it's good as i said i've been playing really well in the qualifiers oh beautiful not a bad second serve there deep and into the body but lasted two hours 32 minutes that match she took three hours in the next match when she was beaten by rebecca shramkova goal made it what a beautiful shot and she was celebrating before it had landed there there's so much to admire about masterful yeah we talk about margins don't we often in tennis and there even though victor easily in the semi hasn't played since then that's just beautiful really well played first win on clay since the palermo final in july 2024 for karolina mukuba who continues her relentless pursuit of a return to the top 10 dispatches qualifier alexandra sasdovich in two sets two and four it's a good return to the tour after a couple of weeks break for karolina mukuba this really has been oh the lucky touch that is some shot oh and she gets the biggest slice of luck goodness me oh a bit of a misjudgment i think that inside or slip yeah that's brutal that is more like it inside of the forehand lovely pass not even mertens at the net is stopping that one forehand bar the little blip oh yeah no getting to that just another glorious touch from mertens which she takes back in the set either way chance for mertens to make it three games in a row and she has never in doubts once she unleashed the backhand all right she's done it quality pass for malice mertens tough match much much tougher than maybe it was expected oh in the corner that is flush in the corner there she finally wins a title such a talent yeah lovely work from fernandez there wasn't it no not getting that not getting that good tell the moment it left fernandez's racket that was going to be a winner oh what a forehand behind the island who was trying to get herself back into the middle of the court oh that is a sublime point and the island comes out the right side of it i mean first things first at times she was back to her brilliant best and other times it all got a little nervy for fernandez but i'll tell you what she'd have taken that at the start of the match a straight sets win against a tough opponent in alexandra iala first set on fire second set a little bit of a wobble but it is a straight sets win for leila fernandez here in stuttgart just under an hour and a half that's a double fault from everly's what a great start that's nicely done again by barossa nicely done caught the line almost a wrong foot but also there with the angle trouble and she's had no done by everly's lovely timing on that backhand oh that is stunning from palomarosa oh she's made it stunning winner again elise three month wait is over what a comeback victory for a release look to be completely out of this down a set and a double break to the former semi-finalist but she came roaring back what a performance a few struggles for her opponent as well but take nothing away from a release who desperately wanted that win two six seven five six four terrific play from tomorrow corpatch just giving yourself an early opportunity here superbly done found the gap now outstanding from schneider outstanding schneider just seems to have stepped it up a little here he's dealt with again by corpatch corpatch doing everything she could to try and stay in that rally but well she had to battle hard at times diana schneider she did win eight of the last nine games to make the school line up really comfortable she moves on to the second round in stuttgart she will take on elena rebacking her the number one seed it's a good win for diana schneider coming through it in two sets three and four to the disappointment of the home crowd in stuttgart a lovely winner love holding the first game but now alexander is getting some inroads into someone's getting very good depth and alexander but dealt with it really well oh that's a smashing backhand not the first winner we've seen like that but probably the completes the job to hold serve the tricky experience in class there first time that nelson has played anyone ranked anywhere near this high in the world just gone into a second hour now which is always something most players like to look for no return match point pinpoint again another winner on the forehand from yukatrina alexandrova who brushes aside her recent problems 60 beats in seven could be behind her now as she sweeps aside the challenge of gabriella nutson on only her third ever appearance in the main draw of a wga tour event six two six two in an hour and four minutes
