Teriyaki salmon one pot noodle in just 10 minutes.
It takes just 10 minutes to cook, this is ace.
Super speedy and it is amazing.
And all these ingredients now are available everywhere.
Yeah.
So we've got some salmon, some teriyaki sauce which is going to marinate the salmon in,
some bok choy, spring onions, some coriander, some bean shoots and some dried noodles.
These are egg noodles.
So I've got a teriyaki sauce and a little bit of sesame oil.
So I'm just going to use about 100 ml of teriyaki sauce.
And whilst you do that, I'm just going to prep some veggies.
So we've got some spring onions which I'm going to cut into little slices on a bias
and some bok choy.
You've got the skin on your salmon here.
If you get salmon fillets and they haven't got their skin on, that's absolutely fine too.
Makes no difference at all.
So we're going to cut our bok choy in half and paste it into a pan.
I'm going to take our dry noodles here and just take those and put those in half.
They just cut and come in half and put those into the pan.
And those noodles are going to be almost the sort of bed that the salmon sits on.
So with the salmon, you can marinate it.
You could sit it in your fridge in the morning, make this in the evening.
The longer you marinate it, the more richer it is, but it doesn't make that much difference.
No.
So we're going to use some stock.
Yeah, I've got a stock cube here.
That's a litre, so you just go a little bit further than half.
There we go, 700.
Without your glasses.
No, I can't see.
Spring onions.
We've got some greens and some whites.
The whites we usually cook.
The greens we're going to keep as a garnish.
So I'm going to take these greens and put them into a separate bowl
because we're going to add those to the salmon later on.
Some diced chilli and some sliced chilli.
I'm going to take the seeds out and I'm going to dice some chilli
for the actual poaching and steaming of the salmon.
And then I'm going to slice the chillies to go across the top.
It's a really fresh dish this, isn't it?
It's so good and it's so easy.
And really, it cooks in 10 minutes,
but it takes about 20 minutes in total from the time you walk in the door.
Yeah.
So that's done and then we get almost ready to rock and roll.
There we go.
So there's our stock.
So our stock now goes over the top of our noodles and our veg.
I'm going to bring that to the boil.
So we've got our salmon marinated, ready to go.
And then in a bowl, got some greens and spring onions.
Yep.
Some bean shoots and a bit of coriander,
just to pick some coriander goes into here.
They're very good for you, bean shoots, aren't they?
Well, I think they're probably because they're the shoots of a bean.
They've probably got lots of energy in them, wouldn't they?
Can you turn those potatoes on while they're behind you?
Do you mind?
On?
Yeah, please.
And now I've got that ready to go and we're just going to now,
I'm just going to do some chilies, but on an angle.
So you can do as much, as little as you like.
Chilies.
The hottest part of a chili is this bit, the white and the seeds.
The actual flesh around the outside is not too hot.
And if you want to know how hot a chili is,
you just take the bottom off and give it a try.
Touch it on your nose.
Touch it on your nose?
No, don't, because it makes it red.
You tried to trick me, Lisa.
You nearly did it, which I think is mad seeing as you're the chili king.
Well, no, because you told me to do what I do.
Everything you tell me to do.
Yeah, right.
Okay, I do.
So the first bit here, we've got our stock boiling
and the noodles are almost cooking and our veg there.
And now we lay the salmon across the top.
So what I tend to do as well is I just turn over these nests
because they'll have started cooking on the bottom.
And just give them a little turn like that.
Those are all ready.
I could turn these.
Do you want me to turn those?
You don't need to.
And then take your salmon and put your salmon into the pot.
Now, this is beautiful as it is.
It just looks really, really pretty.
And then pour the rest of your teriyaki sauce in there.
So we don't need any other seasoning.
There's sesame oil.
There's the teriyaki, which is a mixture of soy and rich growing things.
And then our greens of our spring onions go across and into the corner there.
So they look pretty still.
And then on goes our lid again.
And that's going to cook now for six minutes.
Happy?
And in six minutes, that is going to be absolutely perfect.

Remember, the recipe is in the description.
So our salmon has been going away, just poaching and steaming.
The thing about steam is that steam penetrates really quickly.
So anything you steam cooks really, really well.
Yeah.
But this sort of poach, you can smell in here.
Go on, you go.
Go on, you're going to do it.
Oh, look at that.
Everything you need for your dinner is in here.
Noodles, your veg, your chili, your spring onions.
And then our little garnish here, which is our bean shoots and our chilies.
And coriander.
And coriander all mixed together.
And some greens of the spring onions, which just makes that extra freshness.
You always mix it in a bowl first, don't you?
I do make a little salad, like a little sort of a herby salad.
I always think you've got to use twice as many herbs.
I think you're right.
I think it's necessary.
Sesame seeds, because my wife loves them.
And some crispy onions, also because...
I love them too.
Absolutely love them.
So some sesame seeds over the top.
So our noodles.
And all that stock in there is beautiful.
Our bok choy.
And everything's just cooked together beautifully.
Yeah.
And really not for very long at all.
No.
Just want to be gentle.
Do you want salmon?
Yes, please.
Or you know.
I do like.
Yeah, thank you.
Over the top there.
So let's get these, a few springies.
Like that.
And then that lovely broth.
Yeah.
One more for luck.
One for luck.
Some little salad across the top.
Some crispy onions for my Lisa.
Now, which way are you going with this, Lisa?
What do you mean?
Are you going the bowl or the pan?
I'm going to go bowl.
Okay, well, I'll swap you.
You go that way, I'll go that way.
Because I actually really like this from the pan.
Like after a night at yoga.
Right, when we're absolutely starving.
My God.
Look at this.
Mix all your bits together.
And the salmon.
Look how perfectly cooked the salmon is.
Come on, hurry up.
Yeah, but look, I just want to show everybody this.
Look.
Perfectly cooked.
Absolutely delicious.
Falling apart salmon.
Look.
Flaking in little shards.
How come you've got a little tiny one and I've got.
You'll see why she's the size that she is.
And I'm the size I am.
It's divine.
The whole thing is delicious.
And I'm not a great salmon fan, but this is fantastic.
Yeah.
You're going to love this.
Teriyaki salmon, one pot noodle in just 10 minutes.
It's fab.
Really fab.
I'm still eating.
Yum.
