The Sound of a Sikorsky S 61 Helicopter

Recorded on August 24th & September 3rd in Sandpoint Idaho while performing fire fighting duties. The microphone setup used on the start and depart were a Schoeps MK4 Cardioid as the mid and the MK8 figure eight as the mid. For the Arrival and landing I used a Sennheiser MS setup with the MKH8040 as the mid microphone and the MKH8030 as the side microphone. Both were recorded to a Sound Devices 833 at 32-bit floating point.
