THIS MATCH BROKE THE INTERNET France vs Japan Volleyball Battle

10th through the first three matches sends in a sneaky one that wobbled over the net cord but once it got picked up that was an easy put away and again France stay with the middles Chinonyeze again. It's a cheap point for France and Onodera looking to make amends. Grebennikov is there to deny him and Gapeth swinging through that's coming back and somehow kept alive off the Legoff push and then again kept alive and Gapeth turns setter no he doesn't get it back and has to do a little reverse flip over how sweet was that well we didn't have to wait long to see Gapeth show off his creativity. Here he is at the service line again nicely picked up good pass Nishida sends it back again really good service reception coming in from Japan I think it was Taka Ran Takahashi this time again sent it down the line Ishikawa picked it up and then drilled it down again side out Ishikawa going with a little bit of a no line attack right now that challenge Sakita again too soft to serve it was going to get demolished to Bartolome Chinonyeze gobbles those up for breakfast lunch that winds up a big aggressive one and again Yamamoto absolutely outstanding on reception and Nishida threads that one down the line again Yamamoto is doing such a good job in that backcourt wobbles one over serving and Gapeth again Brizard sends it back side Hatari is contained by Takahashi Ishikawa is picked up on the cross court by and Gapeth who will just push over there gets the better of the block drops it in front of back row simple as that challenging serves are coming in here Yamamoto again gets underneath it Ishikawa runs into the block Chinonyeze you were saying four blocks make it five that's three in a row and they continue to serve Grebennikov that's a big hit lovely pickup from Sakita Nishida with a cross court set and Gapeth is sending that one back as well a real high ball Sakita will feed the middle and that's good enough again this time it's Akihiro Yamauchi finishing the job Brizard really nice pass once again Sakita just has to feed Nishida oh that is a superb pass I think it's Takahashi pick that one up side out here and need to just put some pressure on picked up by Tilly it's going to be contained Takahashi is denied scramble stuff here brilliant work there defensively but and Gapeth comes in and says well bring that back and they have they've kept it alive and they're not keeping that one alive though Nikolai Ligov said you've had your fun Gapeth got stuck over the net watch him go for the fake quick attack nobody bites on it Ligov so Japan clinging on to this lead here oh Tilly with a really nice take there and ripping it down the line as well what a pickup that was from Tilly and a nice finish as well a little bit Takahashi serving Engapeth, Engapeth goes cross court Yamamoto's picked it up brilliantly and in comes Nishida and that's a shame it's another great chance well his default position is to go aggressive Engapeth gets under it swings from the three meter line sends it down the line Nishida is there to pick that one up and it'll be Ishikawa going cross court to bring up set point Japan really well played point there from Japan no this was terrific execution lovely Yamamoto again just a wonderful pass and an even better block from Boye wow what a move by Boye I was just thinking to myself Boye stayed in and perhaps France needs coach Gianni not afraid to bring him in when needed Nishida skims one off the net called Brizard goes inside quickly and Chenenyeza says thank you very much and they have not been able to stop that oh my goodness every hit in this match from Yamauchi picked up by Engapeth and he'll have third touch on that one blocked by Onodera Engapeth blocked out again Ran Takahashi will take all the credit for that one this is better from Japan picking up the block point Takahashi saying no Yamauchi, Engapeth picks that one up incoming a real hot swing there from Cleveno but it's picked up again Boye who's able to take that and Boye will look for the cross court and dropped it nicely between the feet of Akihiro Yamauchi who just could not adjust in time Sakita sends it backside and another confident swing from Yuji Nishida which these servers off the bench hate doing that one that one is a very different animal indeed he sent a sneaky ace down off Onodera Engapeth hangs that one up there that's Boye flying through and there is the stuff oh on set point Ishikawa sends that back the biggest moment of this match so far wow what a stuff down by Ishikawa goes short it's clever just about picked up Nishida he's taken too long way too long are we going to see a five setter that's the question Engapeth with a big serve to get this fall set underway now they're in system and Cleveno can rip it but Nishida's picked that one up beautifully just a dump and hope swing there from Ishikawa and hope is extinguished by Chinen Yezo who continues to gobble up the points here we know he's got an ace in him goes for a mid-range one and Ishikawa runs into the block that's a great rescue there from Takahashi but another containing block now Nishida sets Ishikawa and what a finish that is off and Nishida sent as well really well played point by Japan Ishikawa's hammering the ball as nice pickup from Takahashi Nishida Chinen Yezo serving Takahashi Sekita will send it to Takahashi that's a big hit somehow Boye has kept that alive did he catch the line he did what a swing from Irvin and Engapeth, Engapeth picks that up but Brizar is struggling Legoff tries to get him out of trouble and does, Brizar's done really well they're on his knees one-handed, Ran Takahashi staying on serve skims it over there Cleveno picks it up off his knees that's also picked up by Takahashi is there a push there there is from Brizar but now Sekita will send it over to Ishikawa who demolishes it Yuki Ishikawa sends a big one in Grebennikov scrambling around this is a tough take for Boye and he's blocked out of it completely straight down the throat of Akihiro Yamauchi who sent it back with interest and that pretty much well off net Engapeth will look to keep the pressure on and he has done Ishikawa again too good too good it's called in Shinineze sends it down the line Ishikawa picks that up Ishikawa will swing into the block and they got a chance here France Brizar tight angle demolished by Boye oh they're level some come back this Boye one of the highest flyers and they will have control of this absolutely vital they side out Japan Takahashi is blocked out of it Shinineze says plot point number three for here can he find something serves Engapeth it's a pretty comfortable Mishida oh Sekita's got to do some work here and it's even better on the back side oh my goodness me what an important hit that was Clevno serves Yamamoto quick take there Clevnos managed to keep it alive who's going to push this it's a clever push Engapeth I think got there to redeem himself wonderful Clevnos serve is picked up by Ishikawa Sekita sends it over to Nishida who fights off another match point match point Sekita sends it to Nishida again it's kept alive this Engapeth for the match and that'll do it the Olympic champions the VNL champions survive a huge test
