DAY FOUR of our family vacation in Mexico in partnership with Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort and Spa Andros and I head to the Marietas Islands which are right off the coast from Puerto Vallarta. We went to the Marietas Islands in search of the hidden beach.
The only way to get to the beach is to swim through a cave. We had two wait two hours for the tide to go down enough for us to get into the cave. You only have 30 mins from the second your group jumps in the water until you have to get back on your boat.
It is now one of my favorite beaches I have ever visited!

Hidden beach, once in a lifetime.
Good morning, we're going to Las Islas Marietas.
Hey, good morning.
It's a natural park, it's very close to the hotel, and it's beautiful.
It's pretty much like an island with a hole, looks like a donut.
An island, there's a hole in the middle,
and to get into the beach, which is inside the hole, you have to go in the water.
It's a secret beach.
Just for the two of them.
I don't want to hear it, I don't want to hear it.
It's going to be awesome.
Okay, perfect, perfect.
Enjoy it.
Hello, good morning.
Hello, how are you?
We're going to Las Islas Marietas.
Las Islas Marietas.
Thank God they didn't leave us, dude.
Where are you from, bro?
From Miami.
Miami?
You?
San Diego.
Short flight.
There was no direct flights out of San Diego.
I had to go to LA.
We're going to be in Dallas until, because the airport's going to be closed.
We don't know how long.
All right, all right.
Go ahead, my friend.
Ready to go.
Sterling, David, pleasure.
Here we go.
Listo, listo.
Ready.
So right now, we're going to go to Puerto Vallarta to pick up the rest of the passengers,
and from there, we're going to move on to Marietas Island.
Don't worry about it.
All right, so there's three rules when you go to Las Islas Marietas.
Use of life vests is going to be mandatory for all of us, even the guides.
Rule number two, the use of sunblock is going to be really restricted.
Actually, right now is the last opportunity for you guys to wear your sunblock.
And rule number three, well, it's not a rule, but you have to be a good swimmer.
Meters are going to be inside of a cave.
And if you question your swimming skills, you're not a good swimmer.
Yeah, exactly.
If you're questioning yourself, you're not a good swimmer, my friend.
Let me tell you.
Like 45 minutes.
45 minutes.
Okay.
Hold on.
Marietas Island is a national park, and we have exactly three main big islands,
six little cenotes around them, making a mini archipelago.
And also, it's considering as a bird sanctuary because we have 92 different species of birds
nesting and living in the area.
40% of them, they are indigenous birds from Marietas Island,
and 60% they are migratory birds, the ones that we're going to find in Marietas Island.
The main island right here on the left-hand side, it's called the Round Island.
Second island, and it's one of the biggest ones, it's called Long Island because it's long,
you know.
And the third and smallest island, it's called El Morro because it's the smallest island that
we're going to find right over here.
We have six little cenotes around.
Very unique thing about these islands is this second place where the bobo bird lives.
They live here, and they also live in the Galapagos.
And then what we're going to do today is we're going to go snorkeling, right?
Uh-huh.
And then we're going to go to the hidden beach.
To the hidden beach.
Marietas Island has been doing this for many, many years,
having used these islands as a camping area.
Painters, Nal Cortez, come all the way down here to America.
All this area, they use it to camp.
So we're going to get close to the cave.
This cave is better known as the Cave of the Bridge,
and it's actually very same like the hidden beach,
but without beach, all right?
We're gonna get some helmets now.
Let's do it.
The hidden beach, we made it.
Hidden beach, once in a lifetime.
Here, Marietas.
Probably one of my favorite beaches I've ever been to.
I mean, I wish we had more time, you know?
Oh, it's awesome.
You should come here.
Top three beaches I've ever been to,
and almost impossible to get to.
You can come out here and you might not even go in
because the tide's too high.
And sorry, guys, I'm boiling here.
This dude drives cool.
I made it, I made it.
Oh my god.
Oh, I'm so happy I made it.
I haven't eaten in, basically, I didn't eat breakfast.
I ate like nothing.
All right, so that was probably the quickest lunch
I've ever had in my life.
It took me like three minutes to eat everything.
I'm gonna go see my family and go to the pool.
And tonight, we're going to Bamboo Restaurant.
It's a Japanese restaurant here at the resort.
Sushi and sashimi.
You're back.
I'm back.
Man, you look a little burnt.
I know, and I'm used to the sun, everything.
I mean, the sushi bar, it's quite good.
I recommend you, like, fried sushi.
Oh, fried sushi?
Okay, fried rolls.
I got a lot of sushi.
To the Palladium.
Palladium, yeah.
Thank you, guys.
Thanks.
You had a great time.
Tequila in Mexico.
Viva Mexico.
Que viva.
Salud.
It's a little hot.
Eggplant, very nice.
We went a little all out right now.
We got some noodles, satay, shrimp, salmon.
Oh, man.
Where are we going, buddy?
We're gonna have a drink to say goodbye to Palladium.
A gin and tonic, Danny style.
Danny's tonic.
And where is this, the lobby bar?
Yeah, it's the lobby bar.
This bar, it's part of TRS.
It's the adults only section.
So, as you see, it's very quiet, private.
So, and it's raining.
We gotta go.
Cheers, Palladium.
Okay, so the difference between tequila and mezcal is that tequila is made from the blue
plant and mezcal is made from like four different ones.
So, you have to kiss it because it's really strong.
Sixty percent, right?
Sixty percent?
Sixty-five percent.
It has passion fruit, vodka, mango vodka, pineapple juice, liqueur 43, and lime juice.
This is passion in my eggplant martini.
This was invented by our friend Jonathan with a double H.
It's delicious.
I don't think any alcohol can just drink this all day.
Cheers.
Hey, thanks, dude.
Thanks.
Thanks for everything.
I'll see you on YouTube.
It was a good day.
We woke up at 6 a.m.
We saw everything, the marietas.
Oh my god, I think we did too much.
All right, guys, day four done.
Let's go.
