Hey, good morning everyone. Day 3 here at the Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort.
Today we have an exciting day. We're headed to Sayulita, a colorful fishing village about 25 minutes north of the resort.
There we're going to have lunch. We're going to get some pictures. It's going to be beautiful.
But before that, we're going to the kids club breakfast so my daughter can have some fun there.
We're going to do that right now and it's right here at the Portofino restaurant.
Good morning. How are you? Good.
We're going to start.
This is fun.
Did she love it or what?
I think she loved it.
Yeah, right?
Alright, so now time for some real breakfast. Mexican food.
Two tortillas with beef and crema and guacamole.
And I don't know what that is but it looks really good.
Nice, good food, huh?
Always.
Well, I ate it yesterday so I know it's amazing.
Hi guys, we're going to Sayulita. It's a surf town and it's very close from the hotel.
It's a Pueblo Magico, a very typical place from here.
So it's going to be a good adventure today.
Sayulita, here we go.
Bye bye.
Very bumpy.
It's like a beach town with cobblestone streets and stores and bars.
It looks nice.
We made it.
Yeah, we made it.
We're excited.
Do you want to go down and then come up?
Yeah.
So we have a lot of restaurants, a lot of little stores.
Hostels, huh? A lot of hostels here.
Hostels, restaurants, shops, everything.
How many years did they have that road? I mean, it should be like 10 years?
Yeah, 10 years.
Wow.
The driver told us this area is 8 years old and they start with the surf tournaments.
But it's not only 8 years old. I mean, it's just 8 years it's become famous.
Yeah.
Before that it was a village.
Yeah.
Yeah, a small fishing village here on the water.
I'm going to hunt for a mask.
I collect masks and I like these a lot.
I actually love that one over there.
But I think we're going to wait for the market because I'm sure it's going to be cheaper.
These are just regular stores.
Yeah.
I mean, there's also these.
They're really cool.
Look at this.
But they're very expensive, about 300 bucks.
I'm going to go for this one.
Alright, follow me to the market.
A lot, right?
It's beautiful, isn't it?
How much is it?
200 pesos.
200?
Yeah, it's coming.
This plaza is called Sayulita Plaza.
So, square of Sayulita.
Oh, I love it.
Oh, I love that one too. Look at that.
Perfect.
Two coconuts.
Alright, I'm going to do it.
Can I do it?
Yes.
Yes?
Yes, you have to hit it.
Alright.
I'm tired, I'm tired.
Guys, me like a pro.
Popote, here.
Popote.
Each one is like $2.50.
Oh my God, so worth it.
This is amazing.
Gracias, man.
Cheers.
Cheers, buddy.
Oh my God.
So, we're having lunch at Don Pedro's.
You want some?
Oh my God, this is the best thing ever.
I'm going to take this piece right here.
Dude, I could eat this all day.
Amazing.
So, I got a craft beer from Allende.
It's a craft brewery here in Mexico.
Allende, Indian Pale Ale.
Cheers.
Sayulitas.
Refreshing.
Very good.
Wow.
The mayo.
I like that term.
It's starting to get really hot.
I'm boiling right now.
It is right here to the left, right there.
So, after walking around the whole town,
couldn't really find masks,
so this is the selection we have.
We're going to go with a small one.
It's 500 pesos, which is basically,
it's a little less than $30.
Ana, which one do you like?
I like the white.
I like the purple.
For me, it's the white one or this one?
This one's really cool.
I'll take the purple.
It's the most colorful, right?
I like that one.
Okay, so I'm taking this one, guys.
No me lo rompes.
Wow.
Gracias.
Está muy lindo.
Ana, this is ours.
Oh, it's great.
Do you like it?
I love it.
She's scared of it.
It's a little soft, that papier-mâché, yeah.
But we have to buy some more stuff, no?
Alright, so we saw Sayulita.
It's a beautiful little town.
Very colorful.
Great place to buy souvenirs.
If you want to go surfing, the beach is very chill.
But if you just want to see it,
go to the beach, have lunch.
You can do this as a half day or a full day.
Or you can even stay here.
There's hostels and hotels as well.
So that's it.
That's Sayulita.
I'll see you guys back at the hotel.
Okay, so it's time to go surfing.
It's been a long time.
What's up, man?
Estoy listo para ir a surf.
Sí, creo que sí.
We're going to surf.
Estos son nuestros.
You take this one.
Okay.
And you take the same one from yesterday.
Perfect.
Is your back hurting?
A little bit, yeah.
Tonight's dinner is at a restaurant
called Ribs and More here at the resort.
And it's basically barbecue, ribs,
and oh, I can't wait, steak.
This is so you can accompany your meat.
Onion ring.
One of the cool things about the restaurant
is the menus are cowhide, as you can see.
So we're eating steak.
My wife's going with the ribeye.
They say it's amazing.
And I'm going with the cowboy steak.
It's 600 grams.
It's a huge steak.
It's very thick.
You know, it's meant for two people.
My friend Daniel says he eats it all the time.
So I'm sure I can do it.
Let's see how far I can get into it.
Ribeye steak.
Cowboy.
So here I have it.
The cowboy steak.
600 grams of deliciousness.
Alright, I survived.
Basically, what's left is the bone and fat.
A little cheese.
So that steak was delicious.
And now we got some dulces.
I gotta jump in one of these.
And that's a wrap for day three.
Tomorrow we're going to Las Islas Marietas.
If you look that up on Google,
you're going to see it's amazing.
Cheers.
Day three's a wrap.
Cheers, babe.
Cheers.
