Hi everyone! Welcome back to my YouTube channel and welcome to a spring styling video. I'm very
excited to be doing spring content now. The weather has really warmed up. I'm out of my winter style
rut and I'm feeling so inspired and so motivated to create new outfits and switch up my wardrobe
a little bit. I will be doing my spring summer wardrobe switchover very soon, within the next
few weeks. But I have got some new pieces that are going to be so perfect for the season ahead,
so I can't wait to show you them. This video is going to be kind of a spring essentials video
and I'm going to talk you through six items that I think are absolutely essential for spring
and styling them in full outfits for you. So you get six full spring looks, so hopefully that will
give you a bit of inspiration, a bit of motivation if you are in a little bit of a style rut because
I know I was. It's very hard to get out of that habit of wearing lots of layers and a coat
in winter and I know that the weather was making it a real struggle here for us in the UK because
the seasonal depression had really set in. Now the weather is perking up a little bit,
we're having lots more dry days, a little bit of sun, it's still been quite chilly but
things are on the up. So this video is very kindly sponsored by a brand called Petite Studio
and if this is a new brand to you then they are the first and only trend clothing brand designed
exclusively for petite women. So I am around five foot four, five foot four and a little smidge,
so you'll be able to see how these pieces look on me. They are a slow fashion indie brand creating
limited edition pieces and curated collections all tailored for real petite women. The brand is
New York based and it's actually run by a team of petites as well so they know exactly what you're
looking for. So if you are a smaller petite woman this video is for you, however like I said I am
five foot four so I'm not super petite and these pieces fit me so nicely. So Petite Studio currently
have an amazing spring sale on, it is running from the 26th of March to the 2nd of April and they
have 25% off site-wide, no code needed, the discount will just come off automatically at the checkout
and of course I will link all of the pieces that I'm about to show you down in the description box
so you can shop those down there if you wish and if you have any questions about anything just drop
me a comment and I'll get back to you. So let's get into the haul and spring essential number one
is a pair of jeans. I always think a good pair of jeans is essential for any casual wardrobe
all year round and these ones in particular are so good for spring. So I love dark denim at the
moment, I've been buying lots of dark denim recently and these are such a good addition to my
jean collection. So these are the Sevilla high rise wide leg jeans in vintage indigo and I have
got them in a size small so if I come a bit closer you can see the colour a bit better but these are
such a nice fit. So they're a really good quality denim but they are a little bit thin and a little
bit stretchy as well which makes them so so comfortable to wear. The length I think is perfect
on me. I really like this raw hem as well, it's a really nice detail. These are so good to wear with
maybe a little heel, a kitten heel but also look great with flats. I have just styled them with my
ballet flats in the cutaway. Also love this little petite studio detail on the back. They have
pockets, they have a really nice fastening and a good fitting comfortable pair of jeans is so
important. These are going to look great with white t-shirts, with cardigans, with blazers, you could
dress these up like I said with a little heel and maybe a blazer for the evening but they are also
so perfect for every day and I have styled them with this beautiful blouse. So this is the Aerin
blouse in denim blue. They also have it I believe in a cream or beige colour as well which I also
think is absolutely stunning but I have picked up the light blue and this like lace detail and the
seams and everything I just think is so gorgeous. It's the perfect blouse for spring, it's long
sleeved, you can definitely layer with it a blazer over your shoulders but you could quite easily
just wear it on its own as well. I love it paired with the slightly darker denim, I think it would
look great with cream accessories but I've just gone for black. This is such a classic item of
clothing, it is such good quality as well. This would also look really really nice with a pair of
cream jeans that I have later on to show you in the video. It's just such a beautiful classic
chic item, baby blue is such a lovely colour to wear for spring, summer and this is really
different to any other blouses that I have. I normally go for like a collared shirt so to have
something a bit different like this, a bit more feminine and elegant is a really nice addition.
Oh and I got this in a size small. The next spring essential I have for you guys is a nice
lightweight dress. So this particular one is a lovely cream colour, it has this beautiful pattern
which gives the dress such a nice texture. It's kind of a cream, almost buttery yellow colour
which I think is so beautiful and it has lining all the way down to about here and then it just
goes into a more see-through skirt which is so beautiful. There's lots of kind of structure
to this skirt, it's really nice and flowy when you walk and I just love as well the top part
how casual it is. It's almost kind of like a vest style dress but then the bottom part of it is a
little bit smarter. It'll look great in the summer with a little basket bag and a pair of sandals
but you can also really dress it for spring weather as well. This is called the Gwynn
knit dress by the way and I have paired it with a lovely denim jacket because that dress on its own
at the moment will be fine if you're going away but in the UK you definitely need a little bit
of layering. So I have gone for a lovely denim jacket. So this is the Moxie denim jacket and I
also got this in a size small, you do not need to size up, it's already really nice and oversized.
A denim jacket is such a good option for jackets for the spring. You can do that double denim thing
which looks very very cool and effortless. You can dress this down with trainers, make it really
wearable for every day but it also looks really nice styled how I have with a lovely little cream
dress. A fantastic contrast of like a feminine dress with something a little bit more structured,
two very different styles and textures merged together which I think looks really cool. I've
just gone for simple accessories but you could definitely dress this up maybe with a little pair
of cream thong kitten heels and again this denim jacket is really nice quality, really lovely and
thick and great for layering as well. You could pop some knitwear underneath this if we are facing
a chillier day or a little knit over the shoulders when you're wearing this would look really cute as
well. So item number three on my spring essentials is a linen shirt. This is the Benoit linen shirt
and it is in the colour Ecru, also comes in some other colours I think but I just loved this beige.
I thought this was such a lovely colour for spring, it's going to look so good with cream. A little
cream skirt, cream jeans which I'm going to show you in a second, also great with blue denim as well
and this actually is 100% linen this shirt so amazing quality. Again sometimes you buy things
and they say linen in the name and it's like 40% linen or 20% linen and it's a blend but this is
100% linen. I checked the label myself and you can really really tell it's such a beautiful
shaped shirt. I like that it's not buttoned all the way up to the top, I like that there's a little
bit of a gap here because that's just more flattering and a little bit more casual. My
favourite little detail is the back here so you can see I have done the button up, kind of cinch
it in but you can also undo it as well and have it a bit more of a looser fit or you can tie it up
and have it a little bit more structured, a little bit more cinched in at the waist which I think is
such a nice detail, it really takes this top from day to night. I actually have a couple of summer
holidays booked already which I'm so excited about and this is 100% going to be coming with me. I
think it's going to look great with some little white tailored shorts but for now I have paired it with
another pair of jeans and these ones again I absolutely adore. These are the, what are they
called? The Adila mid-rise straight leg jeans in cream, again size small and these also fit so well
much like the first pair of jeans I showed you. These ones don't have a raw hem so a little bit
smarter and I just love jeans like this. I love my cream trousers, my tailored trousers that I wear a
lot. I also really love to wear cream jeans and again because these ones are a little bit thinner
and softer they're so, so comfortable to wear. I think they look really, really good with the colour
of the shirt, such a nice spring colour palette going on there and I've actually paired these with
some heeled boots so you can see the length when I'm wearing heels but they also look really lovely
with flats as well. I did try them on with flats beforehand but I just thought as it's not quite
that warm here yet if you did want to pair them with a little pair of ankle boots they do look
really good dressed down like that. I love the two items together but these jeans are going to go with
so much in my wardrobe, I cannot wait to wear them. Item number four in my spring essentials video
is a waistcoat. Now waistcoats became trendy, trendy god I sound like an old woman when I say
trendy, they became a trend piece a good few years ago now and they're here to stay. Every spring,
summer a nice good quality waistcoat or waistcoat set comes back in fashion and this particular one
I love. So this is the Ines linen vest and this is in the colour oat so it's a kind of beige tone
and I really love the tortoiseshell buttons as well, lovely detail there and it also comes with
a matching skirt. So this is the Teagan linen pencil skirt again obviously in the colour oat,
this set also comes in more of like a white creamy colour as well but I just love the oat,
I thought it was a bit different. I just know I am going to get so much wear out of this set,
you can wear them as separates, you can wear them together, I personally love the look of them
together, I think it looks really really chic. I've just styled them very simply with a little bag and
flats, it's going to look great on my holiday with my sandals and a basket bag but also you could
definitely dress this up with some little kitten heels and a more evening appropriate bag, you
could pop a blazer over your shoulders as well or perhaps a little knit tied around the shoulders.
The skirt length I think is perfect on me, again the quality is amazing, I just think this is such
an elegant look. As I said a waistcoat has stood the test of time so this kind of thing you can
wear year after year in the spring summer, I know I'm going to get so much wear out of it and I just
love these pieces, they look so much more expensive than what they were as well. Moving on to item
number five, we have a satin slip skirt. So I have quite a few of these in my wardrobe already but I
was so drawn to this one because of the beautiful colour, I do not have anything like this already
and I think it's so nice, it's kind of like an ice grey but it's got a little bit of a blue undertone
to it as well. Again such a nice length on me, a perfect wear with flats but also again can be
dressed up with heels as well. I love a slip skirt for every day, I feel like they're quite an elevated
piece and you can really pair almost anything with them. I've worn slip skirts before with t-shirts,
with a little vest in the summer, with heels, with sandals, this would also look great with the denim
jacket, the waistcoat, there are so many options for a slip skirt like this which I think is why it
has to be a spring essential. You can wear it right now layered with a bit of knitwear, even a pair of
boots as well, you could also wear this kind of thing in the autumn winter as well but we're not
talking about that now. Perfect for summer also because it's super lightweight. I have paired it
with this beautiful cardigan, so this is the Cindy cotton cardigan in ivory and I believe this also
comes in a stripe, I might be wrong there but I'm sure I saw that on the website and again I've got
this in a size small and I love cardigans like this, they are so chic, so wearable, this particular one
is again amazing quality, really nice and thick, I love the gold buttons and just the little details
on it are so so beautiful and I think this looks so nice with a slip skirt. This kind of combination
would be great for the office as well if you're struggling to know what to wear for spring, I know
it can be a little difficult when the weather gets warmer in an office because you're always drawn to
like a trouser suit, something that's more covered up and more corporate and it can be hard to know
how to dress so a little cardigan like this with some lightweight trousers or indeed with the slip
skirt how I've styled it is perfect for the office. I love this, I'm going to be getting my way out of
this so much. I also think it's going to look great with all of the denim on this rail with
the cream jeans in particular and some milk flats and then I have just popped over my shoulder a
lovely white blazer, this in itself really should be another item on my spring essentials but I am
styling it with the slip skirt, it would also look great on its own with the slip skirt if you want
more of like an evening outfit, just take the cardigan away and you can pop maybe a little
lacy bra under this and wear it on its own with the slip skirt but I just think this blazer is
gorgeous, it is the perfect oversized fit, I've got it again in a size small, this is called the
Kia linen blazer by the way and again this is 100% linen and you can just tell in the quality
so this is great for layering for spring, you can pop a little bit of knitwear underneath this
or a t-shirt perhaps even a long sleeved and this is going to look great with denim as well
but also it's so nice to pop over lightweight dresses, you could wear it with tailored shorts in the
summer so a piece that is going to really see you through until the autumn and again a piece that
will stay in my wardrobe year after year firstly because it's never going to go out of style, you
always need a classic blazer, this is something that I will take with me on holiday for the
evenings you know if it gets a bit chilly and you just need something to pop around your shoulders
but also because of the quality I just know this is going to stand the test of time and this is
going to be in my wardrobe for a very long time and finally what screams spring more than a trench
coat, the ultimate spring essential, I already have a few trench coats in my repertoire, this one
it wasn't a want it was a need, when I saw this on the website I thought I have to have a trench
coat in this beautiful olive green colour, this is the Haggar trench coat in the colour olive brown
and I just thought it was so beautiful, it's so different to anything else I have, I've got this
in a size medium so it would be a little bit oversized because I do like an oversized trench,
again a great length on me, you'll be able to see it in the cutaway but I think it fits
really nicely, it's not too long, it's not too drowning but also it's not that awkward kind of
shorter length either, the thing I love most about this trench coat is these little checked details,
so if you pop the collar it has this gorgeous check pattern, it also has it on the sleeves as
well if you want to roll the sleeves up and I just think that is such a nice detail, it makes it look
so luxurious, so designer inspired, I mean you already get that from the quality and the shape
and the style of it but these added little details I just think are beautiful, it's got this lovely
lapel as well again with that checked pattern underneath, a lovely vent detail at the back as
well, it also has a belt so you can really cinch it in if you wanted to and do it all the way up,
I just love wearing it open and that is because you can see the outfit underneath, so this top
that I'm actually wearing now is what I'm wearing in the cutaway and this is such a beautiful like
casual everyday top, it's a lovely knitted piece, I think it goes really nice under a jacket,
great for layering, it's probably a little bit too chilly at the moment to wear something like this
on its own but I love these draped sleeves, it also has a little tie with some beading as well
so you can cinch it in and kind of roll it up so it sits really nicely which I think is a great
little detail and then I also have these jeans on which I think are such a nice colour
paired with the olive trench, I wanted to go for something nice and simple under the trench,
so I went for these jeans, these are the, what are they called, the Odila mid-rise straight leg
again in mid indigo and again in a size small, similar to the other jeans, so comfortable,
such a nice fit, really lovely dark denim colour again, nice little pocket details at the front and
they also have the petite studio little detail on the back, a really nice comfortable jean for
every day, they look great with flats, I've got one I think with my little ballet flats and they
work so well, just a perfect spring outfit this I think, good jeans, nice basic trench coat,
what more could you want? So that is everything for my spring essentials haul, I really hope you
guys enjoyed seeing a little bit of spring styling, like I said petite studio have an amazing 25%
off the spring sale at the moment and that is running from the 26th of March to the 2nd of April,
the discount is automatically applied at the checkout so you don't have to worry about a code
or anything, everything that I have mentioned and that is on the rail will be linked in the
description box, if you did enjoy this video it would be amazing if you could give it a like and
if you're new to my channel I would absolutely love it if you could hit subscribe as well and
I'll see you all very soon in my next video, bye!
