Does it look clear? Is it good? I have this little thing on my computer that I can kind of like look at and see if everything looks good and if it sounds good. And I have like a little I don't know, like a green bar that shows the volume and it's like I think it looks good, I think it sounds good but I have no idea. And if I Okay. If I unmute the video that you guys are seeing it ends up creating an echo so it's hard to tell if it's working. Let's see if everybody says. Woohoo! Okay, they're working. Hey, hey, really? Okay. Actually, you know, this is a new webcam from the last time we did a live show and it's, I think it's fuzzy because I sit so far away from it because I tested it on a couple different things and it looked really good but now it looks a little fuzzy. I think it has a little bit to do with the lighting that's in here. It's definitely better than the other camera and it works with the cords I need it to work with. But it is, it's a little bit fuzzy. One of these days I'll get some better lighting. If I would have done this earlier we would have just had natural lighting and that would have been a little bit better. Also I think you can go down and you can change on the video player, you can change your settings to 720 because this is being broadcast in 720 so it would be HD so that might make it a little bit clearer too. I don't actually know if that'll work for you but if it does, let me know. Okay. You can probably hear all my clicking. All my clicking. Oh, I clicked the wrong thing too. I had a list and I lost it, so hopefully I can remember all of those things. Some of you may have noticed if you follow us on Facebook that, if you follow us on Facebook it was for like the last month or so, maybe? We were asking you guys to go and vote for Dr. Tim. For those of you that might be new and don't know. Sorry, my nose is itchy. For those of you that don't know, Dr. Tim is a real veterinarian from Marquette, Michigan and he's the one that makes the dog food that the girls eat and he was in a competition to... He was nominated as America's Top Veterinarian. America's Top Veterinarian. There was 20 people that made it into the final rounds of the nominations and then those 20 people it all went to a voting system. So you had to go vote for these veterinarians and we posted a couple times to ask you guys to vote for Dr. Tim and we found out yesterday that he won. So thank you guys, like a million times for voting and for helping Dr. Tim to win America's Best Veterinarian. We thought that was pretty cool. He emailed us yesterday to let us know that he won and then he posted it and we shared it on our Facebook. So he won which is awesome and I wanted to make sure to tell you guys that. Um... I had a list but I don't know what to do with it. Uh... What else was I gonna tell you? Oh! Most of you know not all of you know, but most of you know we have Shelby, where are you going? Shelby! Shelby! Shelby! Most of you know we have multiple channels. We have this channel which is the dogs channel. We have a vlog channel and then we have a gaming channel. Which hopefully we'll get back into gaming again soon since it's starting to not be so nice outside. It's cold here today. Um... But anyway our vlog channel used to be called Now you can still use that link to get to the channel, but we've actually changed the title of the channel. You can now go to to get to that channel. We've changed everything over to Snow Dogs Vlogs and the name of the channel. We changed all of our intros and outros. We even started a Facebook page. Um... To go with it. We thought it was kind of neat, kind of different. Um... Fit better in with what we were doing. We actually had people who were newer that took that name and they actually thought that the dogs were never on that channel. Um... I had somebody tell me that they thought that those were videos from before... You got a toy? From before we had dogs? Bring it here. I'll throw it. So... We went through and we changed the channel name. And then for those of you that are asking, the gaming channel is YouTube.com slash ArcadeSnowDogs So those are our three channels. I hung it on my door and she was barking at it like crazy. So I took the camera out and I took a video of her. I think it was even before I started doing videos of the dogs. I'll have to look and do it as a flashback video. But anyway... I got out one of my Halloween boxes yesterday and I got some of my pumpkins and stuff out. And this was in the top of the box and right away Shelby was growling at it. And I'm like, really? You really don't like it? No? Want it? One more? You don't like it, do you? You just make these little funky noises. You're so funny. Okay, I'll set it right there. Nobody will bother you with it. Oakley, I got it out yesterday and Oakley jumped at it a couple times. She was a little freaked out by it. Okay. Let's see here. If I can... Is Memphis still afraid of her own shadow? I don't know. We haven't had a power outage lately. We should probably do that one day and make shadow puppets on the wall and see if she's still afraid of her shadow. She is still afraid of the basement. I don't know why. That was so loud for me. My dad yelled, was that really loud? I wasn't even reading the comments. I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was so loud. That's funny. They're not scared anymore. No, they're not scared anymore. I can't read everybody's comments. I can read some comments, but I can't read everybody's comments because they kind of just go flying around. Okay, let's get to some comments. My Husky puppy is eight months old and his ears are still floppy down. Is this okay? When are they supposed to go up? Husky puppies ears should be up before eight months old. If they're not, it could be due to cartilage damage in their ear or more likely it could be due to not the greatest breeding or is it possibly a mixed breed? If it's a mixed breed, that could be another reason. There's a lot of reasons that their ears aren't going up, but they should be up already by eight months old. Oh, I should show you guys this. Most of you guys know that I like Nightmare Before Christmas. If you don't, I like Nightmare Before Christmas. It's my second most favorite movie of all time. I picked this up today. You see that? I don't know if you can see it. What? You can't? This is my cup. This is my water cup. It sparkles. It's mine. You can't push on it when I'm trying to drink it. You push it in my lip and it will hurt. Silly! Silly! How do you get your... How do you convince your parents to get you another Husky? I have no advice for that. I was never good at convincing my parents to get me a dog. Do you still have the Bissell vacuum cleaner that Shelby was featured on? I don't have the vacuum cleaner, but... What are you doing? I do have the box. Actually, I have two of the boxes, but I don't have the vacuum cleaner anymore. I have a sore throat. Having a sore throat makes talking hard. What are you guys doing? Why are we... Why are we hiding behind the... Foot rest. Weirdos. You're such weirdos. When do you suggest getting a Husky? When you know that you can take care of it. Hehehehe Um... When you know that you're able to have the time that they need. You'll know when the time is right. Dogs take a lot of time and a lot of energy and a lot of effort. If you're not ready to give a ton of your time to your pet, then you're probably not ready just yet. Where did you get the Nightmare Before Christmas cup? I got it at Walgreens. I got that and I got a little Jack... I don't even know where I set it. I got a little Jack figurine. I don't know if you guys have seen in the vlog, I have all my Nightmare Before Christmas stuff on my fireplace mantel. It's like Halloween all year round. Um... I don't have all of it there, but I have a lot of it there. But I set them up there. I did! I did! I did! I was so excited! They had snow globes at Walgreens too. Well, they didn't have any, but they had the space where they had all these snow globes and I totally would have bought them but they didn't have any and the lady said she's hoping they'll get more in. Yeah, so they have these really cool Nightmare Before Christmas snow globes at Walgreens and I want some, but they didn't have any. I think there's three different ones. So I'm gonna have to look for those. We only have one Walgreens though, so if they don't get any more in, then I... I'll have to find somebody to find them for me. Uh... Is a Husky a hard breed when you're not an outdoors person? I would say that any dog is probably a hard breed if you're not... Well, I guess it depends on what you mean by outdoors person, like you just don't... like you're not a camping and a hiking person. Or like you just don't like going outside. Because, I guess that would be two different things. How old were they when their tails puffed out? You know, I don't even know. Memphis' tail is pretty poofy. It's not as poofy as Shelby's and Oakley's. I mean, nobody's tail is as poofy as Oakley's. Look at your poofy tail. Look at this poofy tail. Look at your fluffy tail. I know, you're fluffy. What? Say Mama? Mama! Mama? I love Mama! Do the girls have a favorite dog chew? The antlers, by far, which I need to buy some more of them because I've got a couple that are getting small enough that I have to throw away. Uh... Do they shed a lot? Yes. Anybody that tells you any different is lying. They shed a lot. Anybody that tells you they only shed twice a year is lying. They shed all year round. They shed exceptionally bad twice a year, when they blow their coats. But they shed all year round. Every day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There's dog hair in everything I do. There's dog hair in everything I do. If you guys have never seen that, there's a song on YouTube called, There's Dog Hair in Everything I Do. Hilarious. You should watch it. We should see if we could do a music video for them. That would be fun. Memphis has a raccoon like tail. You do! That must be why I picked you. Because you have a raccoon like tail. And raccoons are my favorite animal. No? Because I played with your tail, you're gonna play with her tail? Uh... How do you deal with Oakley's anxiety of going into and out of doorways and such? It took Oakley quite a while to get over... Don't... It took her quite a while to get over that, going in and out of doorways. And I can't say she's fully over it, because there's still times where we'll let her out and we'll go to let her back in and she'll make it to the door and she'll stop. And then you have to like convince her that the door isn't scary and nobody's gonna slam her in the door and she's gonna be fine. Just time and patience. You know? Food. Coaxing her with food. That works. What is the best thing about a Husky? Their personalities. I don't know what it is. I mean, I've been around dogs my whole life. You know, I grew up with St. Bernard's. I've been around dogs my whole life. I think that um... Their personalities are just so different from any other breed of dog. I mean, every dog has a personality, but there's just something special about a Husky's personality. What are you doing? They make me laugh every single day. Every day. Like right now. What are you doing? Hey. You. I'm talking to you. What are you doing to Shelby? Are you just... Are you just laying on her head? Is that it? Oh, you wanna play with her. I see. Yeah, I hear ya. Yes, Lisa. Memphis is scared of the basement. Which I think is irrational. Because there's no reason for her to be scared of the basement. But she is. She's scared of the basement. If my puppy does have I missed that one. Hold on. If my puppy does have ear cartilage is it really bad? Well, all dogs have I mean their ears have it's like a cartilage that makes up their ears. If it's damaged, is it really bad? No. It just means that their ears might be floppy. That's all. It's not a bad thing. Oh, my phone's dying. Oh no! We're gonna lose connection with the outside world. Oh no, wait. We have the internet. We're good. Looks like Memphis is going for all the attention. Of course. Oh my gosh! It's going too fast! Is Memphis the most mischievous? Yes. Currently. Probably because she's a puppy. There's still things that she's very interested in where the other dogs used to be and now realize they're not as exciting as they thought. Are you still whining? Really? You made the bell ring in the background. I heard the doorbell ring. I know. Mama. Really? You too, huh? You are chatty today. You're very chatty. Don't bark right here though because we'll all be deaf. All of us. We'll all be deaf. I will be deaf. I'm telling you. You won't be deaf, but I'll be deaf. Oh my gosh. I thought you were going to jump on me. What are you doing? You're crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy. What else do you have? Don't bark right there. We will all be deaf. Do the girls get into howling matches? Yes. I have... You guys have seen the drop cam that I have. We actually have another camera that we're going to be reviewing hopefully within the next month or so. Once they get all their apps worked out. It's called a MeShare. It's kind of like the drop cam. But anyway, we have the drop cam and we can actually watch what the dogs do when we're not home and it will track like if there's sound or motion or whatever and it'll put little points so I can see what's going on. It's basically our security system. It texts me if something happens and I've caught them howling a few times on the camera. I should upload those. That would be funny. Are you whining too? You're going to make the audience deaf. You're going to make them deaf. Why did you want to start your YouTube videos? It's a great thing, but I want to hear the story behind starting YouTube. They're afraid you've gone crazy because you're talking to no one. They don't understand the internet. I don't know. I think my dogs understand the internet. Anyway, back to the other question. Why did we start doing YouTube? I've been on YouTube since May of 2006 was when I started my very first channel and I watched a lot of YouTubers. Basically, to make a long story short, I had uploaded some videos for fun and to share with family and friends and stuff like that. I don't know if any of you watch him. SMP Films was his main channel. He also has a vlog channel called Dude Like Hella. It's Corey Williams. Corey Williams and Nathan Wills put up a video called Cats of Autumn where they did an impromptu piano thing. It was a minute long and they played this song together and just made it without planning it. I can't think of the word right now. Anyway, they uploaded the video and they said, download the track and upload a video of you or of your pets to this video because they did one to Mean Kitty is his other channel. The Mean Kitty. He did the Mean Kitty song. They did it with the Mean Kitty and they wanted to see. This was when you could still do video responses. On our old channel we actually took and we made a little clip video showing our dogs playing in the snow. At the time it was just Shelby and Shiloh. We showed them playing in the snow and we uploaded it. I really didn't think anything would happen. I didn't expect a big response. I just thought it was fun. It was actually one of the first videos that I put together as a video, not just as a home movie type thing. I guess if that makes sense. Anyway, I uploaded it and I put it as a video response and by the next morning I had like a thousand views on the video. Mind you, this was 2009. This was quite a while ago. YouTube time. At the time to get a thousand views on a video overnight was really cool when you were a nobody. Basically, I started reading through the comments. People were being really nice saying really cool things. People really liked the dogs. Some people subscribed to that channel and I thought, you know what? It was kind of fun. This would be a really cool way to document the lives of our dogs basically and show people what it's like to have a Husky. All these thoughts just started racing through my head and I thought I can do that. I can make videos. It would be fun. So, November 29th, 2009 we opened up this channel. I think I uploaded a video that day but I'm not positive. I think I uploaded a video testing out my flip cam. Started YouTube with a flip cam. Do you remember that? Remember that little rectangular camera that we had? I don't have it anymore but that's what we started it with. But yeah, I mean that was pretty much why. Then we started and it just started growing and it got bigger and this community started to form. The Pawdience, you guys, the support was amazing. You know, and then in 2011 we started the vlog channel because we had people asking about our lives so we started that channel. Not growing as fast as a dog's channel but you know, whatever, that's fine. We're having fun with it and then last year, was that last year? We started the gaming channel. Which of all my channels is the one I spend the least amount of time with because making gaming videos is hard when you have a real job and you're running two other channels and you're doing not that YouTube is not a real job but when you actually have a job you have to go to unlike some of these people that do gaming channels that that is their job. They get to play video games. I mean, how cool is that? I run out of time every day. I run out of time. I ran out of time. So anyway, that's long story short that's pretty much how we got started on YouTube. When we got her they told us she was middle age. We've had her a couple years. We really have no idea. Personally if I had to guess based on how much grain she's has in her face since we got her and the other issues that she has I'm gonna guess that she's around 11. My guess would be 11. Um a couple different people have come in to the to the deli that we've met. Excuse me. Why do you like doing this live video thing? Um because I feel like you know our videos have gotten so much more popular now. I don't have as much time as I used to to be able to go through and respond to everybody's comments individually. So this kind of gives me a chance to connect with you guys directly and in real time. And I it seems like you guys really like it. Um so that would kind of you know that's one of the reasons like we do the live shows is just to really connect with you guys a little bit more. Cause you know that's a big part of YouTube. It's a big part of the community. You know this whole community aspect it means a lot. My nose is running. Do you guys know any good breeders on the west coast?
