brought into a tough Spot here. He faced one hitter last night only through six pitches The lotter has flied out grounded out leads the club and homers five and he took it a little bit low in the Braves Challenge it's ball four. So each team's got one challenge left and the bases are loaded with one out Reese Hoskins coming to the plate. Oh for two at least on the left side They are banking on a ground ball to the left side right now both Austin Riley and Jorge Mateo are back Everybody is yeah normal depth Swung on a chopper to third Riley charges tried to take the runner missed throw to first in time Hoskins is out Martinez scores Riley tried to tag the runner Ramirez who eluded the tag Really good base running by Jose Ramirez to avoid the tag and a two out base said here Could get you two more as Juan Brito bats right handed ball for and they are loaded Bummer has walked two out of the three hitters. He has faced and now Austin hedges with the bases loaded payoff pitch ground ball Ozzie has it Well Parker Messick trying to give Cleveland something they haven't had seven innings from a starter Bullseye strike three called locked them up on a changeup five strikeouts for Messick That's all five strikeouts on that same pitch that changeup for Messick Single to center field to disrupt Parker Messick So the Braves have a two out single But maybe you give them the ninth place hitter with two outs to try to get through seven He's only had 84 pitches, but he's made up his mind now Parker Messick with another quality quality outing tonight Three third start of the season. Well, the Braves will try to get to the bullpen The pinch hitter is Dom Smith and a routine roll in a second one pitch and Connor Brogdon gets the final out So Schneeman is the board and chased a lot are trying to do some damage The water has flied out grounded out walk and he hits a line shot to the gap in right center This will get over the head of Acuna one half the wall Schneeman's going to try to score from first throw to the plate hit first On a bang bang play and the waters come through again with an RBI Double and the Guardians have a three nothing lead is 12th run batted in on the year to lead the club He's one of the best in the American League so far this season now seven walks for Braves pitchers tonight Here's on hill Martinez with a runner on two down runner goes Oh one low and inside that leaks through Haim And goes to the backstop He didn't know where it is up on his feet heading for third base Quan and he will this throw down the left field line Is horrible and Quan comes in to score Boy Haim completely lost as to where the ball was I mean the ball got past him and he did not pick it up You talk about hand delivering the Guardians a run and the birds rained out on Jonah Haim. That's a gift And a sliding attempt but Williams can't come up with it and in the second base goes on Martinez with a hustle double number all those guys switched around Williams Just called up today and try to slide and grab it But he could not to on two down for nothing Cleveland Daniel Schneeman has struck out and walked since coming on with the runners going takes outside throw to third wide throw Diving catch by Riley headfirst slide by Martinez and the trail runner Ramirez also stole Second I'll base it would remove all doubt swing on line drive base it to center That'll get to win that'll remove any doubt and the Guardians lead six to nothing as Martinez and Ramirez score on the clutch two out two runs single to center by Daniel Schneeman a Double and a walk and now Mauricio Dupont 0 for 3 to the plate And he struck him out, what did he need that one a big exhale one down for you strip ski Three called you strip ski thought it was high two down in the Atlanta night Six nothing Cleveland and the last hope is catcher Jonah Haim swung on high fly shallow third base area near the stands Ramirez foul ground makes the catch ball game and the Braves have been shut out for the first time and Cleveland gets its ninth win of the year beating Atlanta six to nothing
