Today, our daughter Zadie is riding a bicycle
for the first time.
But there's a problem.
She doesn't have a bicycle to ride yet.
So while Matt does bicycle training,
I'm gonna be going to the stores
and searching for the perfect bicycle for Zadie to ride.
And hopefully by the end of this,
Zadie will ride a bicycle all by herself
for the very first time.
Challenge number one is called gliding.
You've never done this before,
but this is a balance bike.
Are you okay?
Oh no.
Oh no, Matt.
Oh no, Zadie.
While Matt is doing challenges with Zadie
to prepare her to ride a bike,
my job is to find one and ask her mom.
I know, I will know the perfect bike when I see it.
I need to just find the bike area first.
Zadie, you're doing pretty good.
Give me a high five.
I think you're gonna be able to ride a bicycle
for the first time today.
But in order to make sure,
we need to keep on training.
So this is called the Flamingo Balance Challenge.
We're gonna stand on one foot and count to 10.
Three, two, one.
One, two, three, four.
Oh, you can't hold on to me.
You gotta work on your balance.
You ready?
I'm gonna do it again.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Oh, you're so close.
Zamfam, I have less than an hour to find a bike
and get back before Zadie is ready to ride.
So I have to move fast.
This is games.
Where are the bikes?
Do you know where bikes are?
Bikes to ride?
You know bikes?
Oh, okay, thank you so much.
Oh no, Zamfam, there's no bikes at this target,
which means I need to go to another one.
But I have less than an hour to do this,
so I need to move fast.
I don't know if I can do this, Dad.
I know you can.
You're my little princess.
You can do it.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Yay, you did it!
If you were able to get your dream bicycle,
what would you want?
I want a basket.
Let me just text your mom.
Please, she can find one with one of those.
I just got a text from Matt.
He says that ZD wants a basket on the bike.
That's such a good idea.
I should have thought of that.
But now I need to find a bike.
This is called Don't Let the Balloon Touch the Floor.
You have to hit this.
It's lava.
Yeah, exactly.
Hot lava.
And it will pop the balloon if it touches.
You have to hit this ten times
without it touching the floor.
Here you go.
One.
Go get it.
Two.
Three.
Oh!
It touched the floor.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
Oh, oh, this is a hard one, it's a hard one.
Oh!
She is getting so close.
That was nine.
The wind is messing me up.
Okay, so I found a place called Wheel World.
It sounds like it's serious biking,
but I'm hoping that they have some kid bikes,
preferably with a basket.
So you guys know that we recently moved.
If you have not watched the video, go and watch it.
We love our new house,
but the best part is there's an outside area
where Zadie can actually learn to ride a bike.
And she has been wanting to do it.
I know she can do it.
I just don't know if she's gonna have the confidence today.
Either way though, I'm gonna be so happy with her.
And I'm just excited that she is ready to try.
All right, let's go in.
Now that we're inside,
this should work a little bit better
because there's no wind.
One, two, three, four.
Zadie, you just passed this level.
I did it!
That's right.
Are you ready to ride a bicycle right now?
I don't know.
Okay, well I believe in you.
You can do this.
But if you were to ride a bicycle,
what color would you want it to be?
Pink.
Pink?
I better tell mom that.
Okay, so I'm now in the store.
They have so many bikes.
This is definitely a place I would wanna get a bike
because I know that I'm gonna get
the safest one for my daughter.
Look, she mentioned that she wanted a basket.
There's baskets.
That is a good sign.
I'm really going with this one,
but I feel like she might not like the color.
And it looks like I was right.
Matt just texted me that she wants a pink bike,
which is obvious.
So all I have to do is see if they have that exact bike,
but in pink.
I think that might be the perfect bike
for Zadie to learn how to ride a bike.
If you're gonna ride a bicycle by yourself,
you have to have a really good balance and focus.
I want you to hold this spoon with a raw egg on it
and carry it all the way over to me, okay?
Do you think you can do this?
Yeah.
Three, two, one, go.
Watch where you're going.
You did it!
I wasn't sure if you were going to,
so just in case, I had two extra ones.
We don't need these!
So Zadie, I think you are ready
to ride a bicycle by yourself.
You've done all of your training.
Now it's time for you to ride a bicycle.
Are you ready to see the one that mom picked out?
Yeah!
Keep them close, keep them close, keep them close,
keep them close.
Three, two, one.
It's pink and it has a basket just like you asked, Zade,
and it has training wheels that can come off
when you're ready to ride the bike.
You wanna try it?
Yeah!
I love the helmet for safety.
Now you're gonna have to push forward.
You did, oh.
The training works!
She's really good, Matt.
Catch her!
I can't believe it!
Good job, now if you wanna stop, push back on the brakes.
Push back, can you show me how you stop?
Gotta push back like that, good job.
Now look, you wanna keep your eyes up
so you don't hit anything, okay?
Push that one forward, the one that's up,
you push forward and down.
Yeah, let go of the brake too.
There, good job, Zadie!
This is happening too fast!
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I wasn't here earlier.
This makes me nervous!
Wow, she's flying!
Oh my gosh.
You having fun?
Yeah!
Good job, Z!
What do you think, Beck?
I'm impressed.
I thought it'd be a lot harder for her
to learn to ride a bike, but it looks easy.
I think she's ready.
I don't know.
What do you do?
You push down and forward with the top one.
Down and forward.
Wait, your foot has to be straightened out.
Push forward, down and forward.
Nope, that way, forward, forward.
You got it!
You're getting confused.
It has to go forward.
No, there you go, there you go.
Rock it, rock it.
There we go.
There, there you go.
Good job, Zadie.
She's going so fast, Beck.
I don't know, though,
if she's ready to take the training wheels off.
It seems really fast.
Trust me, with the training she did, she has this.
I believe in Zadie.
So how are you feeling?
Good.
Good?
You're riding really fast.
Did you think it was gonna be this easy?
Yeah.
You did?
I'll be honest, I did not think it was gonna be this easy.
You're doing great.
Okay, well, Zadie, to ride a bike without training wheels,
there's a few steps that you have to do.
So the first step is we wanna take one of them
and just lift it up a little.
You're gonna have to learn to balance.
You think you can do it?
You did some balance training?
Yeah?
Come here, come here.
Look it, I see you looking a little bit nervous,
but just remember, we trained for this.
And guess who believes in you?
Mom and Dad?
Mom and Dad believe in you, okay?
So does the rest of the Zam Fam.
You can do this.
You're not wearing that sleigh shirt for nothing, okay?
Because you're about to sleighs this.
You got it?
Ten.
Okay.
That's it.
Yes, oh, wow.
All right, right now, we're fixing the training wheels.
Actually, we're gonna do both of them.
We're gonna get both of them up a little bit.
Wait, both?
It's gonna be hard for her.
Exactly, but she won't know.
We are telling her, there's no tricks on this.
If she's gonna do it, she has to know
and have the confidence.
If she can't do this today,
we can have her do it another day.
If she's not ready, we can't make her do it.
She's got this, just trust me.
Look, sit.
Hold on, sit.
Now you feel it, the balance?
Get on.
Sit on it.
It's still fine.
We do.
Daddy's gonna put his hand, look, right here.
This is for Dad.
Now push, and it helps you stay balanced.
See?
And Dad keeps his hand here.
Okay.
Do you see that?
Look it, I'm right with you the whole time.
Feel your balance.
Okay.
Good job!
The goal is to go a little bit quicker, Sadie.
There you go.
Yep, yep, there you go.
Try to stay in the middle now.
Just try to stay in the middle.
Yep, you got this, Sadie.
There we go.
There, good job.
I got it.
Well, we're gonna hold on just in case.
Daddy, can you hold on just in case?
Yep, I got it.
You sure?
I don't think you got it.
I'm nervous.
Rebecca, she's got this.
I got it.
Take my hand off?
I don't know.
Okay, look it.
We're gonna do this.
Three, two, one.
You got this, Sadie.
Go.
Can you go faster?
Oh my gosh.
Car.
Rebecca, this is part of learning.
You have to make a few mistakes.
Oh my gosh.
She's doing it.
She's doing great.
She's lifting off.
Sadie Zamolo, good job.
And see, you can put your feet down
if you get nervous, okay?
She wants to do it herself,
but I don't really want her to.
Oh my gosh.
Good job.
She's going.
She's doing fine.
Okay.
Oh my gosh.
Wow, Sadie.
Good job.
How does that feel?
Good?
Okay, well Sadie, it's time to go a little bit higher, okay?
So you're gonna go just a little bit faster.
And the goal now is to stay on two wheels.
You are going like this and balancing
and no wheels were touching sometimes
because you were so balanced.
I'm honestly impressed, Zam Fam.
She has made so much progress
and she literally just got this bike.
I am a proud mom right now,
but I'm honestly a little nervous.
Okay, Sadie, the training wheels are a little bit higher,
which means it's gonna be harder
for you to balance with them.
So you're gonna have to do it on your own.
Do you think you can do this?
I got this.
Are you sure?
Yeah.
Okay.
Remember the training.
Pedal fast.
Go, go.
Faster.
Zam Fam, did you see that?
Once she got going,
both of the training wheels were off the ground.
So she doesn't realize this yet,
but she is riding a bike by herself.
Oh.
Hey, Zade.
I'm doing it, Zade.
Daddy, you're taking the training wheels off.
You got this.
No, no training wheels.
Zadie, dad's taking them off,
but he's gonna be holding you the entire time.
Okay, Zadie, dad took off the training wheels
and now you're on a big girl bike,
but I'm gonna be holding you the entire time.
I just want you to get used to being on the bike
without them.
Do you think you can do this?
You think?
You're a little nervous, aren't you?
Well, let's try it.
Move in the back.
You still have to steer.
Where are you steering?
Go that way.
Good job, Miss Zadie.
How's it feel?
Good.
Good?
You're not even nervous?
Good job.
And stop.
Put your feet down.
So how was it, Zadie?
A little bit.
Was it scary?
Yeah.
But, look at Zadie.
Did you fall?
No.
Because mom had you, okay?
And if I say I'm gonna hold on to you,
I'm not gonna let you go, okay?
Would you like me to do it again?
No.
You wanna do it yourself?
No, I don't wanna do it.
Zadie did not ride her bike all by herself
for the first time today,
but she did ride it with training wheels,
and I am so proud of her.
So, Zamfam, cheer her on because I know she can do it,
and when she does, you guys are gonna see it.
High five, Zade.
Zadie didn't ride a bicycle today,
but she did go on a giant water slide.
Today, our daughter, Zadie, is going on a giant water slide
for the first time by herself.
But first, we're starting with a one-dollar experience
using everything that we already had at our house.
Three, two, one, go.
I don't think she's ready to go on a giant water slide.
You just saw Zadie go down this water slide.
She is ready, she can do this,
and now we're gonna go over to the one-hundred-dollar
experience.
There is a giant water slide in Turks and Caicos
that Zadie has been wanting to go on,
and if she can do this by herself,
she will get a giant prize.
Since Zadie turned two,
she has been wanting to do everything by herself,
and we are about to go on a vacation.
I don't think she's gonna be able to do this,
especially since she's only two.
This is the one-hundred-dollar water slide experience.
We got this off Amazon for one-hundred dollars.
I mean, this isn't bad if it actually works.
I don't think she's gonna do this.
Look, okay, just to make it safe,
I'm gonna teach her how to go down first, okay?
So I'll go down first, Zadie.
You wanna watch dad?
Let's do it.
One, two, three.
Turks and Caicos slide right into the pool.
It's that easy.
Does that look like fun?
I bet she's scared.
Are you scared?
No, I don't think she's scared, Rebecca.
No, I think she is.
Okay.
I'll be down here to catch her.
Be careful.
I don't think she's scared.
See?
Nice job, Zadie.
Okay, but it's supposed to be a water slide.
There's no water on it.
Maybe she slides faster with water
and it could be dangerous.
Well, here we go.
Let's find out, okay?
Now there's water on the water slide.
Zadie, try it again.
Okay, remember, you don't have to do this, Zadie.
Turks and Caicos has a lot of other things to do
besides going on water slides.
Three, two, one.
Okay, she went so much faster
and this is just a one-hundred-dollar water slide.
Imagine the thousand-dollar experience.
I can see it in my head
and she's seen the video a lot.
She wants to go on that slide.
I don't think she's ready.
She's only two.
Okay, Zadie, more water.
Are you scared?
Maybe go faster, okay?
Fast.
This is making me a little worried.
This is one thing, this is a kid's slide,
but when we get to Turks and Caicos, those slides, I mean.
Oh, gosh.
Okay, okay.
She loves it.
I think we're definitely keeping this one.
Okay, she might not be afraid of a hundred-dollar experience
but the five-hundred-dollar experience,
there's no way she's going on that
and then she's not gonna be going
on a water slide by herself.
You'll see, Rebecca.
She's got this.
Yes!
This is the five-hundred-dollar water slide experience
and I rented a giant princess slide for Zadie.
Okay, I don't think this is for a two-year-old.
She can do this.
You got this, Zadie.
Zadie, do you want to do this?
No.
See, I think she's scared.
Are you scared?
Uh-uh.
Okay, look at Zadie.
Let's try this again.
If I go down first by myself,
will you go down by yourself afterwards?
Well, that was a yes but not a confident yes.
Well, let me try out the slide just to make sure it's safe
but I'm sure it is.
Okay, but if it doesn't work,
Zadie doesn't have to go on the big water slide
in Turks and Caicos, okay?
You can stay with Mommy in the pool.
No, Rebecca, she's ready for this.
Okay, just go down that slide and we'll see.
Here we go.
There is no way Zadie is going to do this.
She is only two and this thing is giant.
I know people that are 13 that have this at their birthday.
It is a little tight getting in here by yourself.
I'm an adult.
This is for a kid, I think.
Woo!
Playing around.
Oh my gosh, okay.
I got a little wrapped up.
It's pretty cool in here.
Zadie, you're gonna love this.
Or she might not.
She just said she'll love it.
Zadie, you ready?
Three, two, one.
Whoa!
That was so fun!
You wanna try it?
It's fun but probably a little scary.
Are you sure?
Yeah.
I don't know, is she angry or what?
I don't know.
You know what?
She might think it's fun on the bounce house
but she's definitely scared.
Okay, she can do this.
Zadie, you ready to go on the slide with me?
Here we go, let's go.
Okay, she is definitely scared.
Zadie, just have confidence.
You can do this by yourself.
I'll go up there with you
but you have to go down the slide by yourself.
Okay, well let her just go inside,
see if she likes it.
Let's go, Zadie.
I'm a little nervous.
I mean, she talks about going on
this giant water slide there
but I don't think she can actually do it.
She's just a baby.
Go, Zadie, go.
Okay, Zadie.
Woo!
Let's go!
Woo-hoo!
Woo-hoo is right!
Look it, we can jump in here.
Let's go, Zadie, go.
Jump, jump, jump, jump.
Woo-hoo!
She's gonna go, guys.
Three, two, one, go!
She did it!
Oh my gosh, you did it, Zadie!
Did you like it?
I did it!
You liked it?
Yes!
Zadie did it!
Woo!
You had fun?
Was that so fun?
She's doing it.
Okay, she had fun
but that doesn't mean she's not nervous
and this one is a lot smaller
than the giant water slide.
I can't believe she did that herself, ZamFam.
I'm not nervous.
I'm fine!
She's doing it.
If you go down the big water slide by yourself
in Trixie and Kako's, you get a giant surprise.
She's gonna climb it by herself.
Go, Zadie!
Three, two, one, go!
Yes!
Okay, but this other slide's a lot bigger than this.
Rebecca, you know what this means.
What?
She's ready for Turks and Kako's!
You need a vacation!
ZamFam, we have a huge announcement.
We are going to be at VidCon
and we really wanna meet you.
We're gonna be doing a meet and greet
so make sure to go and sign up
and we cannot wait.
We are finally here in Turks and Kako's.
But the next water slide isn't open yet.
So before we do that,
we are gonna face another fear in the water.
Sharks.
Yay!
We are on a glass bottom kayak.
We are gonna go see sharks.
You ready, Zade?
Yes!
It's gonna be so fun.
Zadie has never experienced this before.
I just don't know if it's safe with a child out here.
You saw a turtle?
The water slides are open

she has to be 36 inches tall.
Zadie's not this tall.
What do we do?
Okay, maybe I can talk to somebody and figure this out.
I have to break the news to Rebecca.
Bec.
Hey, what?
I have some bad news.
Zadie's not tall enough to go on the big water slide

But she wants to go.
Why can't she go?
It says that she has to be 36 inches.
She's not that tall.
This is what I was worried about.
Well, as long as Zadie wants to go on the water slide,
I'm gonna make sure that that happens.
I spoke with one of the lifeguards.
Oh, it's Zadie.
And he said if one of us goes on the slide with her,
she can go.
