All right, well, it's springtime
and I'm doing something a little different.
I'm in a new area here.
I am down in Western Kentucky,
right in Big Tractor Power's backyard,
out here with a farm that is working ground
and planting corn.
I think this is probably my first video down here
in this Western Kentucky red dirt.
Let's have a look.
All right, so there's a 9RX pulling a DB90 over there.
We'll get the drone over there
and they are working ground way over there.
And there's the farm's been set up.
The farm I am visiting right now
is near Franklin, Kentucky.
First up, you will see them working ground
running their John Deere 9RX640 tractor,
pulling the John Deere model 2230FH field cultivator.
This tractor and field cultivator
is running just ahead of the corn planter.
The tractor and corn planter
is in a field just across the road.
I'll fly the drone over there in a little bit
and we'll check that out.
And here they are across the road,
planting corn with their John Deere 9RX540 tractor,
pulling their John Deere DB90 planter.
This planter is 90 feet wide.
This is a 36 row planter,
36 rows on 30 inch row spacing.
Although it was a very warm day here
at the end of March down here in Western Kentucky,
as you can tell by the dust, it was also very windy.
Now in this video, I will go back and forth
between the tractor and field cultivator,
the tractor and planter.
This video will include drone footage,
on the ground footage.
I hope you enjoy this first tillage
and planting video for the 2026 season.
Also, Big Tractor Power is about six miles
from where I am right here,
filming another farm, putting on anhydrous ammonia.
And as soon as I get done here, I am heading over there.
Here we go.
And that is going to do it for this video.
