The moment I got off the plane I caught an Uber and hit the 1 hour drive to La Condesa. On the way the driver stopped and waited for me while I ate some delicious Tamales with Morita con Puerco.
When I arrived at my Airbnb it wasn't ready so I left my bags and continued the street food tour. I crossed the street and there was a small stall with tour ladies making quesadillas, chorizo, tacos and much more. I got a Taco de Chile Relleno and a Mushroom quesadilla. Food was amazing!
Lastly I had to eat Chilaquiles with Green Sauce (the spicier one). It is absolutely delicious! And lastly a quick tour of my one bedroom AirBnB in La Condesa.
If you are heading to Mexico City, Mexico I recommend you stay at this apartment. It's in a safe area and the food is incredible, breakfast solved everyday.

Delicious.
Do you like it?
Too much.
I ate it all, right?
Yes, yes.
Give her a tongue.
Thank you, friend.
Ready, there's cold and everything.
How delicious.
I'm super excited.
I'm super hungry.
It's 9 in the morning.
I got about an hour drive.
There's a lot of traffic here.
This city is famous for its traffic.
It's like never ending.
You can imagine with so many people.
Right now I'm going to my Airbnb.
It's about an hour drive.
Let's see how much traffic we get.
So one thing I love about Uber is that the drivers,
like they'll wait for me.
You pull up here to a little spot right here in the street
and they have tamales.
So we're going to have tamales for breakfast.
So we're just going to host up right here.
Okay, so basically tamale is like a dough.
They mix it with different things.
I got like a spicy one with some pork.
And then they wrap it in a leaf.
This leaf.
Corn leaf.
And they steam it.
This is very typical for breakfast.
Wow, that looks spicy.
Look at that.
Oh, that's incredible.
So I got like an artisan drink.
Like cacao drink.
But it feels like there's some coffee in here.
Spicy tamale.
This is what they love to eat for breakfast.
Oh my God.
You see there's a big piece of pork right here.
That's the pork.
Oh, it's amazing.
The pork with the spicy sauce.
It's almost like a sriracha.
Oh my God.
This is delicious.
The total is 37 pesos.
This drink.
That was so good.
Tamale with spicy sauce.
With pork.
And this drink.
I really don't know what's in it.
But it's so delicious.
And that is what Mexico City is all about.
They have street food everywhere.
As you can see right here.
They have tortas, sandwiches, hot dogs.
They have enchiladas, chilaquiles.
There's so many delicious things to eat here.
That's what we're going to do today.
This is just the beginning of the journey with the food.
Oh man.
Where I'm staying here in Mexico City is in the center.
It's called La Condesa.
This is a very European-style neighborhood.
It's very chic.
It's basically tree-lined avenues.
It's stately Art Nouveau mansions.
And well-maintained Art Deco buildings are there.
I was told it's one of the best places to stay.
And also it's in the center.
So from there I can go north, south, east or west very easily.
The thing is that here there's a lot of traffic.
So you really need to be central.
If not, things take forever.
In case any of you are wondering why I'm fluent in Spanish.
My parents were actually born in Venezuela.
That's my first language.
My parents were born there.
But my father's Hungarian and my mom's Italian.
And then my wife is half Cuban.
And everybody I grew up with in Miami is either Cuban, Argentinian, Central American, Latin American.
Miami is the capital of Latin America.
So I basically grew up with Spanish.
And it definitely makes everything a lot easier in terms of just getting around.
And people just opening up to you.
Language is a gateway to the world.
Thank you very much.
No problem.
I don't know what that is.
Londres 212 Apartments.
Let's see how it says I got this on Airbnb.
Let's see.
Hey, what's up? How are you?
Good morning.
What are those?
Quesadillas.
Pambazos.
Wow, everything looks incredible.
What do you recommend for breakfast?
Anything you like.
Everything looks delicious.
What's this with pepper?
This is taco de chile.
Is it very hot?
Yes.
Yes? Very hot?
No, not much.
Ok.
What's that? Mushrooms?
Mushrooms.
When are we going out?
It looks delicious.
It's not spicy?
No.
So I just like toast it up here on the table with all the condiments.
Oh, this pepper is delicious though.
Mmm, so good.
Muy, muy rico.
Oh, and the white cheese.
What kind of mushrooms are these?
They're local mushrooms.
They're local?
Uh-huh.
Yeah, so these are local mushrooms.
Oh my God.
Another thing Mexico is famous for is obviously their juices.
This is a jugo de guayaba, so guayaba juice.
Wow, really refreshing.
Riquísimo. Gracias.
Both of those together was $17.20 and $17.
So you're looking at whatever that is.
That's $54, I think.
Yeah, alright. Amazing.
That mushroom quesadilla was delicious.
And that pepper taco, oh, so good.
This breakfast food tour is turning out to be amazing.
I'm still looking for some enchiladas and some chilaquiles.
And one thing I want to mention is that I'm staying in a very safe neighborhood.
And I chose this neighborhood because of its safety.
Because Mexico City is not the safest place in the world.
I mean, walking around alone with this camera, it's not a smart idea.
But the great thing is I'm going to be collaborating with a lot of people.
So I'm always going to be with somebody.
And as you can see, this neighborhood looks very European.
Lots of trees, older buildings.
Very nice.
But let's see if we see any more street food vendors.
It's a little hard here just because this neighborhood is more restaurant oriented.
But there's still some stalls around here.
And what I'm looking for now is some enchiladas and some chilaquiles.
Let's see if we find some. Let's go.
So I've been asking everybody, where is the best chilaquiles in the area?
And they told me to come over here to this hole in the wall.
The place is very small, but they say they have the best chilaquiles in the entire area.
Let's go eat chilaquiles.
But you can eat it with meat, with enchiladas, with eggs, with sausage, with everything.
Yes, it's the spicy green sauce.
Ok, perfect. This is breakfast number 3 for me.
Yes, thank you.
Great, thank you.
Ok, so here we have it. Chilaquiles.
This is like, it's basically like chips with cheese, onions, sour cream.
There's chicken, there's some bean mash.
Oh, it's my favorite thing for breakfast.
And I got the green version, which is the spicy version.
Let's see how good this is.
Yes, I'm American.
Well, I'm not a gringo. I'm Venezuelan, but I was born in the United States.
I have a YouTube channel, so I make videos. I've been here for 5 days making videos.
I got here like 3 hours ago, and I'm already digging into the food.
No, there's too much left.
It's not that spicy, right?
It's not that spicy?
It's not that spicy. Do you have anything to add?
Yes, it's not so spicy, but it's pretty delicious.
Imagine putting like chips, and then putting like cheese on top, chicken, onions, and just like making a nice sauce.
I mean, the key is the sauce they make. It's also delicious.
And you get pieces of chicken, and it changes the whole flavor.
Oh yeah, this is a must for breakfast in Mexico.
I haven't even mixed the bean mash yet. Oh, let me try that.
It's an amazing thing.
That's one thing you got to know about coming to Mexico, is you're going to gain weight.
Because the food is so good, and there's so many things to try.
Just right now, I tried 5 different things.
No, 4 different things.
I got to pace myself. I have lunch in a few hours.
It's almost like a nice soup mixed with things.
Done.
Delicious.
Do you like it?
Too much.
I ate everything, right?
Yes, yes.
I get it.
Now it stings.
It's like, now it's sticking up on me.
Alright, let's go see our Airbnb.
Wow, look at this. This is my kitchen.
Here we go.
This is my Airbnb in Condesa.
These are service apartments here at Londres 212.
That is the building.
Beautiful. I mean, this is all I need.
I'm here for 3 days. I'm barely going to be here.
Very nice.
Bathroom is very nice.
What do we got?
Loving the shower.
Everything is perfect. Very clean.
Small kitchen.
Lots of closet space.
I love it.
So, I hope you guys loved this video.
It was an incredible breakfast mini street food tour.
I had to do it.
Just got here. I'm alone.
I got to eat. Love it.
The food here is incredible.
My favorite thing was probably the first thing, the tamales.
The hot tamales with pork.
That was incredible.
That was on the road just coming out of the airport.
I hope you guys loved this video.
If you do, give it a thumbs up.
