Every year before World Falun Dafa Day, the MingHui website asks for contributions to help celebrate the anniversary of the introduction of this meditation practice to the pulbic. It will be 34 Years on 13 May 2026.
This song asks the question why to choose a path living by Honesty, Kindness and Tolerance, the teachings at the heart of Falun Dafa.

Why would you follow the way, when you can't see the path on the ground?
And the voices around you all say, there is fame and there's wealth to be found.
For the way is hard and narrow, and it takes all the courage you've bled.
When the cold winter hunts for the sparrow, there are easier lives to be led.
Why would you speak the truth, when a lie can cover your shame?
And an honest person is hard to find, in a world of deceit and cast blame.
For the way is hard and narrow, and it takes all the courage you've bled.
When the cold winter hunts for the sparrow, there are easier lives to be led.
Why would you forbear the pain, when the path to comfort is clear?
And the things that are hard they drain, and the heart seeks to bear only cheer.
For the way is hard and narrow, and it takes all the courage you've bled.
When the cold winter hunts for a sparrow, there are easier lives to be led.
Why would you care for another? What good does their comfort bring you?
The heart of compassion grows under, and blooms in a heart that is true.
For the way is hard and narrow, and it takes all the courage you've bled.
When the cold winter hunts for the sparrow, there are easier lives to be led.
Why would you follow the way, when you can't see the path on the ground?
When the voices around you all sing, there is fame and there's wealth to be found.
